She attended the Winthrop Gymnastics Academy, Massachusetts, where she competed for eight years and won many awards. At Lynnfield High School, she played varsity soccer, basketball and track. An athlete and fierce competitor, DiLorenzo set high school state records in track and was captain of both her track and soccer teams. At 16, DiLorenzo was selected to represent the United States at the World Gothia Cup and traveled to Germany, Sweden and Austria. Additionally, she worked with the Ford Modeling Agency, participating in fashion shows in the Boston area. DiLorenzo was then recruited to play Division One soccer at Quinnipiac University, where she studied marketing. Unfortunately, a knee injury during pre-season kept her from playing her first year. She decided to transfer to Northeastern University, where she eventually earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business with a concentration in both finance and marketing. After graduation, DiLorenzo moved to Florida. Her proudest accomplishment to date is the purchase of her first home in Boca Raton, Florida. DiLorenzo's regular workout routine includes kickboxing and soccer. Her favorite hobbies include dancing, traveling and listening to all kinds of music. She describes herself as driven, intelligent, vivacious, strong-minded, athletic, genuine and good-hearted. She never shies away from a discussion on the New England Patriots or the Boston Red Sox. Her hero is her grandfather, because he always enjoyed discovering new things. He was a politician, a schoolteacher for children with special needs, a loving father and husband and an awesome grandfather. We last saw Danielle on Survivor: Panama, where she made it to the final two. Danielle lost, but two people voted for her to win. Does Danielle have what it takes to make it to the finals again?

She actually made the final 2 in Panama :)
I know a lot of people don't think Danielle deserves to be on this season, but I think she's very underrated.
Quite simply, she is humorless and has no personality. Nothing she did was remotely interesting. Her gameplay skills, while they may have taken her to the final 2, are nothing out of the ordinary that would warrant an All Stars appearance. If I were in charge of the casting for this season, I wouldn't have even called her for an interview.
Seriously, I can't remember this person at all. Wasn't there anyone else they could have called. Side note I was wondering why Matt from the Amazon didn't get cast for this season, he would have been pretty entertaining.

Well they had Natalie (Micronesia) at location in case Courtney didnt pass the health screening, I wish they just would have included her rather than Danielle.
I've posted this in the generic thread numerous times, but Danielle was only asked because Courtney from EI declined.
How do you know that? Not saying you're wrong, but just curious. I never really saw Courtney's or Danielle's names come up in the summer while they were casting. And with 19 seasons of the show, I don't know why they would need to replace one person with someone from their own cast when there are plenty more interesting villain women.

I remember Sonja who was voted off the first season more than I do Danielle. All I remeber about her is she threatend Aras if he didn't take her she would make sure he lost.

I have no clue who she is??? I remember Aras, but it's sad when a fan of the show, can't remember someone who made it as far as she did.
LOL, AOL has the name, age, season, and memorable moment of all the contestants this season and this was Danielle's defining moment "Danielle's key moment came when she beat Cirie in a fire-making challenge to earn her spot in the final three." Thay hardely seems deserving to be an All Star to me.
I seriously have no idea why Danielle was even considered a REPLACEMENT to anyone who declined. They should just scrap her and Put Natalie (Micronesia) on there.
This season in theory is great but they restricted themselves because their really wasn't enough female villans to make a season.
Natalie (FvF), Corrine, Laura, Sherea, Katie, Ami, Eliza, Twilia, Heidi, Tammy are all better choices in my opinion for a female villian. And I'm sure one of those would have accepted.
I'm also confused as to why Danielle is on it as a villian LOL. but i think it will be interesting to see her play again.
I'm also confused as to why Danielle is on it as a villian LOL. but i think it will be interesting to see her play again.
You're wondering why she's a villain? I'm wondering why she's on the show at all. I think from the villain aspect they were content from having THE #1 OG female villain in Jerri already, so any others would just be icing on the cake. Corinne was Jerri 2.0 (and a bad one at that). Laura wasn't so much a villain as she was just on the opposing side to Russell (which technically could be considered a hero). Natalie wasn't a villain until Jason's exit. Katie was only considered a villain because Ian and Tom were so hero-ish. Heidi was hardly a villain. After thinking about it, I think the best option would have actually been Twila. Either way, not a good choice especially compared to the other villain women. Then again, we never know the full list of who was asked. Perhaps she was on the bottom of the totem pole and everyone above her just declined. You have to guess that probably half of the people they asked declined.
Tammy from Marquesas, would have been a great choice. She wasn't so much of a villian per say, but I loved how she played the game during her season and always wanted her to come back. Corrine would have made a good villain choice. Ami wasn't so much of a villian people thought she was sneaky, but everyone also said she was very sweet, and people just thought Eliza was annoying, she neither was a villian, although both would have been better choices! I am sure a lot of people turned down the invitation to come back!
It's been a while since I've seen her season, but all I remember is that she is not all-star worthy. -She paled in comparison to Terry and Aras in the challenges. -She only won the final immunity challenge because Aras jumped off after she gave her word to him. -She only got a jury vote from Shane because he had them pick a number between one and a million. I think in all 19 seasons she is one of the only finalists who I don't think would've won no matter who she took to the finals. In fact, thinking about her season, I remembered Aras, Terry, Courtney, Shane, Austin, Cirie, and Bruce before I remembered who the hell Danielle was. I even remembered the lady that got voted off first before I remembered Danielle.
I wasn't saying any of those people were great choices for a villians just a better choice than Danielle. I must admit though, I'm kind of excited to see her just because she was so forgettable...
Why didn't they just pick the best villans and the best heroes regardless of race?
Why didn't they just pick the best villans and the best heroes regardless of race?
I don't think race had anything to do with it...
Why didn't they just pick the best villans and the best heroes regardless of race?
They probably did have a perfect cast list in mind. Keep in mind that a lot of the people they probably wanted to come back declined. It's been what, ten years since the first season? I'm sure they've all moved on which explains the absence of Borneo contestants.
Yeah! Sorry about that statement. I meant to put down gender. Personnally I think they should have just choosen the best ten villans and the best ten heroes.

I'm pretty sure Gervase was willing to as well as Jenna. I'd think they'd have more older castaways to bring back older viewers.
I was disapointed Aras wasn't brought back he was a great winner. Though it would be tough to call him a hero or a villan.
I found Aras to be insanely boring, I would have liked to seen Austin again from that season I liked him a lot. I also think Judd would have been a good villian also. I went from being pissed Danielle was on this season to being intrigued. Maybe she'll team with Parv and then I'll love her.
Funny thing is, for the most unkown/forgetable survivor contestant this season, she has the most pages out of the entire cast... albeit most are saying, who is she? but still the most regardless... Basically she is like a new player... I honestly still don't remember her, and I am too lazy to try and look videos of her up on sites!
Since a lot of you don't remember much about her, I'll try and jog your memory a bit. She was originally on the younger women tribe at the start of the Panama season. She was chosen to be the one to compete in the first challenge for her tribe, and ended up coming in last. Her tribe had to pick one person to go to Exile Island, Danielle offered, but the other girls told her no since she volunteered to compete. In the second episode, they merged to two tribes and Danielle was apart of the Casaya tribe. Her and Shane got into a lot of fights because Danielle was lazy. At the merge, Casaya took control but couldn't stand each other. Despite that, they stuck together but Terry kept winning immunity and eventually they had to turn and vote one of their own off. Cirie, Aras, and Danielle voted Courtney out. At the loved ones challenge, Terry won and got to decide which two castaways got to go out with their loved ones, which castaway got to take their loved one back to the island, and which contestant got to give their loved one a hug. The one leftover didn't get to hug their loved one at all and had to go to Exile... that ended up being Danielle. She beat Cirie in the fire making tiebreaker to move on to the final three giving her and Terry the advantage.
