Summer Movies 2009
There are some great new movies coming out this summer! So far there are 2 that I am looking forward to. I am sure there is more, I will add them as they come along. The first one being Transformers2:Revenge of the Fallen. A new trailer was released yesterday revealing more of the storyline, and it looks like a good one. With all the main players from the first movie returning this promises to be a big hit. Shia LeBouf is a great actor, he really delivers a great performance. Transformers 2:Revenge of the Fallen trailer The second movie coming out I can't wait to see is GI Joe: Rise of the Cobra, I had no idea this movie was even in the making, and when I saw the trailer I was so excited. Channing Tatum and Dennis Quaid, along with Sienna Miller and Marlon Wayans. Sounds like quite the cast, and they are saying the will stick to it's comic book roots. GI Joe: Rise of the Cobra trailer is there anything else out there that looks good, I want to know.
Final Destination Death Trip 3D
Final Destination Death Trip 3D
IDK, about this one, the first final destination was good. But with every sequel they get cheesier and cheesier. Final Destination is like the American Pie of thriller movies. They should have stopped while they were ahead.
I disagree. I LOVE THEM.
I disagree. I LOVE THEM.
I am not fan of scary movies at all! I have bad nightmares, and they just add to them. If this gives you any clue, I could not even watch the movie "Little Monsters" as kid, it totally freaked me out.
I am excited for: Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince This movie needs to come out already! I need my HP fix! Terminator Salvation This is probably the summer action movie I am most excited for, hopefully it lives up to the hype. Bruno The trailer makes me laugh every time. Sascha Baron Cohen humor may not be everyones taste but I like his stuff a lot. Funny People I have been a HUGE fan of the Judd Apatow crew ever since he teamed up with Paul Feig and brought me the wonderment that is Freaks and Geeks. Rudo y Cursi Love me some Diego Luna and Gael Garcia Bernal ;) Also check out this music video they made for the movie: YouTube - Gael Garcia Bernal - Quiero Que Me Quieras there are others that I am sure I will think of later...
Harry Potter July 15th!
I am not fan of scary movies at all! I have bad nightmares, and they just add to them. If this gives you any clue, I could not even watch the movie "Little Monsters" as kid, it totally freaked me out.
I LOVE scary movies, but I usually have to be in the mood. Whenever I go back home I try and meet up with two of my friends to have a Scary Movie Night, a little tradition we started to make sure we get to see each other at least once in a while! If anyone wants a good cheesy scary movie check out "Boogeyman" with Barry Watson from 7th Heaven. The ending was AWESOME! haha.

I do like the SAW movies though. They have actual intellect involved.
Harry Potter July 15th!
I am SOOO excited! I was one of the HP boycotters for a while because I didn't get all the hype. I saw the movies and got into it around Azkaban, but I didn't read any of the books until after I saw Order of the Pheonix. I didn't want the whole plot/ending ruined for me so I had to catch up on the whole series in like a month! But I did it and now I am hooked, not fanatical, but defintiely hooked. :) I am still pissed that they pushed the movie back to this summer, grrrrr

Bruno looks so funny!

I saw Star Trek and I thought that was good. Good coming from me though, who had never seen any of the originals.
I saw Star Trek and I thought that was good.
Yeah, I'm not at a Twilight fanatical level either.
I am not even at a Twilight like level yet. I haven't read the books, but if the dialogue in the movie is anywhere near the dialogue in the books, I don't think I could take it. The movie is more of a guilty pleasure between my roommate and I as we quote some of the awfully bad lines to each other. Sorry to all those Twilight lovers, but I just don't get it.
It wouldn't be "Twilight fanatical"...it would be "Harry Potter fanatical." I get that you guys don't like Twilight and think it is a joke but it has nothing to do with Harry Potter...there are kids that are just as fanatical about Harry Potter as there are Twilight. I happen to love both and have no shame about it. I was resistent to Harry Potter when they first blew up but the I gave them a chance and ended up loving them, same with Twilight. It just bothers me how some people want to talk **** and put down Twilight when they don't want to read it beacuse they don't want to "be like everyone else" or they don't want to get caught up in the hype...and that is fine it is your choice, but for you guys to use Twilight like it is derogatory is getting ridiculous. /end rant
Star Trek was great, I'm a bit of a trekkie and I had major reservations about it but they did a really good job, they definitely put some stuff in there for the fans but it was still accessible for people who aren't into it. I saw it at the IMAX, it's the only way to see it for sure. Haven't heard about Rudo y Cursi but I'll have to check it out, love Bernal (fantastic actor) and really liked them both in y tu mama tambien. I'm excited to see: Year One - Jack Black, Michael Cera, McLovin = sold Public Enemies (Christian Bale, Johnny Depp and Channing Tatum in one movie PLUS as an American History major in college and midwesterner, the premise has me geeked up) Bruno - I don't know about this one but I love Sasha Cohen so I'm willing to give it a try Inglourious *********] - Anything Tarantino puts out, I'm going to see no questions asked, Daniel Bruhl is pretty cool too

I can't wait to see Star Trek...But I just haven't had time...my hubbie saw it on the internet the other day and he said it was really good. Inglorious ********...I am right there with you BS...I freaking love Tarantino so anything he puts out I am all over, LOL. A few others I am excited for: GI Joe Terminator Harry Potter!! Bruno (I have never seen Borat though so maybe I should watch it soon to see if I like it...I just live SBC though. Every since Ali G. LOL.

I guess I just like my vampires to be like Dracula or Interview with the Vampire and non-sparkling so it is hard for me to get over those changes she made. Sorry SD, I'll leave the Twilight lovers alone. Back to summer movies.... I am kind of excited for Year One too. I haven't seen any previews yet so I don't know how well those two guys are going to work together or what the movie is really about, but I love me some Michael Cera so I will definitely be checking it out!

I saw a preview for Year One before Star Trek and it looks HILARIOUS!! I think I love Michael Cera. :D

I have a DVD collection and just recently popped in Boogeyman. I love scary movies! First off I must admit I am a movie Junkie! I just saw Star Trek. I have never seen an episode or the movies before. I had no interest. I am sure if you watched Star Trek you would love the movie. I am not really into Sci-fi. I didn't even want to see it, but I enjoyed myself. It was a well done movie. I am going to an advance screening of Drag me to Hell tonight- which I really want to see Also on my summer list is: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Year One The Proposal My Sister's Keeper Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince Orphan Funny People

I definitely hear more about the Twilight fans than HP, but maybe that's just because it's the more recent release. I'm sorry SD.

I am neither... It just gets old. But I am not mad at you or anyone else here, just asking that you respect me enough to not bash twilight fans on this board. I get enough ish from B to last a lifetime :D

I would have forgotten about this one if not for V1man reference in another thread, thanks as always V!!! Sherlock Holmes starring Robert Downey Jr.,Jude Law, and Rachel McAdams directed by Guy Ritchie. I cannot wait for this one either, I love Rachel McAdams and Robert Downey Jr. and have always loved Sherlock Holmes. The trailer is very good, I really like Guy Ritchie's fight scenes.
