I doubt this happens. It'd be cool for a 2 week thing but we really don't need old *** hags to return and bore up our screens on a regular season imo. People just need to accept that all these people aren't going to be the same they were 20ish years ago.
The "old hags" mostly always prove their worth though. Darrell did what Darrell always does on Invasion and CvP, be a boss, Veronica provided some of the biggest storylines of XXX and competed well, Brad was a modern-era TV mess, Shane is always relevant, Aneesa is always relevant, god knows they always try to make CT relevant. People have bad seasons like Darrell in XXX or Veronica in FR but that's more of a ****** format issue rather than anything they did wrong. Ironically one of the few OGs who I find to have spotty televsion "worth" is Mark...

I'm also sick of hearing people say 'old' in the derogatroy sense. It just looks agist when calling people in their late 30's / early 40's old and saying they're not worth much. THe current cast if full of people in their mid to late 30's and like MontanaGaveMeWine said the recent casting of OG's proves they till bring good entertainment. I'm sure some things were over produced back in the day, but over all things seemed more 'real' and less trashy than they do nowadays. I know I'm in the minoirty on this site, but I still stand by this opinion. Hoping this happens.
In one of the pics Mark posted he told one person noting may even happen till sometime next year. It's all up in the air...so I def think he's just trying to get an epic list together to show MTV/BMP that they have amazing names (honestly getting OG's like Coral and former castmembers like Jamie who made a name for herself will def help) of people who are ready to possibkly come back. And I agree with whoever said it shows how unfortunate the people doing casting the last ten seasons are that they could have potentially had some of these people. A rotatiing cast makes everyone fresh and exciting.

There are is a lot of logistic that will come to play if they were to do it money, relevancy, legacy, timing,how short they can actually film for since season 2/3 of the spinoff actually took around a month, etc. Then some them we act like Veronica that are a pain the *** to work with.

No......I like the man, but sadly Mark < Miz, Darrell, Shane, Timmy, Landon, Alton, Dan S, Dan R, Jamie, Syrus, Colin, Derrick.....the list continues. I can't put my finger on what he does wrong, just a quality that makes him less endearing to me than most of the OG men. He comes across as very *industry* and he has a ham-handed approach at self promotion. That being said he's still a nice person and would be my favorite guy if he were on total madness.

I'm sure thats the case for half of them, but I really think Mark was saying that to save face. If he had a legitimate offer to be on a full challenge he would go, same with people like Darrell, Ruthie etc. I agree there is little production can do to get someone like Rachel or Landon back for a full one. Coral would have already been back if she was paid fairly i.e. the same as like Cara. The pay scale does not work anymore because number of challenge appearences is no longer a reliable barometer of franchise worth. That's like saying Leroy is twice as valuable to the franchise as Coral, or Dario is just as valuable as Landon, which is nonsense. Coral knows what she's worth so she sticks to her guns. I think she'd show up if production ever put out.

I mean Cara isn't wrong (for once). Mark has been desperate for quite some time but they don't want him so this whole show is basically a selfish way for him to try to worm his way back in.
But like I said, these people have aged and grown up. There's nothing wrong with that, but they have matured and aren't going to act the same or compete the same and they're just going to tarnish their legacy imo. I disagree with "look at Veronica now". Veronica still was a decent competitor during the trilogy. She didn't have numbers or the ability to be involved as much as the past but she still wasn't useless IMO. To each their own though on that. Shane was arguably better in his return (as least as a competitor). Derrick was still boring but competed well. Did any old schooler really add nothing in terms of competition when they returned? Hell, even Trishelle made a final which she couldn't do her first time around.
All depends on the format and how they try to pull it off. It would be like the current challenges for sure but it could have a fan base--probably just not the demographic MTV wants
I agree that some of these old dudes who have turned slobby wouldn't be a good tv and are past their prime but Cara could never deliever in the way Coral, Beth, and Tina did and still could. They were iconic characters while Cara is nothing but a miserable and draining doormat who continuously looks like a fool on and off tv.

Tina is 2nd tier to me but she is what I love in a reality tv personality; she is loud, fun, funny, and brings the petty drama but doesn't go to dark. Veronica ruined her legacy with her return.

We disagree on Veronica but that's fine. I thought she was solid in her return. No one should have expected her to be the mid 20 version on Veronica.
XXX contributed to her legacy substantially, she was fire. She wouldn't have been invited for 31 & 32 if she wasn't, they wouldn't have paid that appearence fee. There are much stronger girls than Veronica on these challenges, I will always freely admit that, but I also don't think she has ever been one of the bottom 5 weakest girls on any challenge she has been on. V got hosed on 31 & 32, no amount of 6 am workouts with CT would have allowed her 5'1" body to reach that steak. The formats were sucky too, give her some concrete rules and she will find loopholes to sneak through and make great TV. When you have a challenge full of "twists" and last minute nothings, you dilute the opportunites to strategize and socialize which is where V has ALWAYS proven her TV worth.

I haven't watched Total Madness but I agree. Any time there's a tribunal or troika I feel like strategy is null & void.

Even though she was in the top half in XXX and theres at least five girls she's stronger than in each season, she is the only one attacked for not belonging on the show. No one really pans Nicole, Kayleigh, Marie, Britni etc. who V figuratively and literally has run circles around. Part of this is due to her age which is crap, the other is that an unlucky mission eliminated her & CT who for some reason is a fan favorite. If people that are clearly worse competitors than Veronica get this kind of flack too it wouldn't be annoying, but her "worth" on this show is scrutinized 10x more.
She still keeps up with the show too...I'd love to see her on this. I'm hoping her name pops up!
