Its because she's said she has no interest in returning. The reason a lot of these people can be fake to eachother in the off-season is cause they don't want them pissed at them in a future season.

jay said he heard she had a bad experience and she's also like the only rookie in the cast that hasn't been promoting the season

 

time will tell I guess. even if mtv wanted to protect her, sometimes the cast & fan reaction can still be too much  

there was a time the cast refused to come back if CT was on. the cast strong armed production with the Camila incident. Networks have dropped ppl bc the backlash from the fans started affecting sponsors. 

CT missed 2 seasons if you count him showing up on Cutthroat.  The cast really didn't have much say.  I think people made too much of that.  I only remember Rachel truly being outspoken about don't wanting to do a season with him then she did Exes with him after not doing any that he wasn't on lol

Camila became violent with production or she'd probably still be a regular. 

Dee's the best potential example here.  I don't think CT/Camila work at all.

camila got violent, but then the reunion filmed like 2 weeks later, which happened to be the week before her incident was suppose to air. The cast made a big deal and forced production to air it.

Before & after the incident, production was going to spin the narrative which is why they had her doing PR, put the scene in the trailer, and then did a last minute re-edit and special. When she got violent and threatend to kill herself, production was wanted to hide it even more in order to protect her themselves. If it wasn't for the cast at that reunion, production was just going to cover it up so that is why I used it as an example

Ashley isn't going to be banned. She was featured heavily in the trailer and I doubt they want controversy. The difference with Dee is that it was all over Twitter. With Ashley they can spin it however they want. They would be stupid to purposely drag her name through the mud. Miss Josh on the other hand needs to stop appearing on these shows. 

she wasn't that heavily featured in the trailer. And if they want to ban her, they still might. Whatever she said/did happened towards the end of the season (not on social media like Dee) so they could still show as much of her as they want, maybe give her a not so nice edit and then when the episode of the incident arrives, they'll have built up whatever narrative they wanted to around her and use it as a psa or something.Ashley is past her peak on this show, she's still good tv (debatable) but she's definitely not irreplaceable anymore, the show won't suffer without her moving forward.
