to be completely fair the main reason that we see ****** as "ewwwww groceee" is due to the possibility of having a deformed inbred baby after intercourse and the only way that would happen is if you have sex with someone that is too close to you biologically. for an adopted relative, while there may be an emotional attachment there similar to that of between blood relatives, there isnt a real biological inhibition placed in your brain that tells you that its technically "wrong" and that something very bad is going to happen to your child
also to make ****** seem even more of a non issue, i recently read that half of people who who were separated from a BIOLOGICAL sibling or parent at a young age and were reunited later on in their lives ended up as adults ended up having sexual/romantic feelings for one another. this means that even the BIOLOGICAL mechanisms to prevent ****** werent strong enough and that you also need proximity with your child/sibling as well but that certainly doesnt mean that proximity and social conditioning with an adopted family member by itself would be enough to prevent ******
