Has anybody been following Major League Soccer after FIFA 2010? I'm a huge soccer fan now, and I'm starting to enjoy it more than baseball suprisngly!

Was watching LA Galaxy vs San Jose. What a game! I'm a New Yorker so I'm automatically want Red Bulls to win every game, but I'm also a huge Landon Donovan fan. He always has what I like to call "The Svetlana Moment" lol.
I love MLS after the FIFA World Cup! I am now hooked!
I love MLS after the FIFA World Cup! I am now hooked!
lol THANK YOU! I was starting to believe I was the only fan in this whole website! What team are you rooting for? The great thing is that we are in pre-season. So the actual games haven't started yet.
Landon Donovan & the L.A. Galaxy! How about you?
Landon Donovan & the L.A. Galaxy! How about you?
New York Red Bulls! LOL I'm excited now we got Thierry Henry, but my favorite player is of course Landon Donovan. He scored yesterday once again in the 90th minute lol. He always have that amazing last minute moments. I'm a huge fan because of him. If the Red Bulls don't win, I'm rooting for LA Galaxy of course.
Oh for sure! I'm a huge Seattle Sounders fan. We have the biggest fanbase in MLS and last year was their first season with the league! The Seattle Sounders sell more season tickets than the Seattle Mariners. Last season they won the US Open Cup. Unfortunately they're not looking so hot this year, but we still love them in Seattle! Did I mention Seattle is #1 in the rankings for potential World Cup locations for the US 2018/2022 bid? Last season only Toronto and Seattle even turned a profit.. Next season they're adding 2 more MLS teams in the Pacific Northwest (Vancouver Whitecaps and Portland Timbers). I'm so stoked for the rivalries! With all the recent expansions (Seattle 2009, Philadephia 2010, Vancouver and Portland 2011, Montreal 2012), recent World Cup hype, signing of Thierry Henry to the redbulls, and possible signing of Ronaldinho - things are looking good for MLS!

Hopefully USA can win a World Cup during our lifetime. That's what I really want, and the better they get, the higher our chances. I thought the 2018/2022 where going to be hosted by different cities around the USA? I know that the new Giant Stadium is going to be used.

Unlike the Olympics where a single city hosts the event, during the World Cup the entire country hosts it in several cities. I believe the bid committee has selected the maximum of 18 cities allowed by FIFA (Boston, NY, Philadelphia, Baltimore, DC, Indianapolis, Atlanta, Tampa Bay, Miami, Nashville, Houston, Dallas, Kansas City, Pheonix, LA, San Diego, Denver, and Seattle). When I mentioned the rankings for potential WC locations I should I used past tense rather than present since the candidate cities have indeed been submitted to FIFA already! December 2, 2010 is the big day when FIFA decides which two countries will host :O

We probably won't get 2018, but our biggest competition for 2022 is Australia (which never hosted). It was stated that more USA fans spent more money on the 2010 games than any other country. We also still have the records for sales, generated revenue, and attendance! It's a huge profit for FIFA if they decide to have it in the USA.
Hmm, in retrospect, maybe he should have visually stayed on the ball before getting up and beating his chest, lol. YouTube - ‫المغرب الفاسي - الجيش الملكي ضربة جزاء غريبة BladiTube.Net‬‎
That's why it's never over till the fat lady sings hahahaha
So true and that video is the perfect example.
Anyone just watch that USA - Brazil game?? Wow!
Anyone just watch that USA - Brazil game?? Wow!
I'm so bummed. I was watching and the score was 2-1 Brazil, and then the time was almost out and I thought it was practically over, so I left my house. I get home and then hear I missed out. :(
Anyone just watch that USA - Brazil game?? Wow!
It was f****** awesome! So exciting
I was so frustrated until Wambach put it in. I almost cried at that point. I know that the one announcer commented on how 12 years ago today was the US winning the Women's World Cup, but this was truly amazing.
I didn't get to see it live, but watching it replayed was: Stunning. Amazing. Powerful. I won't miss the next game.
I'm not a soccer fan at all, the only time I watch is the world cup but that was one of the most exciting/ best sporting events I have ever seen.
I found myself in the exact same position that I was last year when Landon Donovan scored for the US in the Algeria game. This time, a cupcake did not end up on the screen. Wambach has had a really poor showing so far this world cup. I'm glad she finally stepped up and scored a beautiful goal off an amazing cross.
Rapinoe's pass was purely amazing. I wonder what's gonna happen against France though. It should be an offensive explosion.
Rapinoe's pass was purely amazing. I wonder what's gonna happen against France though. It should be an offensive explosion.
She had been playing some amazing balls, but that last cross was perfection. She could not have played it any better.
Rapinoe's pass was purely amazing. I wonder what's gonna happen against France though. It should be an offensive explosion.
I agree. Rapinoe's pass was amazing! She had been playing an amazing game after taking over for another player (Rodriguez I believe, I may be wrong). Le Peilbet was also playing a great game. Wambach amazed everyone with the goal. Solo was an amazing goal keeper throughout the game. Every player did their part to keep the game going. Also, I give props to the first goal, I missed who scored, so I can't give proper credit to any player. On the side note, I am still amazed that the referee gave Buehler the red card, called Solo out for the movement she made, gave Solo the yellow card, and gave Brazil a second chance at the penalty kick. I was nervous throughout the game, but I am glad our team made it (that is the people that are rooting for team USA)!

She was also the one who had her PK saved by Solo. Not exactly a good game for her... But all of the commentators seem to think that it was Rampone's encroaching that awarded the 2nd PK, not movement from Solo. Solo's movement was perfectly legal. I think it's safe to say that that was the referee's last officiating match for this WC.

Absolutely, the ref had made awkward calls and missed a lot of illegal moves. Hmm, I wasn't watching Rampone and that may have been why. I'm just perplexed to why Solo got the yellow card. Anyway, yeah I wasn't aware of some things, so thanks for the info Molds!
Can't wait for tomorrow! PS: I love Ian Darke. One of the best commentators in all of sports. YouTube - ‪USA vs. Brazil - Relive the U.S. Women's Soccer Team's Epic Comeback‬‏
