If you work at an ER then you're paycheck is by hours or base salary + overtime hence why nurses pick up extra shifts and work deathly hours. If you work at a practice like myself you're on a salary as it's by appointment and a 9-5 type schedule.. If she doesnt pick up shifts, she doesnt need to come into work if her boss approves time off. #NurseTea
