I feel like it's easy for people to think Cara's overrated because her performance on the Challenge thus far doesn't match her current fitness level. But honestly, as someone who follows her on IG and sees all the stuff she posts, I don't see anyone in the current cast of girls being able to match CM purely strengthwise. I'm fairly certain none of them have devoted their lives to fitness the way Cara has this past year or so. She's doing the same kinda stuff Emily does, and even though being a crossfitter obviously doesn't guarantee you a Challenge win, I think comparing her now to her back when she was partnered with Darrell is super misguided. Just my two cents. I don't think she's a best in the Challenges (yet) but she's definitely a beast in the gym and I can't see many girls doing what she does, certainly not in this cast.

Do you know how many times people have said someone was a lock to make the final and they didn't? What if she gets injured? What if she gets DQ'd in an elimination? If CT lost the first Duel nothing is a lock. Common sense tells one she is likely to make the final. She made those finals because of her partner--not because of her. Put Cara in an elimination with Theresa/Nany/Camila it's not a sure thing she will win. She can beat all of those mentioned but they are not guaranteed wins. Therefore, she can not be elite.

If CT lost the first Duel nothing is a lock. Common sense tells one she is likely to make the final. She made those finals because of her partner--not because of her. You are acting as though her beating those four girls with Laurel & Cooke means she's better than them--it doesn't. It proves she had the better partner. That's called common sense.

Your right; track record of dominance is important. But wouldn't someone who started off as amateur, yet as every season progressed up'd her reputation earn her way to "elite". Her elimination record is impressive already. To think about it, those names mentioned, she can beat without hesitation.
But think about this,
would you rather have: Laurel vs. Theresa| Laurel vs. Cara Maria| Cara Maria vs. Theresa
Cara Maria blends with all those "elite" members and shines from the others. Again, this is coming from a non- caramaria fan.
I feel ok putting CM and Sarah in the same category simply because Sarah's cardio hasn't exactly been on point in recent seasons, and I haven't seen CM look the slightest bit gassed since FM2. So I think in a final it'd be a tossup. Again, just my opinion and I totally respect yours.
