I think it's more like the 30 year old rookies tend to lean more towards maturity rather than the immature twenty somethings and as those young rookies grow up into more capable challengers, then we grow an attachment to them like the OGs.
People are attached to the OGs because we saw them in their twenties and watched them grow into who they are today. With 30 year old rookies, it feels like we're getting them too close to their expiration date and so it feels like a waste because they won't have longevity.

It is the growth. As someone that obviously thinks we need OGs around we absolutely need to start bringing in people between 18-23 like the golden era. People don't all have to be the same age to get along, argue, fight, hook up, etc. An age range has always been good. It's like we pretend Norman wasn't 36 or so on The Gauntlet while Abram & Rachel were both 19 or 20 I believe. The age gap is completely irrelevant it's about the growth/development.

what hypocrisy? i don't understand why it's so hard for some of you to grasp what's trying to be said..
no one wants 30 year old rookies cause we're trying to build the next generation. we aren't going to be able to see natalie or jenny grow cause they're already old, good competitors and matured. we want young, inexperienced and immature like kailah, kyle, melissa or paulie were perfect.
everyone loves the spinoff because we're able to see older fan favorites come onto the show within a spinoff rather than taking up spots on the main series. plus, the og spinoff doesn't have 30 year old rookies.

Thats fair I guess. But at the same I time Im more familiar with Lio Rush, Natalie, and Lolo than I am Yes, LT, and Jisela. Just because I aint watch the rookies grow up on The Challenge/MTV doesnt mean I didnt follow their journey from their previous careers/shows.
