Alternates: Corey, Lib and Thimna

they said blacks to the back lord

im shocked all 3 blonde germans made it on

The 4 Germans have a hard time understanding and talking English

so it makes more sense to cast them the production cew is amazing lol

why is there only 6 "black" people on this. I use the number 6 and the word black loosely btw. This feels like pre-invasion era.

I was looking forward to Thimna too. She look like she would've served :(

Please, pre-invasion means 1-2 minorities and the rest were white.

And we're getting more than just 1 or 2.

But I think at least half or more of the cast be should POC's, I like what CBS is doing and has introduced us to a bigger range of diversity on tv.

And we're getting more than just 1 or 2.

Rivals 3, the season before Invasion, had 5 and many other minorities...

Okay, that's like one season out of 20+ pre-Invasion that had a few. Inferno 2 had like 4 out of 20. (No I don't count Veronica's white *** or Tina's white ***)

Is that representative of the US?  If so, then yes--if not it should represent America.

The show's casting was perfect from Seasons through about G3 then it went down hill a bit but we have a black person make the final in every season but The Duel (only 4--Aneesa made F6) and Sexes (which had 3 asian women in the final)--it wasn't a problem then.  It became an issue when JEK started dominating and they were casting black men like Tyrie instead of Darrell and women like Jasmine instead of Coral.

Gauntlet 2 had 8 out of 32. Chileeee.

Veronica and Tina are POC.  Inferno had 6 out of 20 which is 30% so probably a fair representation of America at the time.  And 4 of them made it to the end.  Again--it wasn't a problem when they were casting better POC.

I don't care if it's representative of the US. It's important for everyone to be exposed to all kinds and backgrounds of people, so we can somehow finally start getting along and coexisting under the same land we call the US.

G2 was when they couldn't get anyone to agree to do it which lead to FM unfortunately.  And almost half of the POC representation made the finals.  Again--race wasn't an issue then.

Let's stop pretending anyone is mad Corey is an alternate.  It's a shame Day and Michaela backed out but that's not on production--well, they at least tried.

I know you're right but as a Hispanic I don't wanna claim Veronica's white washed bully ***. Giggles.

Anyone watching this show since the beginning has seen that.  Forcing a quota for shows doesn't bring people together.  They should cast the best people for it regardless of race or anything else.  It's why Exes was a horrible idea.

I'd claim the 3 time champ but that's just me  lol

The thing is, I think having this show go international IMO they should be trying to showcase us more cultures and people from different places. I'd love to see more Asian people on the show and more people from Africa. Asians are severely under represented in this show.

And trust me when I speak for ALL of the challenge fandom, no one is mad Corey is an alternate. That's a win, his little *** being such a drama queen towards Michaela is such an ugly look. Michaela is Survivor royalty, he's just bottom of the barrel trash.

And we should continue to bring as much diversity to the show, just saying.

Anyway, I have a little birdie that told me that Turbo & Tamara (aka me) won the first daily. You heard it here first. Wink

They've never done a good job with Asian males--Yes and Steve are pretty much the only two hence they keep trying to make Nam happen.  They did a great job back in the day with Asian females (see Sexes & Jamie Chung) but really haven't tried since then. Sandy had potential.

should we expect to see the 17th male dropped today too or is that not finalized yet?

I'd like to see them try more, I know there has to be more out good representation out there.

It's possible we're just missing a female, have not seen PR confirm if we're missing a female?

interesting it could be that too, i thought I saw gamer say that everyone was in argentina right now so i just assumed there were no more casting surprises

It's happened before were they don't find out who else is on location a few weeks in. (Shaleen comes to mind)

really weird all the people they cut were black when it's already so few and of course nobody cares about not seeing Corey but I think a good chunk here and elsewhere would've loved to see Thimna & Lib

If it was representative of America, it turns into the biggest loser

so either josh is an alt or he has a partner coming?

I'm a tiny bit bummed Corey won't be on, we need more gays that won't automatically lose anything physical and he's the only one this season that fit that bill. Maybe Laurels friend but who knows
