I think its kinda hard to gage the live tweeting since its released at 3am and people watch it whenever vs if they had to watch it on tv at a certain time.

promotion definitely sucks though

Is it possible that the demographics for All Star skew older, which might explain lower social media engagement?

I do think that's a factor

Dad, what is your social media engagement like? Do you have IG and post about it? I hope you are doing your part.

The All-Star episode thread having more post before the episode drops than the regular show episode thread will have all night <3

With 10 post in a row from Timster and KVM arguing in circles lol

Paramount need to release the metrics for their shows and original movies.

I think homecoming probably has more views than All Stars but that's an assumption on my part.

My husband and I only argue in the bedroom not online.

Keep arguing and live tweeting! We'll take all the talk we can get.

I really wish they would released the metrics for either show because  the engagement for both is low on each show IG pages. Plus, the cast for either show followings hasn't grown by much.

Found this a while ago for a work presentation - but here is an article with subscriber demographic - https://morningconsult.com/2021/03/01/paramount-plus-streaming-subscriber-demographics/

Paramount + could be growing, but it looks like MTV content isn;t moving the needle; which is why the streaming service can be growing but engagement with All Stars seasons isn't reflecting the growth.

Make sense plus the increase with Paramount also had to do with other shows and movies + companies like T-Mobile offering for free.

Oh yeah, totally forgot about bundles and promotions - this always helps with subscriptions. Overall it won't help RW Homecoming/All Stars - its shows that cater to an already established audience (mostly) cause its all about nostaglia. IMO.

Depends on what platform we talking about. FB tends to skew older compared to TikTok and IG.

timster's weekly play-by-play. haha.

I have Paramount Plus and while I follow some of the show and cast on social media and am on here lurking daily with the very occassional post, I do not interact with any of them on IG or Twitter or TikTok.  I dont think I am the only one doing this but I am older so...

I saw you break the news. Has he claimed you as his boo yet?

They don't want to embarrass themselves. The other streaming services only release numbers for their big hits but keeps hush about mid tier and flops. Paramount clearly has a strong MTV fanbase because before they removed the trending page it was always top 3. Allstars and Homecoming would trend when the episode came out and fall out the next couple days. I think Homecoming actually brings in traffic outside of the regular fanbase that was always watching MTV shows through the app. Those same people don't watch Allstars.

viacom has been doing horrible all year, even if the challenge/rw numbers were great it'd probably make paramount+ look awful since all their other shows are probably flopping.

if they are still doing that survivior/bb challenge show, that could be massive on the site

i wonder whats more expensive to make RW or All stars? id assume all stars but that probably has more episodes too i think? idk

True to this. Big Brother feeds is what brings in the MONEY but even then it's not as many people as you'd expect. I don't remember how many feedsters watched the regular feeds but the peak viewers during BBOTT in 2016 I think had about 50-60k people in the live chatroom during the premiere and finale. Allstars 1 probably had way better ratings since it aired during Big Bruva

Pink will probably debunk me but I think Allstars is more expensive. x3 as many people to pay, way more production, bigger house to rent, more airane tickets to buy, more hotel rooms, more pieces to buy/rent for the challenges.

I have IG but rarely use it

This episode is going to be so good

I hate that this episode will be rushed with all it's great content.

Thats a good question of which one costs more. For All Stars, the flights, challenges, and production add up. But I'm sure the cost of renting the LA house was way more than the All Stars Cancun house and they were paid lots of money to do Homecoming. But All Stars films longer so that factors into it too.

We are just a more mature audience who just enjoys and doesn't live tweet everything. The show is thriving!

the better thing they should have done for SLA is make it half vets, half survivor/bb and lean into that theme. yes, michelle and tommy are boring  but the ratings would have been their highest ever with that theme no doubt in my mind
