The survivors compete in a challenge where they have to be blindfolded. Another castaway is voted out of the game. Sorry the I posted this thread so late guys. I went out and didn't get back till now.
Sorry the I posted this thread so late guys. I went out and didn't get back till now.
That's ok, it kept me from looking at who got voted out :)
Coach is such a ****** but them shutting down his out of control ego made me laugh. I hope he sticks around for a little while just so he can have more of those humbling (combined with delusion) moments. I'm liking Taj and Brendan, they seem like very good players.

I'm liking Taj and Brendan, they seem like very good players.
I am not liking Coach either! What has he really done to prove to that he is a good leader? "On the truck, I looked at everyone with my EYES and I told them with my EYES what they need to get!" Ummmmm, what? Why didn't you step up in the challenge then and be the leader? Take the reigns that you want so badly. And he is totally passive aggressive. I am too, something I need to work on, but going on that whole speech about being a assistant coach or something (I don't really know what he was talking about, he lost me at coach) just made him look delusional like you said. I hope this doesn't turn into the Coach and Assistant Coach show...
Oh boo. I was really hoping for blindside central. Although, sad to say, I think Jerry weak is slightly stronger than a healthy Erinn. I don't think it looked good for Timbira either way. I still see them losing a couple more challenges. I like Tyson, and I really like Brendan. I bet they could get a strong 5 with Stephen, Taj, JT, Brendan, and Sierra. I was really hoping to like Coach...and I still kind of do. But it decreases a liiiiiiittle bit each week. And his Erinn impression was pretty funny. tatertots, what he meant when he was talking about the coach/assistant coach thing is that a head coach always goes to his assistant coach before making any crazy decisions. I think that's his way of saying he's got a small alliance going with Tyson when it comes to making boot decisions, but that, as head coach, he still makes the final decision, which is why he went into the whole discussion as to who's the leader at tribal council. I understood it perfectly.

His Erinn look was pretty funny, and how he said that he had been practicing it, haha.
ASSISTANT COACH hahahahah hilarious! Poor Jerry! I liked him, but his body was shutting down...he was the right choice.
ASSISTANT COACH hahahahah hilarious! Poor Jerry! I liked him, but his body was shutting down...he was the right choice.
In a recent interview, "Coach" revealed that he lied to his assistant soccer coaches and boasted how good he was at manipulating them.

A weak Jerry would be much stronger than either of those girls who are pretty much worthless. Plus, he had a great laugh. As for Coach, I think I am have moved to the dark side because I actually enjoy his delusional rants. He is living in a fantasy world and it is hilarious. Normally I don't pull for "bad people" but this season might be different. He is clearly set to be the "star" of the season in one light or another. Note: Was anyone as disturbed as I was when Sandy said she felt like a sex kitten in the morning? I immediately thought of that scene in Van Wilder in the office (if you have seen it you know what I am talking about, lol.)
It kind of annoys me how Coach acts like everything he is doing is right and morally correct for the tribe, like how he exaggerates on Erinn's facial expression when talking about Jerry being ill, like he's (Coach) being the good martyr. Granted, I'm not a big fan of Erinn myself but I believe Coach is a million times the snake than Erinn would ever be. I also read his "survival of the fittest" facade as very chauvinistic rather than strategic by the actions he's displayed these past two episodes.

He seemed like a loyal guy who would be a strong competitor, especially if he was healthy. I was disturbed too! Although she did have sex kitten hair, but when she swung it around, that was a bit too much! Haha.

Tribal Council Voting YouTube - Survivor: Tocantins - Tribal Council Voting
I used to always be the person who would try to figure out who voted for who by their handwriting...I need to remember that Brendan has neater writing than half of the girls :)
Brendan lies about Exile Island. YouTube - Survivor: Tocantins - Brendan Lies About Exile
Interesting...although if his plan falls through and someone else gets sent to Exile that's not in his alliance, he'd be ****** himself over because they'd know he was lying after they read the clues (unless they're an idiot) and that he probably has the idol. I also wonder if he's going to try and tell Taj where the idol is on her camp, or maybe wait for a tribe switch and pull a James and have both of them!
Phoenix, I'm not sure if you've been to CBS' site, or if they put all of their clips on YouTube, but they have a ton. I found this one particularly interesting, creepy, and hilarious all at the same time. Phe is pretty much the man :)
Thanks guys! :D And Yes, I am a he. ;) I don't think I gave my opinion about this episode yet, so here it goes. Timbira done horrible on the blindfold challenge! Jalapao blew them away! But I don't think Timbira is out of this yet. They almost beat Jalapoa in the immunity challenge. (I am just hoping it's not another Gabon!) Brendan is slowly starting to become my favorite. I think the Exile Alliance is a great idea.... as long as they can keep it hidden. I don't know if they should tell Stephen about the alliance or not... He might go back and tell JT. I am very glad that Brendan found the immunity idol. I wonder if he will tell Taj when they go back to Exile Island??? I was bummed that Jerry got sick and was voted out. He seemed like a really likeable character on the show... unlike Erinn. Lol. :D

They could still be a strong fivesome (and with most merges happening with around 9-10 left, could be an advantage).
I don't know if they should tell Stephen about the alliance or not... He might go back and tell JT.
There was something in the commercial that aired on CBS last night which made me think he did tell JT but that JT wasn't mad about it, just trying to get himself on the inside of that alliance
Jeff Probst blogs about Episode 3
Jeff gets talking about last night's ousted contestant right away, so click after the jump if you're not worried about spoilers. Ah, poor Jerry. We all had such high hopes for him. This is an example of just bad luck. Jerry was a trooper and I think would have probably done a pretty good job of just hanging out in the middle of the pack allowing him to get deep in the game. Not sure if Jerry had enough killer instinct to win but would have loved to have seen him last a bit longer 'cause he was a good one. The only person happy that Jerry is gone...? Erinn. She was very close to going home. Erinn needs to continue to recover or her name will come up again and again. What can you say about the reward challenge other than this...blindfolds always work. In the bedroom and on Survivor. They always come through. So long as it’s consensual, blindfolds typically equal good times. Show of hands, how many people have used blindfolds at some point in their life? And...? Good results? (Right about now is the time a third of you will begin to write your comments to me complaining that I am too provocative. Save the carpal tunnel, it only encourages me.) The reward challenge was a blow out. Not sure why I enjoyed seeing Timbira lose, but I did. They were so cocky, and Jalapao just came in and got it done. They’re the underdogs at this point and I always secretly root for the underdogs. But as we Survivor fans know... underdogs can quickly become cocky and then they become villains and then you root against them! As evidence of how bad the crew living conditions were in Brazil, even I got envious at the Jalapao reward. Umbrella, chairs, hammock! I would have loved to have a large umbrella outside my little four-walled tent. I often feel that way about the food rewards, too. When the Survivors win something like cheeseburgers, trust me the entire crew is salivating. We don’t get cheeseburgers on location. We don’t get big thick pizzas or large chocolate cakes either. We do get beer. Thank goodness our crew loves their beer. It’s the only thing that keeps most of us from ending up in an insane asylum. Most of us. This week's observation about Sierra: Sierra is like an annoying little sister that you constantly complain about but secretly love having around because there is just something about her you’d miss if she was gone. Timbira will miss Sierra if they get rid of her. She’s worth keeping even though she is annoying. Imagine living with Sierra. Oy vey. Okay time for a moment: Ext. Brazilian River - Day Coach stares into the water...contemplating. Tyson spits something, maybe a seed. It makes a small splash. Coach mumbles something insightful. It’s not a question. It’s a command. He’s Coach after all. Then... Coach (to Tyson): You’re like my assistant coach. “You’re like my assistant coach.” Ah, thank you, reality gods. Beautiful. One of my favorite moments of the season. Coach laid out the perfect spiral pass and Tyson gently cradled it into his arms. For very different reasons, both these guys are solid gold. Coach is without question one of the greatest Survivor characters ever. What’s your take on Coach? Love him? Love to hate him? Or just plain hate him? For the record Serena’s advice to Coach, “Just relax. Stop trying so hard. Just be yourself.” To which I reply, “He IS being himself! That’s what makes him so brilliant! And then as if that wasn’t enough, another moment so good it’s as though it was scripted: Ext. Jalapao Camp – Day Spencer, young and single, lies on his side trying to sleep. Sandy, considerably older and also single, snuggles up next to him. Uncomfortably close. Hands searching. Surprisingly Spencer doesn’t seem to mind. Sandy musses her hair with a sexy toss of the hand. Sandy: I know I’m a sex kitten. Whoa. That made me incredibly uncomfortable. I had to stop the TIVO and rewind it. No offense, Sandy, (although as my friend Lopez says, whenever you say that, you actually mean the opposite) but that was just plain uncomfortable and in some states probably illegal. Is Spencer even 18 years old? J.T. and Steven fishing together. It’s a bit like A River Runs Through It. Nice. I like it. But is it just me or do you get the idea that J.T. is the kind of guy who if you so much as looked at his girlfriend in a bar, he’d break your nose and then finish your beer. He seems very pleasant but I’m guessing that he’s broken a few noses. And finally, the quote of the day: Tyson: I love seeing people cry when you crush their dreams. See ya next week!
[via ew.com]
Thanks Phoenix! Some times I really like Jeff. Other times he's just creepy. At least they have beer! But I don't know how I would feel about working hungover in 120 degree heat...sometimes I can barely do it in 60!!
Jeff is so incredibly wrong about coach, but he can't see it because he has his own personal blinders. For as good as Jeff may be as a host, his ego is larger than life in the real world. He's had good lessons in humility from the PR people, but when you see him during a finale when the cameras aren't on him, he's not so nice, and he has a PHD in "vindictive." No surprise that Julie Berry had enough and moved on...
