Transformers: Dark of the Moon
Kind of excited to see this because I saw them filming parts of it in Chicago, but the second one wasn't that good in my opinion so it's probably going to be one of those "wait til it comes out [strike]illegally online[/strike] on DVD" movies.
The Autobots learn of a Cybertronian spacecraft hidden on the Moon, and race against the Decepticons to reach it and learn its secrets, which could turn the tide in the Transformers' final battle.
Release date July 1, 2011 in IMAX 3D. YouTube - Transformers 3 Dark of the Moon Trailer - Official (HD)
The 2nd one didn't live up to expectations IMO, so this one needs to be good.
I'm not too excited about this. The second was, I agree, a huge letdown and this trailer wasn't anything special. I guess I'll have to wait until closer to the time it comes out to decide if I'm going to see this one.
It's going to be real sad not seeing Megan Fox in the third Transformers movie, she was the main reason I saw Transformers in the first place. T_T

I didn't watch it for her, but I really liked her in the movie, so I think it's gonna be a letdown. Plus I hate when they replace people in movies....

I'm definitely looking forward to this one, as it looks better than the 2nd one. The Revenge of the Fallen didn't thrill me too much.
I will say, I did see part of the filming downtown and it looked pretty cool. Hopefully that translates to the screen.
I just got back from the midnight showing and it is one of the best action movies I have EVER seen. ..but its about 3 hours long. :/ Team Bubble Bee!

I go to school in Chicago, and it was really cool seeing all the cars and set and everything. I saw the midnight showing of the movie. I was in awe on how they translated it to the screen. All the destruction and action was intense! I don't care what Roper says! It was definitely the best of the three.

Ever since he lost his bottom jaw, he's had nothing good to say about anything or anyone. I can't stand movie critics. They act like they're too smart for everybody and can do better than everybody so they negatively criticise everything. "Visually ugly film"?! Ummm, this is right now, the best film visually. Michael Bay and his crew had to actually CREATE new technology for some of the shots!
exactly! i don't know many people who actually listen to rotten tomatoes.. even though it was about 3 full hours, it was still really good.
It's actually just around 2 1/2 hours. It didn't feel that long to me. It left me wanting more!
Oh god, Roger Ebert is just a grumpy old gus. Classless old man, can't stand the guy
Is that really saying much? ;)
You watch your mouth! ;-) As you can see from my user handle, I am a huge Transformers fanatic. You can just imagine my heartbreak whenSentinel kills my hero, Ironhide. :weep: From the point-of-view of simply movie quality, Transformers 3 is f'ing amazing. Seeing it in 3D made it more than a movie. It made it an experience. I normally get up to use the bathroom or get water during a movie, but I was glued to my seat the entire 157 minutes. The transformers even ACT as if they're real--body movements, facial expressions, interactions, etc. My only real disappointment was Shockwave's very little screen time. :dash1:

No Bacchus, my dislike for the guy comes from the comments he made about Ryan Dunn's death. Just completely unnecessary, especially in a time of mourning. His movie critiques just **** me off even more.
I think the only plus about this movie is that Megan Fox isn't in it.

The problem with movie critics is that they have jobs. Overpaid snotrags who are too lazy to do anything real productive. Yeah, it must be very difficult to sit on one's *** behind a computer and constantly bash people like Michael Bay, who work their ***** off making groundbreaking films. Making movies isn't easy. Even low-budget movies take a lot of work to make. These movie critics will never even have the dignity to unstick themselves out of their chairs and actually create something. Oh wait, even if they do get their ***** up, they don't even have the talent or brains to do what filmmakers do.

Yeah I am going to see this later. I just hope its better than part 2.
It's interesting reading the TF3 reviews - either it's an amazing 3D experience...something beyond a typical movie, or it's 3 of the worst hours of the reviewers life, leaving them nauseated with a migraine. Looking forward to it - I like pretty graphics.

Just to balance out some of the negatives in this thread with positives, because I'm more of an optimistic person: Transformers: Dark of the Moon ? the saviour of 3D? | Film | guardian.co.uk REVIEW: 3D spectacle saves 'Transformers' from junk heap Movie Reviews: Transformers: Dark of the Moon, The Conspirator, Larry Crowne - Film - Birmingham Culture - Life & Leisure - Birmingham Post I personally watch this movie, because I want to see robots totally destroy each other. I really don't understand how anyone goes to a movie based on an 80's cartoon show, and it involves alien robots that talk and fight, seriously. I'm not going to watch this movie, because I want to see something with a plot, a life changing story, or something with meaning or depth. I'm going to watch this movie to see things blow up, and robots kill each other! Everyone I know said the 3D is AMAZING! I can't wait to witness it tomorrow! BTW I'm an optimistic person, that likes to see CGI robots cause harm upon each other.
I just got back from seeing this and thought I'd throw in some comments: - First of all, I REALLY enjoyed this movie! I feel like it was the best out of the three movies. - I'm by no means a fan of Megan Fox, but this new chick didn't do anything for me. I didn't feel like she was very talented and she was hard to understand at times. I was glad they brought in a new girlfriend though. Fox was getting irritating. - The scene on the highway was by far my favorite scene. Absolutely incredible!
