SYRUS INTERVIEW --
1) How has MTV affected your life?
- MTV has been really good 2 me. its given me the opportunity 2 follow every dream that i have ever had. of course hard work goes along with it. back when my show started there werent many others out there ....so alot of my life experiences were magnified , if ya know what i mean!
2) Of all the MTV shows you've been on, what has been your favorite?
- My favorite show that i have done 2 date has to be the real world boston. it was the craziest 6 months of my life. every sense that we possess as human beings was tested. then u had 2 look yourself in the mirror and judge yourself! very humbling experience.
3) Are you at a point in life that you wanted to be at a few years ago?
- I set goals for myself and just work towards completing them. i dont regret anything that i have ever done....i just look at situations like they r speed bumps....it may slow me down but i gotta keep working. and yes i am exactly where i wanna be 2day
4) Did you always want to be on TV?
- I've been on tv scince i was a kid. several commercials , and a few bit pieces here and there. being from LA most of us grow up with the acting bug so its really not a big deal.
5) What's your style like?
- Whats my style like......hhhmmmm well i have been designing clothes for a few years now. Check out beverlyhillspimpsandhos.com and royaltyfame.com. i have a few new companies brewing rite now. stay tuned. oh my style. I have kinda a "RockStar" style with Biker under tones with Hip Hop Swagg!!!! I usually keep my dressing simple. i call it my uniform. Black T with thurmal, jeans, black shoes, and black belt! sumtimes a black hat 2 match. so shoes match the belt and i rock my Bandana in my left pocket which must match the shoes and belt! oh i keep it this way for a few reasons 1....i travel alot for work hosting partys and lecuring at colleges and i dont iron:) and i sweat so dam much that black usually hides it. When i at home i take more chances and a bit more colors are experimented wit. But i always keep an extra shirt with me in my car, just incase i get "Pit-Action" one of my worse fears is to have my picture taken with some1 and have them mention my sweat or think that i stink...lol! im serious!
6) What kind of music do you like?
- I am really in 2 Reggae music. not in the trendy way but an actual student of the game. I am the spokes person for Reggae Nation and have been with them for about 10 years. I have hosted huge concerts and interviewed some of the biggest artist! From Shaggy ,Buju Banton,The Marleys, Shabba Ranks, Akon, Yellowman, Black Uruhu, and the list goes on! But im obviously a huge Rap guy! i love live music too and can be found at any type of live show. I can be found at a Mega Death Pit, At a Alice in Chains show, A reggae sop or a hip hop show. i just love these two acts called" The House of Vibe" and The "Toledo Show" They both gig weekly at Harvelles in Santa Monica, Ca. HOT!!!
7) Are you close with anyone from the shows?
- I still speak to Jason he lives a few miles away and we both work in casting for reality tv. Sean every now and again. Elka lives in Santa Monica too. I keep in touch with Nemia [nehemiah] from The Austin Show. we go out all of the time and he's a real friend thats been to my house! Tec is my man too we talk like once a month! Tonya, Derrick and i talk 2 alot too. My girl Beth is married with a new baby! we talk all of the time.
8) Do you regret anything?
- No regrets,,,just speed bumps
9) Do you have any secrets you can let us in on?
- I can only tell you that Reality TV.....Aint what it used to be! Scripted Reality to me sucks but thats what the kids like. we were never told what to do or retake that shot!
10) Are you single? If no, who are you with?
- I am not single.....My girls name is Kristin! I worship her!
11) Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
- In 5 years I see myself married, living in LA with a kid and owning a nightclub.
12) What would you like to say to your fans?
- I would like to tell my fans thank you for all the support over the years, you can catch me on the next Challenge this time going all the way!
