My guess is Season 2 will air the same as last year and come out around October in time for Halloween. Here's some spoilers and things to expect in Season 2. I waited to share the following till there was official news from castmembers or their director. The following are two characters to be introduced in season two of the The Walking Dead. This is to share with those who dont read the comic and want to know what to expect in Season 2. The Walking Dead Season 2 Spoilers Above is Michonne who has been confirmed by Frank Darabont and many others to be introduced in early stages of season 2. She's a survivour who travels around with a samurai sword she keeps the zombies away by having two shackled chained zombies of her own around her which also happen to be her boyfriend and sibling who were both bit by zombies. (No word yet on who to play her role) Other Spoilers who have been confirmed on various interviews are that Carl (Lori and Ricks son) will be shot by other survivours they confuse him as a walker. They will travel and find refuge in a farm and will have to adapt to Carl being hurt and Lori being pregnat. Huge spoiler going around on many sites is that Dr. Jennings in the season finale wispered into Rick's ear that his wife Lori is pregnat. If you look closely near the end Dr. Jennings pulls rick and whispers something into his ear. In volume 2 of the comic Lori is pregnat I just cant remember if its Rick or Shane's my guess its Shane's kid. There are many other rumored characters but the only one who has been confirmed is Michonne. One other character who has been talked about heavily and Frank Darabont has said he cant wait to add him is The Governor. He said he wants to add him at one point in season 2. The Governor is a man that when the world died and the walkers took over he took fourty survivours and barricaded himself and declared himself The Governor of the group. He has begun tweeting many pics from the set of season 2 and you can see the new girl character I was talking about at the begining of this thread.
Julie - In the books, Rick never knew if the child was his or Shane's, but he decided to raise it as his own anyways and not really harp on it. MAJOR book spoiler:
I wonder when/if they'll still kill Lori and the baby
Anyone kind of extremely disappointed by this season so far? It seems like filler episode after filler episode with no rewarding climax in any episodes. Screams low budget to me...
Anyone kind of extremely disappointed by this season so far? It seems like filler episode after filler episode with no rewarding climax in any episodes. Screams low budget to me...
Yes! A thousand times yes! We've still been watching, but really, since the very first ep of the season it's been veryyyy slow. Not even a lot of action, and I feel like we're not going anywhere (literally, I mean, the girl is STILL missing, and they are still at the farmer's house?!) Such a difference from season one. We're what, 5 or 6 eps in, and we've hardly even had much zombie action. I really hope that changes soon (seeing all the walkers in trapped in the barn was a little surprising, and intriguing). But I swear, it needs to go somewhere, and soon...
agree with both of yall, the girl missing is pretty annoying. We need more zombie kills, the only thing holding me over is the hot cowgirl.
I LOVED this past episode. Anytime they focus on Daryl and his crossbow  I was dissapointed in the beginning but it's getting good. Shane/Otis debacle was pretty epic. I understand you gotta do what you gotta do,but he could have at least shot the guy in the head so he wouldn't have to suffer.I'm secretly hoping Merle comes back and Shane defects to his side and there is this big blow out between Merle/Shane vs.Rick/Daryl. The kid drama is being drawn out,and I agree there needs to be more zombie action.Oh,and ugh.....Andrea. Other than that I like this season.

Other than that I like this season.
Yeah I was thinking about that...what if Otis comes back as a walker?? That would suck for his family, especially since they seem to have some sort of aversion to actually killing the walkers... And Andrea ****** me off too. I'm sick of her attitude and she's way too trigger-happy. YOU SHOT DARYL BECAUSE YOU DIDN'T LISTEN !!! *******....
I doubt Otis will come back, there is probably nothing left of him,the amount of zombies that were eating him,he is mincemeat. But I thought of that too,and that the family would notice the bullet hole in his leg.....But Dale knows somethings up,can't wait when he calls Shane out next eppy. Don't even get me started on Andrea, you had 4 grown men with weapons going towards him,I think they were more than capable of handling it. Just because she wanted to show her skills she risked the walkers hearing that shot, and injuring Daryl.Ugh,and even if that was a walker she need not to be so happy of the shot, because she would have only grazed it's head.
This upcoming episode is the mid-season finale, meaning they'll leave us with something that makes us want more - show returns February 12, 2012. Walkers in the barn: They're probably going to get out in this next episode and kill Jimmy and Beth, and possibly Patricia. In the comics, Patricia survives for a while but, then again, so does Otis. I'm sure they'll find Sophia in this episode - and for all you naysayers that hate the fact that they've "drawn this out," keep in mind the past six (and soon to be seven) episodes have only taken place over the course of 3-4 days. This show is awesome. It's a character drama set in a zombie apocalypse, so as long as I get one or the other - compelling stories or zombies - I'm good. Besides, they've stated countless times that Hershel's farm is away from society so it's rather safe and zombie-less. Not surprising that they haven't encountered that many walkers since arriving (a few days ago, btw). Andrea ftw.

I just want to say how much I loved Dale this episode! First bringing up Shane to Lori and then saying "No I don't think anyone knows!" LoL and then calling out Shane at the end. I hope this doesn't mean he's not long for this world..I love you Dale!!
So "Pretty Much Dead Already" was "Pretty Much Awesome." I loved it. I was surprised when Sophia walked out of the barn, mainly because she's still alive and kicking in the comics. Then again, both her and Carl are six in the comics. I like that we're seeing Hershel slowly lose his temper with Rick and the Atlanta survivors. Looks like in the preview for "Nebraska" (not airing 'til February D:) Hershel might have a drinking problem. So maybe he'll turn into the angry Hershel from the comics. Who knows? RIP Sophia. You will be missed. The search for you, though, will not.
I just finished this episode and it was insane! I never read the Comics, so Sophia came as a surprise. It's an awesome show.
Didn't see a thread for season 2 besides this one so I'll post it here; but ****'s gettin' real.
Right! I'm so bummed about Dale!! I swear this show has the dumbest kids. First Sofia wanders off and gets eaten because she couldn't listen to Rick and stay put for 5 minutes. Then Carl decides he's got balls and wants to taunt a walker, but doesn't kill it, and tells no one, leading it to come back to their camp! Aaaaaah!!! Stupid people are stupid... I don't know how I feel about the whole Randall thing. I don't think they should kill him in cold blood, but I can understand why they wouldn't feel safe. I honestly just don't know why they even saved him in the first place. Would have saved them a lot of trouble if they had just left him in town.
This was the first episode since the premiere that choked me up. I knew from spoilers that Dale died this episode, but it still packed an emotional punch. Where the HELL is Lori when her stupid kid is out roaming the woods in the middle of a zombie apocalypse? Wasn't she just lecturing Andrea about how she does everything because Andrea is too busy working on a tan and trying to do "men's" work? Isn't part of "women's" work then, in that idiot conniving mind of hers, to watch your ******* kid? Rick obviously can't, because he's doing men's work. Lady MacBeth can't die soon enough for me. (Not a spoiler, just a wish.)
I hate to admit it but this was the first time I've ever agreed with Shane. They should just shoot him. Also, agree with all the hate for Carl. They should just use him as a bat to beat the zombies.
That was a really good episode though it was a little heavy in the character development rather than mix of that and plot. I'm really excited to see how it turns out after tonight's episode. Daryl is by far my favorite character.
Figured I'd give this show a shot since I've heard such good things....and have ended up watching the first two seasons in less than 2 weeks. Darnit - shouldn't have watched it so damn fast. Now I have to wait until the fall for season 3!
This show is so uneven. Yes, the last 5 episodes were amazing, but it needs to be more steady. And the books are better. However, I can't wait to see Michonne and the Governor...
