these people used to do this show for fun playing carnival games and were happy winning 10k at the end of a season with a team and look at how much it's changed now... back then were such easier times

You're not appreciating how disappointing this is for an OG fan. The people you new fans stan are going to be on challenges for the next 5+ years. If they're not on All-Stars 5, oh well, you'll see them again on a variety of shows. This is not the case for 80% of the people I want to see. All-Stars is the only shot they got. We were told All-Stars 4 was going to be the last hurrah, the clouds part and we get a 5th season only to have it literally just the 41st version of the challenge. Sorry I'm catching up, MontanaGaveMeWine - once again with the perfect post!! In my opinion the cast of season of 40 is how the flag ship always be - a solid mix of competitors from all eras, and I can accept the fact that they use these new people over and over again - some of my favs were used multiple seasons in a row back in the day too. It doesn't effect my day to to day life, but if we're just getting what should be a season 41 cast on a show that the fans pay to see and we don't get the random old schoolers that this is really their only shot in heck to get cast then we're allowed to complain.
Katie and Veronica aren't rivals anymore. Veronica only hated Katie back when she still cared about winning the game. Nowadays they would happily agree to flop together.

Katie herself said it was blown up and theyve been fine for years. They wouldnt do great in dailies but I would like to see how they would maneuver politically if linked together.
