In terms of potential drama starters we have Tyler, Janelle, Tina, Jasmine, drunk Ruthie and Emilee who you know will be very extra and will be fun to laugh at. Add in Brad who was messy during his comeback and we could have a show.

Once again, your ******* can stop speaking on what I will be ok with. If Chodi was on a solid cast I would understand and accept her role without being a fan. She would have been a logical choice last season over non-OGs Jimmy and sorry but even Jonna. The entire ensemble is awful and that is my issue.

I think it's an unconscionable decision to not contact Julie (for what seem to be genuinely stupid reasons) and this isn't my first choice for a cast (based off the limited names we've told); that being said, I don't even know who will be part of the cast. I'm reserving judgment until I see the final, confirmed cast list.
As for the names we're seeing now: again, it's not who I would pick but placing the blame entirely on production is wrong. It's pretty clear that there's a sizeable group of cast members who cannot take time off and, in some cases, will not appear unless they are paid a ridiculous sum of money. They are trying to squeeze out one last, huge payday (which they should!) but it seems clear some of them have a bottom line and will not take a penny less. The answer isn't to "just pay them!" or "trim the budget elsewhere!" (which is really sophomoric thinking).
