As others have mentioned, with what we have seen in the trailers, I believe Cayla and James take last place in the next Daily. So I expect this 'Cayla Stan' will enjoy her edit time, but we will see a weak and strong side of Cayla all in this one episode. As to the algorithm selection, what are the odds of the two of only three TAR players being teamed during it's first pairings? I agree, I don't believe it is random at all.
I was assuming Tiff/Cashel got last and then they voted in the TAR team because they don't have a lot of connections, but with the footage maybe you're right

Probably because they aren't smart enough to make sure everyone gets a new partner. For example, Sarah could want Ben at some point but if she takes Ben instead of say James then Tiffany doesn't have a partner that works. It's way too complicated not being able to repeat and letting them pick.

James goes into elim again on episode 3 and that's where he gets booted and unless he gets last in the daily twice in a row, people are clearly targeting him. Even on episode 1, he was one of the people under consideration to be thrown into elimination. I also remember Pinkrose saying that he was targeted for being 'shady'.
