In the world of kpop, members are assigned roles/titles based on their skills, lead dancer, main vocalist, sub vocalist, etc. There's an entire category called 'visual' for members of the group who aren't particularly talented or skilled at anything, but are still there because they are pretty and garner a lot of attraction just based on their looks alone (and by extension, charisma and sometimes comic relief). I think the same thing applies to reality TV. Blue is a Visual. Will she actually provide competiveness, drama, or mastermind strategy? No. But she's hot and her style/fashion sense is enough to gain traction amongst fans. People underestimate the power that visuals have in media consumption. Pretty and aesthetic looking faces are just as marketable as being able to crush someone in a hall brawl. People are always like 'Ugh why do they cast this person they're pretty but so bland/boring/don't provide anything.' Because they're visually appealing, and that alone makes money and gives whatever media it is a huge selling point. This is why she's on these posters despite being porkchopped
