No. He is not the challenge. Noone is the challenge. If this show is defined by one person then that's a huge sign that this show has been mishandeled.
You say that like that hasn't been the case for a while now

True. But like Graphik said my point still stands.
Oh I definitely agree, this has been the Bananas/CT show for a while now, but I think they have been doing a good job of trying to create "new stars" lately so hopefully they continue on this path.

Yeah this season will definitely create some new regulars that WE want to see & not these clowns they've made regulars over the past few years lol
If they start handling things right from here on out, the show could have its own Renaissance period ****

Yeah I agree. And a bunch of new ones will be made this season too so I definetly think we're in for a new era of this show very soon.

I think them trying to create "new stars" is exactly the problem, the people who emerge as stars have panache, that intangible je ne sais quoi... CT should have been reviled but has that mix being the bad boy who wants to be better, he knows he is flawed and tries to improve that....add his falling for Diem... questioning his own value as a person... eh voila a star & fan (ratings) draw emerges

YES. Queens Coral, Katie, Beth & Veronica are even better examples.

One thing I like about CT is that he takes breaks. It's always more refreshing to see him
Since Rivals 1- Exes 2 he did the same amount of shows Johnny did. After Exes 2 he took a break understandably. If Diem ( RIP) didn't pass away he would still being doing the show.

And after Exes 2 he still appeared on the show. He made an appearence on Bloodlines and is now on Invasion. The only time he really wasn't on the show at all in that period is Rivals 3.
I don't get why you people don't want him on the challenge anymore. I'm a casual fan and, besides the fact that the show has completely fallen off, I simply refuse to watch any of the latest seasons if they don't include him. Again, CT is the challenge.
I'm fine with CT quitting the show. I mean, he would be in his 40's soon. The dude has other priorities. We have enough new stars already who can be as good as him. We don't need a new CT or whatever since CT is and always will be CT but sometimes a good show got to get rid of his big stars to create a new story with new alumnis to be compatible with THIS generation. Yeah, youngsters are the one who watching real tv massively (whose most of them are millenials) and CT is quite old to them; why do you think Jenna & Zach have so much fans ?
Despite CT being The Challenge (or not), he won't doing this show til' he hit his 80's, and now he maybe better for him (and for the show) to quit. He's already and always will be a legend of this show. He already left a legacy behind him and this alone means how "iconic" the dude is to this show. So casting him forever would do nothing but RUIN the show on the long run. (and we can apply to Bananas too)

yeah, it's understandable that casting winners and entertaining people would ruin the show in the long run. not srs.
True but his point his sadly still valid.
