The only ones I don't remember are those from season 1 because I didn't watch it. I don't agree with the number 1 choice however. It's good and Alex did an amazing job but it's not my number 1, maybe 6ish. They mentioned in the comments about the Kayla and Kupono "Addiction" dance that they thought Tyce's "Cancer" dance was overpraised (not enough to not even make the list though! c'mon!) and for me I think that hip hop routine is overpraised. It's all opinion though and lists are never perfect. ;)
Yeah, I do agree with the hip hop dance that it shouldn't have been number one and the Cancer piece should have at least made the list. I'm not the biggest fans of the Hip Hop routines because half the time one of the people can't really keep up with the other. I personally think either the routine with the table or the one with the bench should have been number one.

I personally prefer the table routine just because it's a little more fun and I loved Neil and Sabra. I just think they did a bad job of picking hip hop routines because I don't think the Twitch/Lauren one was one of the best hip hop, let alone top 25 of all the routines. It's nice that they linked all the dances though because I love going back and watching them!
I find it funny that ABV said that season 5 was "disappointing" yet there are four dances from season 5 and only three from season 4 (which was WAY better). Season 5 was pretty forgettable in my eyes and to be honest I don't remember any of the dances they mentioned.

I have a feeling some of the list was made up of videos they could find and link to versus routines they actually favored. I did like Season 5 though. Kayla is still one of my favorite dancers. I think it got better as it went on though and didn't start as strong as other seasons did.

Kayla is also one of my favorites and I wanted her to win that season. I found it quite annoying that the Broadway dancer, Evan, even beat her that season. They just didn't do her justice. I personally thought she was better than Janine. I think the weakest season so far was last season. It seemed like Kent and Lauren were going to make it to the end no matter what and they always over did it. Another thing was that when they mentioned All-Stars and showed the commercials, I first thought it would be a season fully on them and they had a shot at winning, but when it wasn't like that it really was boring. I'm glad they started off with a Top 20 this season, but I'm only somewhat looking forward to the All-Stars.

I think it was her personality that hurt her. Janine is bubbly and is probably more likable to the younger girls which got her the win. Kayla was quieter and I think harder to relate to for younger girls who may not be able to really distinguish between their talent levels. She really should have placed at least third that season because I hardly remember Evan. Last season was weak for me also. Too much emphasis on how adorable Kent and Lauren were and not enough on talent. I'm just happy Kent didn't win and that I got to watch Pascha shake it some more. So happy he is back again as an all-star. I am happy they have a Top 20 again, too. Hopefully this format will work better and we can get the best of both worlds!
It's a little interesting to compare his new list to his Top 15 list from two years ago: 'So You Think You Can Dance': The 15 greatest routines | PopWatch | EW.com

That was a good number, but I just don't think it was worth number on at that moment either. I guess it's just that I would rather watch all the other styles of dances over hip hop.
I like a lot of the hip hop routines I just don't agree with the ones he picks as his favorites. I'm still pretty surprised there are no dances with Will. He was ah-mazing and deserves at least one spot. Like that pas de deux with Katee! Great routine. He's another dancer I think was hurt by so called "lack of personality".
I must also add that I'm glad Mary Murphy is back. She annoys me when she's there, but then when she was gone last season I missed her. She just cracks me up.
Oh make up your mind already, xD

Alright I know there has been a lot of hubbub in the Real World threads today, but I just have to comment on how freaking awesome this show was last night!! It's like with each new dance it got progressively better and better. I have no idea how they will choose 4 people to go home tonight! My favorites: Sacha & Alexander: Obvs, because they are awesome, and I loved their dance!! (Actually I really like both of the NappyTabs numbers last night). Their dancing was SO on point, and Alexander is a freakin' STUD!! I almost didn't recognize him after he shaved and slicked his hair back. AND In UNIFORM?? :swoon: Jordan & Tadd: I'm a sucker for a good Vienese Waltz, and they did NOT disappoint. Jordan looked amazing and Tad (!) Holy cow I forgot he was a b-boy! I loved the song, the movement, everything. I think they did phenomenal and I'll be disappointed if they are in the bottom again this week. I really liked Jordan in the auditions, so I'd like to see her keep up the momentum for the actual shows. Katelynn(sp?) & Mitchell: I don't know a whole lot about either of their personalities yet, but I thought the dance was absolutely great and beautiful. Poor girl even took one for the team with that punch in the nose. That's it, I just really loved the dance. I liked Wo0-man & Melissa too. I think they improved greatly from last week, so I don't want to see them go home either. Not impressed by: Ryan & Ricky or Melissa & Marco. If I had it my way, they would be the two going home, but I don't think it'll end up that way. What do you guys think?

I too enjoyed both NappyTabs numbers and thought Caitlynn and Mitchell did a fantastic job. I'm glad he is healthy again because it was great watching him dance! I don't know how they are going to choose 4 either. I was actually a little surprised that they are still doing a bottom 3 couples. I thought they would have done a bottom 4 to give them more room in case a few favorites of theirs got voted in. It will be very interesting to see how it all goes down tonight. I fear that Jess and Clarice will be in the bottom again even though I really like them both. It really seems all up in the air right now because it is a very strong season. If a lot of the same people are in the bottom then it will be pretty obvious that they just don't have the votes.

All the dances were really great I thought. The only one I didn't find quite so good was the Cha Cha. I can't remember who it was, but they thought the girl outshone the guy, but I completely disagreed. Great season so far.
I just spoiled myself by looking up the eliminations and am very sad about two of them.
I really wish they had done a bottom 4 because it's obvious the judges saved who they think should be fan favorites in Ryan and Ricky.
The spoiler box just begs me to look every single time. Now I'm thoroughly upset :(
I wanted Iveta to stay. I'm okay with the other two going home because I wasn't amazingly impressed with either of their routines but I am very sad about the two you mentioned.

And I think you're completely right about who stayed, it's definitely who the "fans" will like more later down the line, even though I refuse to jump on that bandwagon. I'm already ready for them to switch up partners.

I especially loved the routine they did last week (even if it was in her style) and I don't under why they couldn't pick someone to go home then. I think they would have stayed this week had they sent someone else home last week.
I've been rooting for Nick and of course he was kicked off.... I think He and Ryan would have made a great pair...
Ugh. And their explanation for keeping Ryan was not satisfying. Nigel basically said "Ryan, your solo sucked (which it did) but we just like you better, so we are keeping you." The one thing I don't like about SYTYCD is that is really does favor contemporary dancers. I forgot that Nick was a tapper and that makes his dancing even more impressive than what Ricky and Ryan have done. Sad to see them all go.

OMGWTFBBQ!?!? Ivetta and Nick?? Gah I'm so ticked. Ryan isn't even in the same class as Ivetta. Yes, she's being favored and I'm sick of the judges cramming her down my throat. (Unanimous, judges? Way to stick by your girl Mary Murphy) *cough* And sweet awesome Nick just adds insult to injury. I sincerely hope this does not set the tone for the rest of this season. Also, I was equal parts impressed and creeped out by the 7yr old-looking girls dancing their faces off and shaking things they shouldn't be aware of yet.
Tonight's episode has been quite good so far, although I kind of take back saying how much I wish Ryan and Ricky were voted off last week. They just danced contemporary. Their dance tonight was really amazing and it was beautifully choreographed by Sonya. I'm also really loving Kristin Chenoweth as the guest judge and Lil' C being back :D
I am on my way to the taping of tonight's results show...I'll come back with all the goodies :)

Based on the dance for your life dances- Ivetta did the best out of the girls. I think Ricky did the best for the guys somewhat. They all did great in their different genres I guess. I too was impressed and creeped out by the children.
I am on my way to the taping of tonight's results show...I'll come back with all the goodies
How exciting, molds!! I am going to watch last nights show when I get out of work today, hopefully just in time to see the results!
So I am on my way back from the taping...it wasn't exactly what I was expecting, but it was pretty cool. They did their group number, which was a jazz routine by this new guy, Michael Rooney. It was really cool, although the guys were WAY off. The girls definitely look much stronger. And then they filmed Cat coming out, who was wearing this super cute flower dress with pockets (she even said "and my dress has pockets! I can put sweets in it later!") Melanie, Ryan, and Sasha looked really really good, as well as the short Broadway guy (I couldn't stop looking at him). The stage is TINY. Really really tiny. I am amazed at how little space they had to move around. But other than that, it was pretty cool!
