does the cast go immediately home after eliminations? or do they go back to the house and pack and then go to a hotel or what? i feel like thats crazy to constantly have people flying out instead of keeping all of them in another location like on survior and then they all go home together
what are the living conditions like? ive heard that they are not good but it looks like it would be great to live in those big mansions!
BAD. Post Gauntlet 3 it became bad due to the new producer who was in the marines or something.
Living conditions used to be awesome. The cast member could bring books, magazines, ipods, had community cell phones, internet...they had chef's that made them great food...all kinds of liquor.
I don't know about NOW but on like the Battle of the Seasons 2 era, they were only allowed wine and vodka.
On an off day Sarah (RR: Campus Crawl) said some of the cast went to a random mansion by the house to watch tv, specifically Sex and the City. They were allowed to leave the house and go to restaurants and meet locals. Robin and Mark went on a date at a restaurant during Battle of the Sexes 2. Production would never allow that now.
The men on Battle of the sexes 1 got weed brownies from a jamaican local and on an off day the entire male cast ate them LOL. Colin had a whole blog about that. After the gauntlet 3some, Abram was at his hotel after being eliminated. Veronica and Rachel left the house to meet him at the hotel and had another one THAT SAME DAY lol (according to Norman). Aneesa and Davis slept at some random guy's apartment after a night of clubbing on the Inferno 3!
The Ruins and Cutthroat I heard were the challenges with the absolute worst conditions. The cast got fined if they went on the lawn!!!! That's why you only see them on their balconies or in their rooms...the very few times you see them by the pool, they had to get permission from production.
I went to the Cutthroat reunion show and the cast b**ched about the conditions for a good 45 minutes. Production made them clean their rooms so that they could have a ball to play with. They complied because there was no other form of entertainment. I enjoyed seeing Abram and Brad reminisce about the Inferno 2...
Damn. Veronica/Rachel came back for more? Wow. But I can't blame them though, Abram was hot back then.
And wow @ Cutthroat and Ruins, and I think the conditions haven't gotten any better. I read on here one time that on Rivals 2 they had no air conditioning and it was scorching hot where they were at on that challenge(Thailand I think?)so that had to suck. And I also remember reading get sick off the food they were given too that challenge.
And then on Exes 2...Well you can see the shit they should've shown just to see the conditions. Shit was nasty.
Don't see why people call this a vacation. That may have been true at one point but now? hell no.
Production purposely sabotaged Shavondas harness on the inferno 2, so Tonya would win. Shavonda had to go to the hospital that same night. This is why she never returned, though they still asked her time and time again.
Production has called Coral for EVERY challenge. She has yet to not be asked for one.
Cara (rw chicago 1) was also asked for every challenge. She eventually just got her number changed so production would stop calling.
The reason why cara maria was picked on so much during rivals is bc production wouldnt let the cast go out unless she went, and cara wanted to stay home most of the time.
Lurker revealed this awhile back (I think on the generic thread) but there was supposed to be a different elimination for Cara Maria/Laurel vs. Jasmine/Jonna on Rivals. It was an obstacle course that gave both teams an equal chance at winning but BMP changed the jungle to "Blast Off" so they could continue the Cara Maria vs. Jenn rivarly. Smh so unfair.
Saddest thing on that Challenge, It was devastating to watch Jonna losing that way after her great debut.
Also is a truth that they had just one elimination name for all 4 cards on The Duel I, except for a few of them. They have done dirty stuff on some players.
I think I read that they all need to do stuff or none of them can do it. (Obviously there are some exceptions like diem on exes 2)
Yep. There was drama on Seasons 2 because of that. I remember Alton not wanting to go somewhere and people were pissed at him because they couldn't go then because of that rule.

That's stupid, but I guess they do that to protect people's belongings from the ones staying at home.
I remember back to Sexes 2 a lot of people were clubbing, having dinners and some others just stayed home chilling or messing around, that dynamic was great. They even allowed Nick to have his bachelor party in his hometown and then come back to the house. They should allow them to do whatever they want.
On The Gauntlet, Someone on The Real World team, either Norman or Nathan, think it was Norm, ate one of the producers sandwich, production then caused Rachel B to lose in the Gauntlet cause they did not call Sarah G out when she was supposed to for having 2 hands on the rope
I remember Jermey just chilling at the house when everyone went out during the Gauntlet 2 lol.
I hate that coniditons are bad now in the house...I wish they would change that. I remember when Suzie interviewed Cara (RR) on her podcast they said they would return if conditions got better. It was more fun back in the day, drama happened, good drama, even when they had their freedom still.

When Wes called Derrick into the Duel, all of the cards had Pole Wrestle on them.
I've heard stories like, 5 years ago BMP had a meeting with at least 60+ RW/RR cast available and ready to do the challenge. Unlike now, where the cast pool is very limited because no one is available/wants to be part of it.
Oh people are willing to be on the shows but BMP just doesn't want them.
Can you imagine if we had a season all with people who would do it but are irrelevant like Emilee, trey, Jay, candice
Trey isn't irrelevant. Had drama and a great showing on both of his seasons. He also has rivals and exes. Idk how people think he brings nothing over people like Leroy who are cast every season.
Jay wasn't really irrelevant either. He cheated on his girlfriend with like two other girls, was a solid competitor, and quit a final and people shit on him/hate him for it. Had a lot of conflict with cast members. If BMP were smart he SHOULD be asked back just for that purpose.
Emilee sucks as a competitor and will most likely go home in the first few weeks every time, but she had a hookup on one of her only episodes of FA and would have been a perfect candiate for bloodlines.
Candice so far hasn't showed much of anything.
People are only irrelevant because they A) aren't cast and don't get to show what they have and aren't cast every season like Bananas, Leroy, Nany, Camila who literally bring nothing but fans seem to think they are relevant somehow.
I remember Jermey just chilling at the house when everyone went out during the Gauntlet 2 lol.

"Tonya you're such a dirty *****. Does he date you, no, does he want you no, you wanna know why cause you're a ho"
Elka was supposed to be on the Extreme Challenge. Not sure why she dropped lut or if she was dropped from the cast but she was originally scheduled to go.

I remember reading that about Inferno 2. I didn't know that that was the reason Shavoun retired. Don't blame her though, that is shady as hell and I wouldn't do the shows either if I knew they were willing to pull that kind of shit.
I really wish Cara had done a challenge. She would've been an excellent addition to the show.
Wow. I don't even like Cara and even I think that that's petty. I mean on one hand I get it. People want to go out and have fun and that rule is ******* stupid too but it's no reason to **** with someone constantly.
A funny production story I heard on E! was that during the real world Boston, they tried many many many times to manipulate Genesis into think ing she was in love with her drag queen friend. Genesis said that producers would twist her words and they heavily editted she and her friends' scenes to create a story that didnt really exist.
I have said this before, but I will go ahead and post it again, but production did a lot of editing to make it look like Paula/Emily were the super team on rivals 2. One cast member, I cant rememeber who, said they were almost beat many times, especially by nany/jonna.

Its kinda translated on the show that Nany/Jonna were close to beating them in many challenges, but after they left thats when they were portrayed as a super team

maybe it's because i pay close attention to detail but on Rivals 2 it was shown that Nany and Jonna were close to beating them. and i mean if you think about it they were a super team. i mean despite how close it was they still managed to win.
although i heard they cheated on the Trivia game tho.

I'm sad we never saw more Elka post Gauntlet......she was one of my favs
also no one responded to a post earlier that i too am curious about. Does produciton hold all elminated players in a seperate location or do they ship them out after each elimination?

This sounds like the shit..
I don't see what made them change? Budget cuts? Did ratings get that bad, or was it just the people working production at the time?

i would imagine they're shipped out after each elimination because when bloodlines was filming, a lot of the cast traveled afterwards and were popping up at different times across europe and such
it seems like they made living conditions for bloodlines better. Their location in germany looks like a high end manhattan pent house. Plus every episode they've been at that club/bar in turkey. I think they might have made conditions better because of the bloodlines though. In the shit they should have shown for exes 2 they revealed they didn't have running water though so thats pretty shitty and I couldn't deal with that if I were them.

i heard there was a point where they didnt have running water on bloodlines. & is it the same set up as the BOTS2 house? and the location change houses always look super nice!

No running water? Now how in the world would they wash their hands, bathe, cook, etc. Gross.
