Yeah they really need to pick it up next week. Not a make or break really for me since I'm not gonna stop watching just yet, but the dancers need to step up their game.
I totally agreed with Nigels rant calling out Nathan and Mollee and if those two don't step it up big time next week and we start having an Evan situation again I am gonna get angry! Stupid tweens ruining the show...
Also, I am a little behind and just watching it now, but that Alvin Ailey dance was HOT! That is what the dancers should be striving for. Amazing.

Ryan & Ellenore – Contemporary – Travis Wall
Nathan & Mollee – Pop Jazz – Laurieann Gibson
Russell & Noelle – Fox Trot – Eddie Simon
Legacy & Kathryn – Paso – Tony Meredith
Victor & Channing – Jazz – Tyce Diorio
Jakob & Ashleigh – Hip Hop – NappyTabs
I didn't get to watch the whole episode yet (I've only seen Russel & Noelle, Ryan & Ellenore, Legacy & Katherine and Mollee & Nathan, but I have to say that Ryan can LIFT! Damn! It was like Ellenore was weightless they way he just held her up and lifted her. It made the dance so fluid and wonderful. I really enjoyed theirs.
Once again Mollee and Nathan disappoint. They are starting to become the Evans of the season for me. I do think they have way more talent than him to start off but they just seem like they are half-assing it these past two weeks. I think they will be carried pretty far just based on her giggles and his dreamy eyes or whatever. Maybe Mollee should stop goofing off and practice with her shadow like Legacy does and Nathan should really search for what it means, or at least looks like to dance with your heart and leave your soul on the stage, because that wasn't it.
I am really getting into this show, this is the first time I have watched all the way through. These people are so talented!
Last night's show was excellent, the only routines I really didn't like were Kevin and Karen, and Channing and Victor. Did anyone else see Kevin go in for this kiss at the end? And he got nothing but her teeth in return!
I really liked Legacy and Kathryn, for some reason I really like her. Ryan and Ellenore were pretty good too, she totally trusts him, some of her jumps going in blind were amazing.
I also really like Noelle and Russell, he just has this quality about him that makes you think he deserves to be there. And he is doing an amazing job.
My husband and I were wondering last night, how many of these couples are doing the mambo in the bed?
For some reason I'm down to watching on three and a half shows on the consistent bases, I guess I've been aspiring towards a more amish like existence. SYTYCD is the half - I haven't really been watching even though this used to be my favorite show. I'm sad I missed a Travis Wall routine, will have to see if I can get it on youtube. I saw the Nathan/Mollee routine last week and yeah, they needed to have been on the chopping block. But I've got a soft spot for Nathan I must admit, not enough to vote for him, but I do like him. I bet the judges wish they could've kept picking the bottom three, I hate to admit it, because I can't stand Nigel but at least they were putting the right couples in the bottom when it was up to the judges to decide. I actually like the people better this season then I did the last two, Ellenore and Legacy especially. Sidevent though, I realize that contemporary and hip hop dance tend to be the most dynamic and widely seen styles but I wish that they would have more diverse people, I loved that they had tap dancers but then they got rid of them all right away, there's so many styles of dance I'd like to see more represented in the casting.
I looooooved Ryan and Ellinore's routine! It was so beautiful, as always from Travis Wall. Ryan is just, amazing to watch move (and the body doesn't hurt ;)). I'm glad Ellinore got good comments from the judges as she has been a favorite of mine so I hope she continues to shine.
I don't know why the judges were fawning over Mollee. I think Nathan is amazing but he needs a better partner. And yes, he also needs to step it up like Nigel told him. His cute face will only get him so far, but for his age, he really does have great talent, he just needs to tighten it up more.

Haha, I only watched the second half too :D although I did see Victor and Channing's (which was kind of weird, to be honest, kind of out of character for Tyce)
I also really liked Travis' routine, as usual. I used to not really like Ryan (maybe just because I didn't like his wife) but damn, he is talented (and so is she).
I looooooooooved Legacy in the paso doble!!
I definitely think that Mollee and Nathan are relying on the teeny boppers for the vote and it'll be interesting to see how they fare when/if they get broken up or end up in the bottom. I don't think one can last too long without the other. And although their routine was decent last night, I also didn't understand why all the judges were ZOMG over it. The choreography was good, and they did fairly well, but not awesome. It's sad, because Mollee was one of my early favorites. I think I liked her free spirit and passion that she has for dance, but it's almost like it's a completely different girl from the one that originally tried out.
I think the judges were praising Mollee and Nathan more than they deserved because they saw the backlash from critiquing them last week. Since they mostly control the teeny bopper vote who will vote feverishly if they think their couple/dancer is in trouble I think it was a smart move for the judges to tell they they did decently and to keep growing and watch the other dancers they are really praising without outright telling them it sucked.
I liked Channing and Viktor's routine but I agreed with Adam that the song choice held me back from really connecting. Maybe it's because I compare it to the original or other covers, but I just wasn't feeling it. Sadly, I must admit that they are the dancers I tend to forget about and when Nigel pointed out that this was the first time he saw Channing open up and dance with emotion it made sense to me. She did always seems closed off and it turns people off from wanting to connect with her.
After watching all of the routines the dancers I think SHOULD be in the bottom 3 after a pretty strong night are Channing/Viktor, Molle/Nathan and Karen/Kevin, but I think M/N will be saved again and I have no clue who is going to get the shaft in their place.

Lyrical Jazz: Sonya
Just got through the first half of the dances and I think my favorites were Ashleigh & Jakob's lyrical jazz, Legacy & Kathryn's jazz and Ellenore & Ryan's lindy hop. All were really wonderful. Sonya rocked it out tonight!! Love her :D
My least favorite so far was sadly again Mollee & Nathan's hip hop. I don't know what it is with them, can they not learn the routines fast enough? Do they not spend as much time practicing? Whatever it is, they need to figure it out this next week when they get new partners since I am sure they will make it through on votes. I know they are both great but they have been the biggest disappointments for me so far this season.
Umm can I just say a big WHAT THE HECK?!?!?!?!?!? for Viktor going home over Nathan? You have to be kidding me. Mary and Adam you made a big mistake. Nathan has not proven himself and if you just wanted to keep him in for the tour or whatever that was a bad move. I was with Nigel all the way. Nathan's solo wasn't even close to Viktor's. Grrr that made me mad. At least Mollee went for it and put out a good solo so it justified her staying over Karen but gimme a break. Total favoritism right there. :(
Detailed spoilers for this week. New partners, new solos:
ROUTINES:
Ryan and Noelle: Hip Hop – Tabitha & Napolean
They did a boss and sexy secretary-ish kind of shtick for their dance. It was cool, but while Ryan got all the moves he didn’t get super funky or into the groove of it. Also it was kind of odd seeing Noelle trying to be sexy all up on him when she looks like she could be his baby sister or niece or something. Judges loved it, but Nigel didn’t think Ryan was funky enough.
Legacy and Ashleigh: Contemporary – Gary Stuart
This routine will wear you out just watching it. It was very militia/gorillaesque leader of the pack/fight for dominance kind of thing. There were a lot of jumps off of one another and non-stop action. They were both breathing heavily for a good two-three minutes after it finished. Judges again loved it and I think Mary screamed?
Nathan and Kathryn: Broadway – Spencer Liff
I am SO HAPPY that Spencer Liff has been doing all the Broadway routines lately instead of Tyce. He is a breath of fresh air. Anyways, Nathan and Kathryn looked so natural doing Broadway. They could have seriously waltzed out of the 1940’s movies onto the SYTYCD stage. Kathryn was dream and Nathan was a mini Fred Astaire. Loved it! Also on a side note, I think they’ve completely broken Nathan down. He looked like he didn’t have a single ounce of confidence standing in front of the judges and was just waiting for them to rip him a new one. So sad.
Jakob and Ellenore: Quickstep – Tony and Meredith
LOVE THEM TOGETHER! Seriously I would pair them together every single week from here on out if I could. The two of them work. They were adorable during their quickstep. Normally I find the quickstep ho hum and kind of boring, but I was sucked in and beaming during the entire routine. Their quickstep was about them competing in a ballroom comp and winning the big ol trophy at the end. It was cute at the end when the judges went off on a random tangent and Cat had to remind them to get on it with it due to the trophy that Jakob and Ellenore were holding was pretty heavy hahah.
Russell and Mollee: Lyrical Jazz – Mandy Moore
Adam was dead on about Mollee and Nathan maturing when they switched partners, because Mollee was def. all woman up there on that stage during this piece. Russell was also gorgeous up there as well and there’s NO WAY he’s never taken any sort of dance class before – not with those lines! They danced to the 80’s power ballad “It Must Have Been Love” so yea you get the drift with that one.
Part Two:
Ryan and Noelle: Waltz – JT Thomas and Tomas Mielnicki
Oh man this one was BEAUTIFUL. They were so light and graceful and you really thought they could be dancing on air. They were so in tune with eachother. Made the audience feel like we were in a Disney Fairytale movie ala Little Mermaid meets Tale As Old As Time. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.
Legacy and Ashleigh: Hip Hop – Dave Scott
This was GOD AWFUL and mainly due to the choreography. I normally like Dave Scott’s work, but this was garbage. Legacy was some weird vampire/Count (more Count from Sesame Street than Dracula) and had a HUGE cloak that took away from the dancing. Also Ashleigh had some huge poof thing on her shoulder that was strange and the judgestotally called out the wardrobe department on those disasters. The dancers did alright with what they were given, but I totally agreed with Nigel who said it wasn’t up to par in skill or caliber level in this stage of the game. Very glad they started calling out choreographers when their work sucks too.
Nathan and Kathryn: Rhumba – Tony and Meredith
Eh this one was alright. It wasn’t bad by any means, but they kind of phoned in the chemistry with this one I thought. They got all the moves down, but something was lacking. It was cute though seeing Nathan try to be suave and studlike haha. In my head I was thinking “Awww look at you trying to be all manly! You go head boy.” Nigel also thought there wasn’t enough hip action in the choreo, but Mary quickly pointed out that this was the new International Rhumba instead of the American Rhumba that has lots of hips.
Jakob and Ellenore: Contemporary – Sonya Tayeh
OH MY GOOODDDDD. To quote our dearly missed Mia Michaels, this routine was STUPID!!! Ellenore + Jakob + Sonya = HOLY GRAIL/TRINITY/WHATEVER of So You Think You Can Dance! It was dark and twisted and gnarly and Jakob kept throwing and thrashing Ellenore around like a rag doll. It was perfection and madness and brilliance, etc. I could honestly go on and on and on about this routine, but its up there with Sonya’s Garden routine in my books and even surpasses it a little. Everyone immediately jumped to their feet and went nuts after they finished and it took several minutes before they could calm any of us down. All the choreographers and judges gave it a standing ovation too. SO BANANAS!
Russell and Mollee: Jive – Anya and Pasha
Energetic and SUPER fun! This was probably the only routine that could have followed the Sonya Contemporary piece. I think Mollee was pretty good at shaking her tailfeather, but my eyes were glued to Russell the entire time so I’m not sure haha. He was charismatic, played to the audience super well and got the exact tone of what the jive is all about. I was bouncing in my seat slightly I was so into it by the end.
SOLOS
Before anyone danced their solos, they showed packages of where they came from and interviewed their families i.e. LOTS OF TEARS. Like bucket loads.
Mollee Solo: She was cute. Very competition dance-ish but good! I wouldn’t pick up the phone for her based on that alone.
Russell Solo: Ooh wee! That boy is something else! His solo was gritty and dirty and hard and AHHH! That’s the best way I can describe it hahah, but he was awesome.
Noelle Solo: Her solo was lovely and quickly drew you in. Beautiful girl dancing a beautiful solo.
Ryan Solo: Ballroom solos are always a little weird, but I felt like he was a matador and the audience was his bull? Haha he danced to “Rock You Like a Hurricane” so it was very strong and yea, he’s got nice arms. That’s all I can say about that.
Kathryn Solo: I don’t really remember too much about hers other than it was nice and pretty… Pretty, but I’m guessing not rememberable if I can’t recall too much about it right now.
Nathan Solo: I love his solos. So fluid yet intricate and he’s captivating to watch. His turns are also GORGEOUS. He was very humble and grateful after he finished and cried while thanking his parents again. It was very sweet.
Ellenore Solo: I’m totally on board the space ship to Planet Ellenore. If you look up the word quirky in the dictionary, I’m positive you’ll find her picture listed underneath. She finds all these interesting nuances in songs and fills it with crazy little tidbits and motions. She’s a fascinating creature that’s for sure.
Legacy Solo: Once again, BANANAS! This man makes you FEEL things when you watch him dance. Never before have I seen so much raw passion conveyed through b-boying before I saw his solo tonight. He has so much heart and you can’t help but to root for someone who feels and breathes it through every ounce of their being. I may be going a bit overboard with this one, but he was THAT GOOD. Standing O from the audience and all the choreographers.
Ashleigh Solo: That girl is a firecracker! Hands down one of the best ballroom solos I’ve ever seen. She knows how to work a crowd and will build you up to the end. I wasn’t an Ashleigh fan in the beginning, but I’m on my way to becoming one.
Jakob Solo: PERFECTION. I honestly don’t know what else there is to say about him. It’s so effortless and natural when he dances and beautiful and gorgeous and any other synonym to pretty you can think of. I could spend hours watching him dance and he has yet to make a misstep on this show in my eyes.

Just saw Jakob and Ellenore's Sonya routine...
HolyfreakingcrapthatwasridiculousIcan'tbelievehowawesomethatwas.
The person who did the details on the spoilers is. Right. On.
Ooooh I'm actually looking forward to tonight!
There are quite a few good ones!! Jakob and Ellenore were outstanding both times. Mollee and Russell's jive was great and so was their jazz. Ryan and Noelle's waltz was pretty good (I missed their hip-hop) and everything else was good (except Legacy and Ashleigh's hip-hop...ouch)
As for the solos, the guy who did the spoilers is right. I was not an Ashleigh fan to begin with, but I am quickly becoming one.
Legacy and Jakob's solos were outstanding. Don't miss them!!
EDIT: funniest part: when Cat was on stage with all of them at the very end, and they all broke it down and started to dance, and Ryan, Nathan, and Legacy all stood around Cat while all the girls danced with each other (and Jakob) :p
I don't know why, and I don't know if Noelle's was the same, but Ryan just did the exact same solo from last night. Like...EXACT.
EDIT: Kathryn and Nathan's weren't the same. The judges were very...careful with their words when it came to critiquing Ryan after his solo.
On a side note, Quest Crew is performing to Snoop Dogg. It wasn't too good (it was kind of like "look what I can do!" and no real choreo) but they were a hell of a lot better than the other two crews that were on there...
Going home: Noelle and Nathan
I think Noelle knew she was going home. Kathryn got very high praises from Mary about having a great solo and doing everything the choreographers have asked of her where they definitely didn't say as much about her.
I just caught up with all the shows this season. I was really slacking. Some observations:
Ashleigh is without a doubt my favorite dancer there followed closely by Russel. I'm so glad she made it through to the top 20 because I never thought she was given a chance to shine away from Ryan, and she's definitely impressed me more than he has.
I really don't understand all the talk about Nathan and Evan. I thought the purpose of this show was to find America's FAVORITE dancer, not the BEST. The judges have stressed this more than once, and if they thought it wasn't working, they would change it. I get some of you didn't like Evan, I didn't think he should have made it that far either, but apparently a lot of voters did like him.
Anyway, bringing it back to this season. I was kind of surprised to see Noelle go, but I guess it's pretty obvious that Russel was pulling her when they were voting for couples. I kind of figured the same thing would happen to Ashleigh since she wasn't paired with Jakob anymore, but I'm happy to see that she's still there.
Pairings for tonight:
Jakob & Mollee – Broadway (Joey Dowling), Viennese Waltz (Jason Gilkison)
Legacy & Ellenore – Contemporary (Travis Wall), Hip Hop (NappyTabs)
Ryan & Kathryn – Disco (Doriana Sanchez), Cha Cha (Jason Gilkison)
Russell & Ashleigh – Hip Hop (Shane Sparks), Bollywood (Nakul Dev Mahajan)
I am REALLY excited to see Russell do Bollywood.
Also, this season the finale is next week, meaning it's a final 6!
Kayla from season 5 is assisting Travis.
EDIT: This just in. Russell had to perform both routines with assistants because Ashleigh was hurt.

Well that sucks. She'll probably be the one that goes home.

She might get a ton of sympathy votes. I think Kathryn is the next one out.
