Showtime picks up Big Brother After Dark for another go starting Feb 12th. LOS ANGELES, CA - CBS and Showtime will once again partner to bring viewers Big Brother: After Dark, an exclusive, live televised look inside the BIG BROTHER house after the network prime-time cameras have been turned off. Big Brother: After Dark will feature a live television feed from the "Big Brother" house for three hours (12:00-3:00 AM, ET/PT), seven days a week, on the cable network's SHO2 multiplex channel beginning Tuesday, February 12th at 12:00 AM ET/PT. The announcement was made today by Robert Greenblatt, President of Entertainment, Showtime Networks Inc. "Big Brother: After Dark was a big success for us at bringing an audience to very late night time periods on SHO2. This began as an experiment with our friends at Endemol and CBS, and I'm happy that it worked so well for all of us," said Greenblatt. "I'm amazed at how much curiosity there is about what goes on in the Big Brother house after the lights are out, but what better place to present that than on SHOWTIME where we have a lot of on-air real estate in the wee hours of the morning." The first winter edition of BIG BROTHER will premiere on CBS Tuesday, February 12th and air every Tuesday at 9:00 PM ET/PT, Wednesday at 8:00 PM ET/PT and Sunday at 8:00 PM ET/PT. The series follows the relationships and conflicts of players who live together in a house outfitted with dozens of cameras and microphones recording their every move 24 hours a day. One by one, the houseguests will vote each other out of the house. At the end of three months, the last remaining houseguest will receive the grand prize. BIG BROTHER is executive produced by Emmy Award-winner Allison Grodner and Rich Meehan, in association with Endemol U.S.A. When ya'll referred to Showtime After Dark, I swear I thought it was like the Red Shoes Diaries or some **** show on cable. Too funny! Did not know this BB thing existed on cable!!! Interesting...
Too funny Chopkins. Although, I am curious to know if this season someone actually 'hooks up' in those hours, if Showtime would show it. **** it!! Now I am going to have to see if I can take my 8 am M/W/F class at another time, because I know I'll be staying up til 2 every night watching. That is sad, lol.
I'm so excited, I can't wait for it to start. I had so much fun last season, it was my first time on the feeds.I'm hooked for life :)
I love the feeds. Showtime After Dark (SAD) is cool, but if the stuff is going down at 10 PM ET you are going to miss it. I can't even begin to count the times last year that something big would be happening and you would see all sorts of posts on jokers from people hoping it would last until midnight so they could see it on SAD. It hardly ever would. You can't plan on the drama being at a certain time. That is what is so cool about Big Brother. Stuff just happens randomly (and then you have to explain what happened to everyone that comes to the chat room that missed it, over and over and over again.) The big issue I have with SAD is the house guests knew it was coming on last year and would stop being natural and start acting like frat brothers. TOGA TOGA TOGA! That changes the dynamic a bit and I am not sure if that is a good thing. Of course, giving them beer always is! ;)
all the house guest but amber, thats when she would stick her foot in her mouth.and say so many stupid things, like her coments about jews and gays and her beging a good person.what an idiot.
If I had BBAD I wouldn't stay up so late on the feeds! Who am I kidding? **** I'd still be on the feeds. But why not show After Dark all night long??? Instead of 3 hours. What else is on? I've heard some rumblings on the net that some of the cast is Hollywood wannabees....very disappointing. They always bring the censor screens. :(
I noticed that Showtime editors would stay away from **** and his self talk rants toward the end of the season. I hated them controlling the cameras for me and switching in the middle of something (or going to commercial.) Yes, it is better then nothing, but it is definitely not the feeds! I have DISH Network and they have a channel that gives you 6 channels at once, so sometimes for certain events you can choose the camera angles and such while viewing (like with a football game.) It is to bad they can not forge a deal with CBS, as that technology would be perfect to actually host the real feeds on television and let the users decide what they wanted to watch.
