He will never not irk me.

If you're partnered with Theresa on a challenge and you drag her down, then good luck getting me to like you. The only person that did that that I still like is another cast member on this season: legend Jasmine! Smile

Omg, perhaps I should reevaluate my hatred for Ryan

Omg someone was voted into elimination who cares. People acting like her own family or Paulie betrayed her when people she hasn't talked to in years "betrayed" her

You're wrong. She DIDN'T DESERVE IT. She hardly even victimized herself, she was just rightfully pissed... so for you to think that she was excessively victimizing herself must mean that you KNOW that the Queen was a victim!

Sure nobody deserves to be put into elimination on a game show where that happens every episode

You're supposed to be upset when you get thrown in. Cara understands the assignment. She's the Queen for a reason.

why do he look like that this season? its a jumpscare everytime he comes on screen. I cant remember if he was ever problematic aside from victim blaming Evelyn/Kellyanne on The Island, but idk he looks a mess.

He is the male equivalent to Jemmye

Well, that's stan culture. Regardless it seems that it was generally known in the house that Cara and Brandon were supposed to have one another in the game (Jay literally said in the episode "they're each other's #1s"). Brandon wasn't a big enough person to tell Cara what he was going to do, even with her mentioning the vote to him. I think Brandon was trying to downplay their dynamic to save face. Cara has a right to feel betrayed.

Can you downplay a dynamic that hasn't had contact in 8 years?

Cara has a right to be betrayed by someone she hasn't spoken to in a nearly decade. But, Kam gets mad at Cara for not voting her way and only she gets listed as entitled?

Everyone is playing the game, most of these "betrayals" aren't betrayals. Half of these criticisms, Ryan's included, are just based on who likes who.

Wrong thread

So please explain Brandon saying it's like time hasn't passed between them and talking about salvaging their "friendship," as well as Jay saying Brandon and Cara were each other's #1s...

They reconnected after 8 years on a PERSONAL level. Brandon had a confessional as far back as episode one (or two) that he was targeting threats this time around.

Cara is a threat and I can imagine a near decade of no-contact makes it easier to make a move against her. If they were attached to the hip with a bigger history then I'd say that was probably unnecessarily sneaky. But, at the end of the day, Cara posed a threat, she was in a position where she was vulnerable and Brandon separated his personal like of her with his best interests in the game. A long gap in contact is going make that easier to do, there's no real loss if they never speak again.

But salvaging a friendship they had at one point/were re-developing doesn't negate anything he made game-wise. He can see the value in her as a person but he was operating under the guise of trying to win and he and Cara aren't THAT close he couldn't take a shot.

And, again y'all understood game decisions when Cara didn't vote in Rachel because of what she had set-up for herself, despite Kam wanting support from a friend (one I imagine she's actually spoken to in less than eight years). But, Brandon separates personal feelings from game and he's suddenly the main one at fault? Again, with even less immediate history.

I don't even see Rachel getting dragged for being upset Tina voted her when she just took Tina's star. Both were game, it's the picking and choosing.

Brandon and Jasmine made a move!   They did what everyone wants.  Underdogs to target threats.   Good for them.

they keep holding onto that one Brandon confessional, and its so funny cause like confessionals are the easiest things to manipulate in reality tv.

Preach

Just watched.

brandon is a coward...he could've just told Cara what he wanted to do. Jay is solid for being loyal even though it didn't matter. Jasmine is a joke... and will never be a threat or win. Talking bout she's playing her game.

Cara was upset that she got thrown in. That's not necessarily entitlement. Kam getting upset that Cara didn't do exactly what she wanted when her vote didn't even matter absolutely is entitlement.

Cara can be upset, Kam can also be upset a close friend did not have her back in a situation where she needed her to.

Both these situations boil down to loyalty, so if it's understood why Cara is upset about a "friend" she barely speaks with being unloyal, why can't Kam be upset a friend she has recent interactions with couldn't show support in a vote?

While voting someone directly in is not the same as not voting the same way as a friend, both are game decisions that cause a rift. No one is really wrong for acting the way they are because it's a game and they need to survive.

Cara can be upset she was voted in AND wants to protect Rachel for her benefit, Brandon and Jasmine can vote Cara in because she is a large threat and they had to take a shot, and Kam can be upset Cara has a deal that doesn't include her and poses a threat to her getting things done in the game. All these make sense in context, I just don't get (trust me I actually get it) why only Cara's POV is the one being respected.

What about Kam not having loyalty to Cara? It's not loyal of Kam to expect Cara to give up her star...for no real reason since Kam was getting what she wanted. I don't understand why "loyalty" is only defined in terms of what Kam wants.

Anyway I'm looking at the friendships in context of the game. Brandon and Jasmine voting against an ally in the game is fine if it truly helps them in the game; I just don't think it did in this instance. Cara is a strong player and wasn't going to vote either of them in, so making an enemy of her this early in the game isn't a good move IMO. To me it's a move you make a few more eliminations down the road.

cara always gets the 'entitled' card thrown at her but the ones who call her that are usually the ones who are actually entitled. kailah was way more stuck up and expected people to kiss her *** during vendettas than cara was, kam is acting like all her friends need to make moves that benefit her and leroy specifically or else they're fake, ashley throws a giant fit when something didn't go her way. tori acting like the rookies have to obey her every move and making everything about her... not to mention how entitled jordan and bananas are. cara can be annoying but she really is not any more cocky than everyone else

YES! Cara is a good competitor, so it's easier for people to buy that she's "entitled" because she has a reason to be entitled, even though she's NOT. I just got done rewatching Vendettas and when everyone was jumping her at the reunion over her made up entitlement, my heart broke for her Sad

Did Kam tell Cara to give her her star and go get another one herself? People are making a (fairly rational) assumption Rachel going in signifies Cara gets her star taken but we don't know that for sure. Kam didn't even seem to be aware they had a deal until after the vote. As much as it didn't matter Cara didn't vote Rachel, in Kam's eye it wouldn't matter if she did since she was going in anyway. She said it painly last episode " Cara and Rachel have a deal that doesn't include me, therefore I am against it", that makes perfect sense.

Not saying everyone has to be loyal to Kam only but I'm asking "Why is loyalty only understood in context of Cara?"

And, we can call it too early all we want, it was a girl's day, and Cara and Rachel were the only girls in the bottom worth a damn competitively. Why waste a vote sending in Rachel against V or Flora when she likely beats them, takes another star, and likely gives it to someone weak, which better positions her? If someone like Laurel, even Nicole was right there I'd agree but this was their one-shot to ensure a threat is going home. Like there's not always a next time, and Jasmine has been at the bottom more than once she needs someone like V or Flora in the game if she wants a shot to earn a star.

None of this got anything to do with Ryan.

But to sum it up Cara has a right to be mad. Brandon and Jasmine had a right to make a game move. Kam had a right to squash a dynamic that can impact her long-term game.

I just find it funny NOW everyone cares about loyalty when Cara got betrayed, but rightfully defended Cara for making a game move that was benefiting her long-term game despite it being against a friend. Y'all cannot have it both ways.

It really come down to who likes who better like it was said
