Tori gives multiple storylines every season... you can hate her but yall delusional******* can't lie she's one of the top contributors of this dying show

I wonder if OS will finally admit that Tori provides now.

they definitely cast kaycee just because she's gay and asian lol. There is also 50 percent diversity on the challenge like cbs. Some ppl are being cast to check boxes kvm isn't lying about that

Not a Tori fan but she added way more this season than Laurel and Cara crying about each other

they definitely cast kaycee just because she's gay and asian lol. There is also 50 percent diversity on the challenge like cbs. Some ppl are being cast to check boxes kvm isn't lying about that

MTV doesn't have a 50% diversity requirement, so that's not true of the flagship. Would only apply to spin-offs on CBS. Kaycee is being cast because she is available. A lot of the more entertaining people just don't want to film for that long.

For a white woman on this show to remain part of the cast as Tori has done is nearly impossible because she's fighting with more options for limited spots.  It's why Kaycee and Nam for example will always be cast when they're willing.  Or Nehemiah and Darrell.  Or Aneesa.  Or Ryan and Derek showing up to have LGBTQ representatives for the men.  It's how Aviv thankfully was cast or even Kyland who's likeable but boring.

How is it virtually impossible when every season of this show more than half of the women are white, lol? Tori has more of a chance to be cast, not less. I've always thought y'all overstate how much people are being cast just because of their sexuality or race though. Like I think Kaycee keeps getting a call back because production just likes her, and she's available and willingly. Not because she's Asian and a lesbian. That's like saying Devin is impressive because he remains apart of the cast.

Because they have a larger group to pick white women from.  It's why we largely see the same black and asian women on repat.   There's less options.

Tori has to deliver or she won't be there.  Ryan, Derek and Kyland just have to show up, shut up and they'll be back.

Kaycee is double diverse along with being easy to work with--she's their golden child.

It is impressive Devin keeps being cast--same with John and CT.  Whereas Darrell (who's one of my all time favorites) and Nehemiah don't even need to speak and they're going to get calls.

They still need to cast diversity and have their own quotas that Kaycee and others help fill.  Pretending race and who they sleep with is irrelevant is simply not true.

They have a larger group of white women to pick from because they cast more white women, lol. Besides Aneesa, what black women do we see on repeat? We do see the same white people on repeat, i.e. Jordan, Devin, Michele. There's nothing impressive about white people being casted on a show that's majority white.

If they really cared about diversity they would of had Amber on era 4 this season instead of Michele, Olivia, or Jenny.

They still need to cast diversity and have their own quotas that Kaycee and others help fill.  Pretending race and who they sleep with is irrelevant is simply not true.

I've never seen anywhere that MTV has a race quota. Please provide a source to that claim.

They used to cast more white women making it more competitive.

Darrell Jonna Leroy Kyland Jasmine Kam Nehemiah Brandon Nia...all on repeat.  Even LT on All Stars.  Despite most of them now adding nothing

They have few options which is why era 2 guys were Brandon Nehemiah Ryan and Derek were picked.  They filled quotas because they didn't have good options.  Just like Kyland for era 3.

Amber is so useless she doesn't even make a dent with diversity.  They had Tina Aviv Aneesa Nia Jonna and Kaycee...they had their numbers once you add in all the women that are LGBTQ.   Laurel Rachel Cara Aneesa again Kaycee again...probably someone I'm forgetting

Is this real life?

hasn't pinkrose said multiple times that some people are just being cast because of diversity... coulda sworn she wrote kaycee  was still cast bc she's a double minority for being gay and asian and pleasant to work with. Shes probably said similar things about some others but i can't recall

but anyways i think anyone who isn't a moron could tell people like brandon, ryan and derek from era 2 were their to check boxes.

I could understand ryan because he debuted 20 years ago so he's an OG but brandon especially had no business being on as well as derek

None of those people are cast on repeat. Jonna hasn't done the flagship in almost 10 years and probably won't again. Nehemiah it's been 13 years. Same for Jasmine, Brandon, and Nia. All Stars has limited options which is why they started bringing on non-OG people and why we'll see Derrick on repeat because he's willing to do the show. Kam hasn't been back for four seasons and we probably won't see her again on the flagship. Kyland is the only one out of that list that will be consistent moving forward because he's apart of the new era.

Tori is era 3, she's not competing against a group of OG white women for spots. Tori will always have priority because many of the OG white women won't do this show.

Idk what happened what era two men. But Derek was cast because of how well he did on All Stars 4, Nehemiah actually provides for me. Brandon and Ryan are lackluster. But I seriously doubt that if a better white male era 2 man was available they wouldn't have cast them. They would of had Wes on in a heartbeat if he agreed. So again, white people don't have to be more impressive than non-white to get consistently cast. There is nothing impressive about Olivia, Michele, or Devin and they will continue to be cast.

The fact that people believe everything they read on the internet and can't provide a source to back up their claims? Yes, unfortunately that is real life.

Jonna nad Darrell have done more shows over the past 5 years than anyone.  All of them are cast whenever they want to do it.

Tori is going against a ton of white women for that spot.   Era 3 probably has the most people that want to do the show

Era 2 was "fill diversity" so they could cast other spots how they wanted.  Wes is impressive which is why he's on.   Same with Devin--you can hate Devin but he's always involved in drama.  Olivia is cast because they tried to kill her.  Michele is just their token Survivor woman

PR and gamer have confirmed that or do you not believe them?

We all know TV requires diversity.   Here's you thinking they can just cast "white people"

There was definitely some kind of iniative set a few years ago to have 50 percent or more diversity on the challenge. I would say around double agents which would make sense during the climate which the world was. Every season since then has been 50 percent or more. The bayleigh/dee situation then the leroy camila situation was rebrought back after leroy found out mtv was still following her so mtv made changes whether they said it outright to us or not

Jonna has only done All Stars recently. Like I already said, All Stars is limited to who they can get. And Jonna actually provides on those shows. She hasn't done the flagship since 2015. If All Stars doesn't get canceled, best believe that Tori will make her way on it soon too, lol. Devin is already there.

Era 3 definitely does not have the most white women that want to do the show. So Tori is going up against less for more spots. A lot of era 3 women aren't doing the show anymore (Jemmye, Teresa, Kailiah, Jenna etc). The only others would be Ashley M, and we know what happened with her. And maybe Nicole Z, which I just remembered is another white women who is cast all the time despite not being impressive. But you'll probably say it's because she's a lesbian like this show is lacking lesbian representation.

Wtf does a token Survivor player even mean? They're trying to push Michele as the new female face of the Challenge despite her being bland af.

I think MTV and the Challenge care about diversity, which is good. But they don't have a race/diversity quota like CBS does. There are multiple sources talking about CBS diversity quota. Not one source saying MTV has something similar. And no offense, but saying I heard it from an anonymous social media account is not a source.

False she also did the CBS version

Era 3 has an insane amount of white women.  That's when casting was primarily white.

They're pushing Michele as their Survivor person because she's somewhat attractive and friendly...she's what CBS wants

The Challenge has always cast people to fill spots.  Shane complained for years that they didn't use him because they had their gay to fill the spot. Same with Leroy.  Leroy made Nehemiah irrelevant

the challenge has always loved their one single token gay man per season lol. that only started to change recently. now they have two!

So they have 1 spot for gay men and 1 spot for black men, but it's more impressive that Tori is cast repeatedly when more than half the spots go to white women every season? Make it make sense.

there is absolutely people that they keep on the show for the sake of inclusivity. but def not 50% lol. I just looked at season 39's cast, only 9 out of 24 of the cast are POC.

i don't think there is an official quota but there probably is a general consensious that they need to step up their game with adding on non white and queer people, there has been an increase in that lately. and honestly it's not a bad thing at all, you can still find entertaining people while also keeping diversity in mind.. it's not that hard.

mtv has always been better than cbs when it came to diverse casting. not GOOD. but a lot better than most other networks. so they probably never was under pressure to impose a quota.

also lol at the idea that tori needs to try and work hard to keep getting cast. she literally had a whole storyline about taking anti depressants... they'll always find a way to make it work for her she's their golden girl

also lol at the idea that tori needs to try and work hard to keep getting cast.

I won't requote it, but everything Null said much better than me.

MTV has always been better with diversity compared to other cable networks, even back in the day. I think it's because they were originally a pop music channel. Still, they don't have a set in stone diversity quota like CBS does.

Negative in regards to back in the day, look at older RW/RR casts. Just 1 POC, 2 if they felt generous. San Diego comes to mind, Jacqueue/Jamie as POC's.

count again... exactly 12 out of 24 on challenge 39! Your not counting some of the people you think are white but mtv counts them as poc

Old school VH1 reality shows like flavor of love were superior when it came to diverse casting in the early and mid 2000s. Rock of love was white af tho lol

America's next top model also did a decent job at it, given the era most seasons filmed in
