They should go to the local jails of at least 10 major cities to recruit people. Miami, NYC, LA, Chicago, SF, DC, Atlanta, Houston, Baltimore and Philly. Add Seattle or Portland for weird PNW vibes.
Fresh Meat 3 after the ratings of 39 is just asking for cancellation.
season 40 only did 80k more viewers than 39 and that's with a million castmembers and all the vets back so no it wouldn't. They would save a lot of money on appearance fees and the prize at the end for basically the same ratings.

You're acting like 80k isn't significant in 2024
it's not. 39 had 24 mostly unknows.... 40 has 40 castmembers that are pretty much allstars so it should have been a bigger gap than 80k.

The flagship is surviving by the skin of its teeth, buoyed by its robust online community on reddit, youtube, and here. If you make 41 and 42 essentially 39 or even USA2 levels of vets and rookies, it doesn't matter if its good or not, the fanbase will start to deteriorate. The franchise doesn't have a longterm solution at survival anyway, cable is dead, MTV is dead, Paramount is dying.

80k on MTV in 2024 is insane. I assure you're they're thrilled with it.
You're delusional if you expected it to be more than that. They were probably terrified it would be the same. People keep dropping cable and they saw an increase of 80k going against BB--come on--stop the bullshit.
An 80k increase is significant. The Challenge has been absolute shit since Total Madness. More and more people are ditching cable and there's no other way to view it. So the fact that they were able to bring back 80k is impressive.

I think it's less about the number 80k, and moreso that it's a 20% increase in viewers year over year, and the demo was the strongest in three years. It is a significant success for the survival of the show in the short term.
But also, this debuted versus Big Brother and not Survivor. Survivor is gonna eat their lunch.
Rookies are needed. We just need good rookies that can carry the torch which I don't trust Skkkye to cast. They are gonna go cheap again and cast international rookies who don't fit in or connect with fans.
no shade but the s41 rookies need to be from american tv shows. i get their idea for bringing international competitors in, as they tried airing the show internationally, but the challenge has not been successful in any other market (look at the intl spinoffs that all flopped), so casting someone from The Mole Germany is not bringing in new viewers to MTV. bringing in NEW rookies from SUCCESSFUL american shows (love island, the traitors, survivor, big brother, etc) is the smartest thing they can do to attract new viewers. i'm sure they'll still find a way to mess this up lmaoooo but it should be very telling that Era 4 was made up of 8 americans 2 brits and 0 intls (of the 100 they've cast).
I just want good-looking, young, dynamic personalities that aren't afraid to go against the grain and won't embarrass themselves physically.
If I'm picking eight rookie Survivors that sentence applies to, it's: Sydney Segal, Dee Valladares, Venus Vafa, Tori Meehan, Q Burdette, Alec Merlino, Cole Medders, and Kaleb Gebrewold.
Next rung down honorable mentions to Davie Rickenbacker, Tiff Ervin, Dean Kowalski, Lauren O'Connell, Ali Elliot, and Chris Noble.
Only not including Drea Wheeler because she recently had a child.
Sydney is the #1 draft pick, though. The fact that she didn't have Ameera or Alyssa S.'s spot on USA2 was ridiculous.
People keep talking about her on this site but I legit can't remember her at all lol. Idk why I remember almost everyone else that season.
She was screwed over by the Hourglass twist. She was legit playing a great social and physical game while also being very snarky and hating everyone lol. She's like a more physical, less volatile Amanda.

Ah that's why. I feel like I block that hourglass shit out of my mind lol

Yeah, she was Danny's #1 and then the Hourglass twist happened and Xander and Evie were gonna play an idol to save one of themselves and Naseer had an idol too, so Shan piled votes onto Sydney because literally everyone but her was safe or could have an idol played on them. She has so much potential to be a super fun villain with the physical prowess to back it up.

She had a few moments that were old school villainesque while still being socially elite but it was her post-game interviews that kind of made her a legend. She doesn't give a f*** what she says. She was like Katie, Coral, and Amanda all mixed in one.

I'm fine with rookies, but we aren't getting people we want to see.

Incoming Jared Fields and Jonathan Young.

No internationals?
or even understand what they signed up for
I want Jared from bb25... would say Joseph from 24 but he's boring
Is this still filming this year?

At least Jared would bring drama and competition. Jonathan a snore tbh.
I like Jared but he didnt bring drama on BB amd he wasn't a comp beast. You just made that up lol.

I love Davie but he wouldn't bring drama, probably wouldn't hookup and would get tossed around.
Davie deserves a mention simply for pulling off the Christian idol/minority split vote move. Top 5 move in Survivor history to this day.

Jared makes sense.
And he was messy so I wouldn't be shocked if he's on. BB25 had some potentially messy younger rookies (Kirsten, Blue, America).
Hisam old as shit but I feel like he'd actually do well on here.
I know yall don't like some of these people I also don't care.

Damn, when Oldschooler is on, he's 1000% on. Sydney is a rare gem. She wants to be a villain and is great at it.
BB25 is the worst season of all-time. It should be ignored but if Felicia, Kristen, and Reilly received calls I'd be ok.
