As it was a puzzle I'm surprised Cara made it through the final purge against the others, except Leroy.
Why? She won an individual final solving a puzzle
Its not always her strongest though and I would have thought Ashley and Kam for sure would have beaten her. I can;t remember Tori and puzzles.
It depends on the puzzle for her, honestly. She figured out both puzzles on Rivals 2 final, she was the first girl to get the puzzle before the final on D30, she finished that block puzzle on FR first in her group, she finished the puzzle first for women in the plane last season first, etc etc. so she can be good but then she'll be stupid on a simple one like the opening WOTW one or the one on that endurance comp on Bloodlines or if it's math based.
Kam has been so-so at puzzles too so that's not shocking esp if Cara beat her to it. I think we've only seen Tori do one puzzle - the one to make the final on D30 where she came in 2nd to Cara despite getting there first. She was paired with Jordan during the puzzles on D30 final and he did them so fast all by himself we didn't see how she would have done.
Ashley is the only one that is suprising since that's a strength of her but anyone can have a bad day.

I don't believe Kam or Ashley are particularly strong when it comes to puzzles. I think they have probably been more consistent than Cara over time but none of these girls are someone I would expect to definitely do well on the puzzle. Cara also avoided the purge elimination last season by winning a puzzle. It all just depends on what the puzzle is. If math is involved I'm surprised any of the girls other than Ninja finished it to be honest.

Okay I'd clearly forgotten a few of Caras puzzles! WOTW was fresh in my mind. I just always want her gone!
Unlike previous seasons the final started that moment they got out of the plane for the location change. They didnt have a few days on the new location before doing it no electrolytes or get in the set of mind. So basically Airplane food and go run it lol

They really out here trying to keep these finals unsafe. Last year required IVs for fluid and this year they don't let them have any hydration preparation behand. Smh.

It's like they're making a game of it. Let's see how far we can go without killing them.

you should always be accurately hydrated tho, **** who goes a day without drinking water

for WOTW just drinking a normal amount of water before would still result in dehydration. Probably what happened to georgia as she probably wasn't expecting to run a ******* iron man lolol

Probably for this season no one expected to start the final as soon as they got out of the plane

First, no one is saying they skipped drinking altogether, but even the normal amount of hydration would not be enough for even the easiest of the challenge finals in recent years. It's crazy to even thing it. It's why they're always shoving water/drinks at them or having their have those backpacks with water in them. And people have still gotten dehydrated on finals before with all that help.
Second, flying on a plane in general is dehydrating - there's little to no humidity in the recycled air. Even drinking a bit on the plane is fine for normal people who just get off and go about their business, but it's not good for your body to just jump into something like running or whatever. Like when you play sports in heat, it's best to drink more than the usual daily amount the day before so your body is really hydrated - being on a plane right before makes that almost impossible.
I can see the winners getting 900 k and split it 4 ways and the runner ups splitting 100k.
Why would runner ups get anything after losing?
I mean usually the runner ups get something on most seasons. Didn't Theo get 200k just last season for second? Even Wes I think got 50k for third place.

On every team challenge other than The Gauntlet 3 I believe both teams (or all 3) got money.

On big team challenues when you either get first or last only the team that get first should get money

On team challenges, it's typically all or nothing when it comes to the final cash prize. Not always but usually, esp if there were only two teams competing. Some seasons runner-ups would get their bank accounts if they had them.
On every team challenge other than The Gauntlet 3 I believe both teams (or all 3) got money.
You mean didn't get money, right? Or at least didn't get any final money. The ones with bank accounts got to keep their banks at the end but got no additional money from the final. Maybe it's only for teams with bank accounts that 2nd place didn't get anything - they didn't on Season 1 for example but I can't remember for Seasons 2. They def didn't get money for Cutthroat for 2nd or 3rd because the other teams didn't even finish once it was announced Red won. Some Infernos and Gaunlets were no added money for a final loss either.
Rechecked: Season 2 the 2nd and 3rd places teams did get money. So maybe it was just those with bank accounts throughout the season or had only 2 teams competing that didn't get final prize money.
have to remember the last two seasons. Ct had a weak partner which teams used to get him out. Ct as an individual is still somebody nobody wants to face one on one.
But Julia didn't lose for CT? CT lost by himself. Stop making excuses.
When I read this I legit thought "Who is Julia?" ****.

Yeah Seaons 2 was the only season to include a final paycheck for losing teams. All others either had bank accounts or they were individual/pairing challenges which don't count in this regard. Seasons 2 was like the last real team challenge where more than two people won until now.
That's why everyone hates when they flim in Thailand tbh
Everyone except CT! That's his lucky spot
With Justin Booth back in control I can see it being another extreme Final. Maybe not quite as hard as last season but def the 2nd hardest ever.

Watch the next final be in Iraq or Afghanistan and have the cast and production crew are taken hostage.
ALEXEI!

We love seeing Cara put in all this work for the last 3 seasons and walking away penniless <3
