I don't know if it's because the seasons are longer now but people are so impatient for results.  I don't ever remember people asking for things like elimination matchups mid-season.  If we got one it was awesome but never expected.

Whats right with it?  It does not make The Challenge better. It makes us depressing and dreary. 

Opinion not fact.  Neither FM2 nor Duel 2 were "depressing and dreary".  British Columbia in particular is amazing.

Poor guy was probably expecting a partner twist midway, or even at the end or hoping at least the final to be invididual.
