Yeah, supposedly, once you quit, you don't get asked back. Probst said that of Johnny Fairplay on why he didn't get asked back for Heroes vs. Villains.
This is a good event, but I have to say that Jeff is the reason these tasks are so successful in presentation. His narrative really drives the story and is what is missing in most other reality shows cut from the same cloth.
Yeah man, totally. Probst is a star.
This episode was RIDONKULOUS! I know I said some questionable things about Laurel in the Challenges threads and took some flack for it, but **** it man, Naonka is disgusting. She knew she was quitting and wouldn't let Holly keep the reward? Only miserable, terrible, disgusting human beings do that. I think she is #1 on my Most Hated Survivors list. At least Russell was fun to hate on, and at least he respected the game.
As for Kelly Purple - she was worthless since Day 1. Although I do like this season generally (Go Holly and Jane! Bring it home!), they def could've made better casting choices. It's a shame Jill went out so early.
Disgusting. What's really sick is that Brenda, Marty and Alina, would die to be back in the game, and in the blink of an eye 2 people gave up. They quit. It's mind boggling. This just adds negative points to an already terrible season. They should have brought Brenda and Marty back and had a double elimination the next week.
You can not like a show because it's boring, but once you lose respect for the actual people they pick to be on the show then it becomes a different story. Survivor 21 = F.

I'd rate this season in the middle. It's not the best...but its FAR better than Marquesas, Thailand, and a couple other stinkers.
That was just straight up bull****. You have ELEVEN days left. Why quit now? I'm just baffled. Dan can barely walk and he's still staying out there and weathering it, but NaOnka and Purple Kelly couldn't handle a few rainy nights?
As much as I hate that they're on the jury, I realize that it makes sense. No matter what, those who leave the game in one way or another after the merge are supposed to be on the jury. A jury with two less people would be a big blow, I think.
I'm looking forward to reading Jeff's blog for this week. It'll probably shed some more light on the situation. Ponderosa should have some good stuff in it too. I can't imagine Nay and PK getting any kind of warm welcome after this stunt.
I like Marquesas. I will tie it with Thailand... for the worst season yet.
Absolutely ridiculous. NaOnka gave up any chance of being asked back for a future All Stars season by quitting. Kelly wouldn't have been asked back regardless because she proved to be worthless from the first day.
Neither one of them should be allowed to be on the jury.

That's a good thing, right? :D
Na Onka's quit was about as bad as Osten's during PI, in my opinion. Both absolutely pathetic.
Neither one of them should be allowed to be on the jury.
Agreed, unfortunately Jeff said something about how they allowed Janu to be on the jury for Palau, so they had to do the same for these two losers. Too bad.
I still can't get over what happened. In the Ponderosa videos, Alina is shown crying, again, back at Ponderosa. I respect that man. She really wanted to be there - I have no idea why she got a bad rep with the cast. She was always on the outside for seemingly no reason.

Ha, yeah I'm not complaining that NaOnka won't be asked back now. With that said, has anyone else noticed that this is the first season in awhile that has had a lot of decent female characters? Holly, Jane, and Brenda have all been somewhat entertaining and I could see be asked back for future All-Stars seasons.
With the Janu thing in Palau, I think the only reason they allowed her to be on the jury is because she wouldn't have quit otherwise. They didn't want Stephenie to go home so early.

Yeah this season does have a great group of female characters, but they haven't really done much in terms of game, in my opinion. I think the last season to have great female characters that actually made it really far was Micronesia (Fans vs. Favorites) with Parvati's "Black Widow Brigade."
Both girls shouldn't be on the jury or be asked to go to the reunion. It's pathetic. Nay was all bark no bite.
And if I remember correctly didn't people actually write down Janu's name to be voted off, so officially she got voted off even she was going to quit. I liked Janu.
Has anyone noticed that Jane has lost a lot of steam, during group missions? She couldn't keep up on 2, but when it comes to reward challenges, she's pretty **** good.
And if I remember correctly didn't people actually write down Janu's name to be voted off, so officially she got voted off even she was going to quit. I liked Janu.
No. At first Janu asked that they vote her out, but once Jeff asked her what the difference was between asking them to vote her out and quitting she said there wouldn't be one, so she offered to lay down her torch. There was no vote.

Yeah, but the thing with that was the good strategists out of that alliance had already been on the show before (Amanda, Cirie, Parvati). I guess Natalie was okay.
But I think Brenda, Holly, and Jane would be the females asked back from this season for a future All-Stars season. For the guys, it'd be Fabio, Marty, and possibly Sash if he stays till the end.

Brenda, Holly and Jane would definitely be considered for an All-Stars season. I don't see any of the guys, except for maybe Marty, asked back. Possibly Sash if he does make it to the end. But honestly without Brenda he kind of sucks. She was really pulling the strings.
I want Dan to be asked back. He is an All Star. I would love it if he wins.

I want to ask you if you're being serious, but I have a feeling you are ;) Seriously though?? Dan is probably the worst competitor Survivor has ever had. I'm sure they could ask back all the old folks, including Rudy, who I'm sure is way older and they all would still kick his ***. I would completely be disappointed if he even makes the finals.

LOL WUT? I have to agree with fabulous on this one. Dan hasn't done anything. There is absolutely NO way he would win in the finals. He's probably the only person NaOnka could have beat when she was there.
I'm not real sure what my feelings are on this season. I'm back and forth on whether I like it or not. I like that the people from the outside alliance haven't just been picked off one after another. I guess I don't like that this was a 20 person season and I feel like it's been airing for an eternity.
