I'm rewatching season 2 and again sooo confused. Why did LT get to compete to stay after Kendal DQd but Cohutta didn't get that chance the VERY next elimination...how can they be so inconsistent lol. The incompetence is WILD lol.
it was 100% due to production negligence. Kendal went home bc a crew member brought COVID into the house, leading to her disqualification; therefore, it would be extra unfair for her partner to get DQ. Casey was DQ bc she was pregnant, no fault of production, so they could DQ Cohutta too

The era of The Challenge when there was a covid outbreak season after season was so ******* funny like how are you the only reality show with covid problems

lmao I think it still happens more often than not... world champs had covid issues, I could be wrong but I think usa/aus/uk/argentina are the only ones who havent had a covid outbreak because it still seems to be happening on the main and all stars.

Well, it was also production negligence not to give Casey a pregnancy test before filming started

Can production do that without pushback tho? I just feel like that crosses a barrier that a COVID test wouldn't.
Like a job isn't going to say "Oh take a pregnancy test." without hell being raised.
Although, the consistent pregnancies are an oversight on their part , because it's been like three or four in the past few years.
Casey said herself she was upset that production didnt do a pregnancy test for her.
At least mandatory testing would give women the option to compete while pregnant (if insurance allowed, not sure if that comes into play) instead of doing it unknowingly. I think most, if not all, women would prefer mandatory pregnancy tests over the worst case scenario (unknowingly being pregnant and miscarrying because of something in the game)

Most is probably true but would one of the others sue?
In general, how many women would agree to take a pregnancy test as part of a medical background test for employment?

you're doing activities that can risk a pregnancy loss, so requiring a pregnancy test as a medical background does make sense.

In my opinion they need to put in their contracts that pregnancy the same day they are moving in to the house are required. They are putting these people on an environment that easily can lead to a miscarriage.
I don't know how many would feel 100% comfortable with the idea, even if it's rational in regards to the setting. But, there's always the possibility of they just don't have to compete.
Casey feels like an "in hindsight response" because if she felt like that prior, why not take a test?
It's such a niche issue but the fact it keeps happening is what boggles the mind because was this ever an issue prior to Melissa? At least on such a consistent basis.
Im a woman and I truly dont see the harm at all... we assume theyre not pregnant when they show up. The tests just confirm it. I dont know about the other women here, but majority of the time I go to the doctors, I have to give a urine sample so they can test for pregnancy (never once asking whether or not I've been active lately) and I remember Casey saying something similar on Twitter.
Now if they want to rewrite the contracts that if someone is pregnant and is willing to sign off on production/insurance not being liable, thats fine.
People are acting like a pregnancy test is such an invasive procedure. If they assure anonymity and apply HIPPA practices, peeing on a stick should be okay. The nature of this "job" is different than say, an office job, where their performance is not affected by them carrying a fetus.

A pregnancy exam is nothing compared to the things they sign for on their contract.
Before Melissa there was Robin on The Duel 2 but it was like a decade in between both seasons

It's just about if they'll want to be be told they have to, rather than it be a voluntary thing on their end.
There's just a difference between doing something with a doctor and the producers of a show you compete on. And, we don't know if production would consider sexuality, possible infertility, etc. And, if some women would want to disclose things they otherwise wouldn't.
I DO think there's a benefit to being proactive in this. And I could see a lot of the vets agreeing with the policy. Casey and Melissa are prime examples, especially since Melissa would've gone through her first trimester on TM.
It's not a bad idea per se, but I can see at least one person being vocally against it and that causes a whole other thing despite production trying to take a rational response to an ongoing health concern.

ooooop should be coming soon. That person is known to get photos before everyone
sounds like the cast photos suck again... its pathetic that these cast members have better photos shot on smart phones for their IG than a professional photographer can produce for a tv show
I might cry when the cast and trailer is released...till Nicoldosre Z is the star of the trailer and then I'll be back to the negative crying about production and cursing Skye Flopic.

Kendal was robbed. Her and LT were winning that season. She's a 2x champ! Legend!

Thinking about it now...
Would women like Kaycee, Rachel, and Nany have to take a test if the chances are slim to none unless they were actively trying for a kid?
I think production needs to get ahead of this due to its continuous presence, but I can see many women thinking it's invasive to require it.
And imagine the headlines if they did. I'm overthinking it admittedly but it just opens a can of worms that can get out of hand quick.
no one she have to tell these women to take a pregnancy test before going on the challenge like cmon now take one yourself duhhhh

Who said or implied it was invasive?

So tomorrow or Thursday might be it
