Smallville: Ep. 702 - Kara
I'm probably the only one watching this, but I'll discuss away any how. I've never had a problem talking to myself anyway. So we learn about the mysterious girl that saved Lex Luthor last week. It didn't take a brain surgeon to figure out her identity was Supergirl. What we did learn was that she left Krypton 18 years ago right after Clark, but she was trapped in the water in a dormant state all this time. When she is finally freed when the dam broke she thinks she just landed and is in search of a baby Kal-El. It turns out she is Clark Kent's cousin on his father's side. Her father being Zor-El Jor-El's brother. Any how, Kara finds out that her home planet is no more. And now the CIA (I think) is in possession of the very important crystal that was on her ship (that self destructed). Lana is not dead and we learn that Lex had cloned Lana and that was the DNA that was found at the scene. That's all I'm going to say about that because I hate Lana. I wanted her to be dead! The Daily Planet has a new editor and likes the tabloid news and gives Lois Lane a desk in the basement with cousin Chloe. I'm sure we will see a lot of 'sibling' rivalry come into play in future episode. For the past couple of years Clark has been delaying his training in becoming 'Superman' but has now gone back to visit is Fortress of Solitude to begin his training...although reluctantly. His first task is to keep an eye on his dear cousin Kara. Jor-El says she can not be trusted. My personal thoughts. I know that a lot of comic fans really hate this tv show. For obvious reasons that the writers are not following the script. But I love the heck out of Tom Welling and it's just entertainment, right? The Adventures of Lois and Clark never followed the comics to the letter either.
