Georgia Steel is literally going to bring Melissa content. Had the whole house pressed on Love Island and will be a good competitor. I'm excited for her

no shade but lol at how we are getting UK contestants confirmed when it's the US ones leaving today.

The UK is also a couple hours ahead lol

They will meet to leave as a group today our time (12 or 1 their time)

Shouldve just brought in Melissa then.

Unpopular opinion here but I really wish they would just stop bringing in international reality tv stars. This is an American show and it makes more sense to bring in contestants from American reality shows like AYTO, Survivor & Big Brother who we might have seen.

I understand they’re trying to make The Challenge a thing in the UK but obviously based on the ratings it’s not going to happen.

Yikes

Found the Xenophobe.

they should add in a bunch of BBCAN people.  I think they would have better luck making the show a hit in Canada than they have trying to make it a hit in the UK.

I like some of the UK people (Georgia Theo) and Turbo as well but if the intent is to make the challenge a thing in the UK they're wasting their time.

honestly the UK lot are wayyy less trashy than the US, I do like seeing UK on as it breaks it up a bit but they just need to pick a 1 or 2 uk rookies each season as most of them are just filler

Bear is very trashy...

But at least they are US contestants which the audience know, what's the point of introducing someone completely new just for them to do nothing

totally idiotic that they didn't cast BBCan alumni for WotW and instead we got someone who left night 1 of The Bachelor...

it is not only UK. They bring the shows to the netherlands, belgium etc. They do not expect high viewerships here but its more as a filling. But we got vendettas and final reckoning advertisements in the netherlands focussed on Melissa, kyle and kayleigh. Probably also the reason to keep casting them. Moreover, love island UK is big in the rest of europe. So probablt the reason also to tap into that

This is true regardless if you want more UK people or not. Same risk with Fresh Meat or Bloodlines.  Bloodlines was a huge mistake

If people in other countries aren't going to watch as you seem to indicate then there's no reason for a large group from the UK. Roll with Kyle Theo and Georgia and if you find someone worth a shot bring them.

The UK is very trashy lol

like what was the point of casting Shaleen, who said nothing and nobody knew prior to the show starting, when they just could've casted someone from AYTO 6/7 who would've brought mess, OR someone from Canada who had previously shown that they are entertaining, and is worth debuting on a series as they'll be asked back

Not as trashy as the US lmao, maybe EOTB used to be but not anymore, Love Island contestants are angels compared to AYTO casts

The UK cast members are way more trashy than the US ones

Just Bear and Kyle though. Georgia and Theo didn't seem trashy.  Nor did Ashley.  Not sure about the others since they were irrelevant. Melissa is trashy. Kayleigh too is suppose. Okay so only 3 didn't seem trashy.  I take it back. The UK is more trashy

Simple cash: let’s say mtv nl pays minimal 50k(depends on marketsize) for a season and 10 other european countries do that too. Bc they can advertise it to the succes of geordie shore / ex on the beach.  Thats a lot of production covered

They could have casted Shaleen's sister, who we know will bring drama. But, actually, Shaleen did have drama but they decided not to show it. She couldn't do much about that.

Depends on what the UK people get as an app fee and how long those countries will continue to get advertisers when no one is watching

.

Come on Laurel. We need you baby!

Would not be surpised if someone just specifically said I want someone from Canada (to fit the worlds theme since they had no rep from there), preferably of color (to show diversity) but has to be really cheap. That plus a decent agent probably made it happen. Just my opinion though.

I could see them doing UK paired with US before UK vs. US but either way, wasn’t that War of the Worlds? So next
