I think that's because those who were teenagers throughout the 90's decade like Darrell, Derrick, Abram, Shane, CT or Wes didn't live their lives drowned in social media/Internet/shitty *** TV shows like most of these kids nowadays, and since they used to hang out outside more, they had/have genuinely more relatable personalities.
Very much true. There are some great personalities in the newer group spanning from Hollywood - Bad Blood/AYTO 5 but they ignore most of them or don't make them a priority.
True that ! And this is why, them casting the same bullshit over and over **** me off...
Shane came off as a hypocrite to me when it came to Tony. Was he right? Yes, Tony asking for Shane because he thinks he's the worst doesn't make Tony look good. Yet Shane yelled at Cory and told him the most important thing was assuring you make it further in the game which is what Tony was trying to do. As for CT on earlier challenges no he wasn't the most shown cast member but that was at a time when the women were the focal point of the show. But no one can say CT was irrelevant he was the most dominate force the show ever saw in a 3 season streak. To bad they couldn't finish a puzzle, Tonya/Tina couldn't run, and he couldn't pull a flag off the ground the correct way.
No ! MTV try to push Cory as such ! That's the big problem. He doesn't have enough to charisma to do so. Cory is a great addition to the show, notably in the competition department (even though he sucks on Invasion from what we saw as of now), but at the same time, he's not enough strong. He's not bright either. His personality is kinda bland. I mean, he's a cool dude but just not "strong" enough.Casuals likes him solely because of his looks, not from what he actually brings to the show. Shane did came off as bratty and pissed, but he still destroyed Cory in several departments, which means MTV is making a huge mistake by pushing Cory (and Tony) to be the new faces of the show...
Since when is Charisma needed to carry this show? Have you seen the people who've they'd made the faces of this show after the golden era?
So because they got owned one time that means they suck and shouldn't be pushed? Who the hell do you suggest then? Old Schoolers? They aren't gonna do these shows forever and they now have obligations. AYTO? LMAO! None of them will be able to carry this show and that goes for the ones I like too. Stranded? Again LMAO!
I mean unless they start being legit diverse and have a different cast consisting of RW/RR/AYTO/Bloodlines every season and they start really getting people they ignore for whatever reason new regulars are gonna have to be established and those two are apart of the new wave and you're just going to have to deal with it.

Exactly. Everyone is allowed to play the game and do what they think will get them further. Not just Shane.

But you gotta undersand though..some of these people say no to the show. They can't just force them to come on.
Now the ones that want to come on and they just don't bother with for petty reasons...THAT I'm with you on.
Like I said, I liked Jordan as a personality for the new era. I know he has his haters, but he was at least interesting to me. I don't deny there's people from this new era that can bring something to the challenge. I just don't consider Cory/Tony/Jenna to be those people. None of them are that interesting to me, but that's just my opinion. Jordan/Nia/Marie/Ashley M/Jenny was my dream regulars for the show.

Charisma is a word you clearly don't understand. Kenny was charismatic, Wes has some sort ofCharisma, John has Charisma. It might have gotten old to you or you might not like it, but even Hitler had charisma. Who's really following Cory into battle? People on the show talk a lot of shit about John, but they don't hate him as much in real life. Sans a few (Sarah, Abram, girl who cheated on Abram)

Why doesn't Frank get any love when it comes to what he brings. I don't like him at all but he should be on this list.

I agree. I definitely started to appreciate him a little more since he's been away from the challenges. He was tolerable enough to me after Seasons 2 aired, despite some emotional outbursts but he's always been a really good competitor.

Come on now ! Neither Tony (who is a Bananas sucker) or Cory has enough personality to carry the show, it's a fact ! It doesn't mean, the show should be carried by the old-schoolers. I never had once suggested that. But I pointed out the fact that, Shane for instance without even trying, has a better dominant personality than Cory. And the fact they are making the main focus on him and Tony instead of sharing the spotlight on everybody, will kill the show rather sooner than later; because just look at how quick people turned out on Cory this season...And funny you talked about AYTO because I don't see any differences for instance between Nelson, Cory and Dario who are equally utterly cocky and would make people turn off the show rather than keep watching it. That's why focusing the show on Cory is a HUGE mistake ! It's funny you think that Cory could actually carry the show, LOL !But I'm and I was always agree with you on the fact, MTV should put the spotlights on the new school rather than keep bringing the same tired *** vets and counting on them to make the show. I know what Charisma is and frankly the people you listed don't have it. They may be good leaders but people follow them not because they're charming but because the people around them were sheep and LET them run the game. And keep in mind Cory has had allies on all 3 of his seasons so obviously there are people on this show that will ride into battle with him so if that's what you call charisma then he has it.
I don't care who hates Backpack or not on/off the show. That has nothing to do with anything so that's irrelevant.

Okay. So like I asked you before..Who do you suggest?
And I never said Cory could carry the show. I'm saying he could be a major character. But not carry the entire show on his back. You can be a big character and not have the whole show revolve around you. Look at Aneesa.
I mean I agree with you that they should focus on everybody and not just those two but I feel like they've done that with Invasion. All of the underdogs aside a couple of them have gotten some sort of screentime. If this cast turns out to be good with several new people I hope they do the same.

She declined Invasion, so she's a liar right there.
She scam them and used the one day trip for testing to visit her family for invasion, then a week after told them she wasn't interested on doing that season lol

That's why most of the cast on Invasion followed Nelson rather than him on the Shelter... LOL
I'm sure most of it has to do with production being dumb so I'm sure all the people we want to see don't get asked or even turn down the show. So finding regulars for the show is limited but that's why production should go back to its old school method of casting where you had your must have regulars like Coral/Miz/Abram/Katie/Veronica etc. mixed in with other veterans and newcomers/rookies. And different challengers had their moment to shine. I don't like how they continue to cast at least 8 of the same regulars from the JEK era/current era mixed in with challengers that do next to nothing for the most part. It just makes the challenge so predictable and you already know which players will go far.

I mean if people are so against Cory and Tony being the faces of the show that's fine. I'd rather there be no faces of this show as I think something like this should be an ensemble so I agree with that 100%. Ideally there should be a completly different cast each and every season like back in the 6 vs 6 days but that's not how they rock. But as of now those are two guys that are willing to do several challenges in a row.
And it doesn't have to be just them either..There's still Jenna and Ashley M. They'll probably have Dario and Amanda's crusty *** be regualrs too. And perhaps some of the first timers...I can see Hunter and Kailah being regulars as well.

PR's playing games. She's annoucing the most shitty names (minus Ashley M) everyday till April 1st then she's gonna say April Fools and announce Coral, Beth, and Tina are returning.
This is a good point. Not saying that's what PR is doing but the cast list could always change for the better. Just like the speculation for Invasion when we all thought Nate got a final call and Darrell was a confirmed no by the tea crew so many times, but Darrell ended up being on the challenge in addition to the surprise with Shane. So there's some hope.
DanishBoy wrote:No !
Have you seen the people who've they'd made the faces of this show after the golden era?So because they got owned one time that means they suck and shouldn't be pushed? Who the hell do you suggest then? Old Schoolers? They aren't gonna do these shows forever and they now have obligations. AYTO? LMAO! None of them will be able to carry this show and that goes for the ones I like too. Stranded? Again LMAO!I mean unless they start being legit diverse and have a different cast consisting of RW/RR/AYTO/Bloodlines every season and they start really getting people they ignore for whatever reason new regulars are gonna have to be established and those two are apart of the new wave and you're just going to have to deal with it.
That's how Charisma works by who likes or hates you from the show lol. A lot of people actually like John they understand it's a game and he's a ****.
No it isn't.
If people like you/trust you they'll follow you. Everyone isn't going to be a chief. If they don't like you they don't follow you unless they're coerced into doing so.
Okay. Whatever you say. I don't believe that's charisma but I'm not going to argue about it. Done with it.
Cory and Tony can vanish.

But, just not Cory at the main point for the new school as MTV trying to do... that's all I wanted to say !

***** is the ***** that cheap or broke? Yikes, I do love Nicole and her pounds of make up tho
So then Nelson has charisma too then.

Exactly I think he's kind of a big baby. But the kid brings it both drama and competition he's a good character.
No it isn't.
That actually would be a good April Fools Joke.

Here's a shocker most the people outside of vevmo would be happy with the list so far.

Anyways...
When your faves get on the challenge for the 4th time...
