Finally watched this. It was cute, wish it was longer. The nostalgia made me even more excited for this season. I actually like Paulie a little bit more for finally sticking up for Cara and saying that Laurel will never be a good friend to her.

I have read a few fan comments saying that promo is included in their contracts, hence why theyre arent getting paid extra (and I am assuming only flights/lodging would be covered). Can someone confirm? Or is production really doing them dirty

It seems like they hold a choice to go and it was just a fanfare thing. It wasn't real promotion to draw in viewers. I don't see the issue with not paying them if they aren't forcing them to be there. I would do it for the free trip, an excuse to party with friends, and celebrate with the fans who are allowing me to do the show.
See thats how I feel too oldschooler. Amanda lives in Denver and has her kid so no shock she opted out. But Cory has his current lifestyle because of the fans. If it wasnt a monumental season, maybe Id feel differently but I think its important to show love for your fans because without us, he wouldve had to grow up and get a 9-5. I feel some type of way that he lives in LA but refused to do the events but showed up at the bars to get drunk with the cast.
Also just started listening to Plantains podcast about Ep 0 and this is the second time its been insinuated that Olivia and Mark have hooked up in the past

No studio or network pays talent (including A-list actors) for press. The assumption is the talent would want the project to do well to get additional compensation/seasons/sequels. Also with movies you get paid more for successful films
