Scott:
The videos look great. Good luck in the next month. You've certainly got a great, authentic start....or should i say "staat" (a fellow bostonian here)..in the business.
Any thoughts on the effects of the blogging phenomenon going on with the filming of RWDC? If you havent seen the DC forum yet, it is pretty interesting. It would be "wicked awesome" to hear the reaction of folks who have been there about what it might be like to have all your moves twitted and tweeted before the show airs....
peace.
Hi Scott!!! Glad to see you're doing great with your career.:) I'm a straight Boricua guy from Puerto Rico but i admit when i see you shirtless, nowadays i think to myself: "I'm not gay, but i'll learn." Hope that confession doesn't offend you. I really mean it, out of all the Brooklyn guys, i think you're the most attractive and i understand if you don't wanna do a Challenge but i think you'd do REALLY well IMO.:victory:
I hope you dont do the challenge. You are cut out for bigger and better things. The Challenge is a dead end gig....and you have a shining future.
yeah I have heard it is intense. I haven't kept up with it, but good luck to those kids! haha
Thanks for the hometown support! Means a lot... and DEFINITELY no challenges :)
Lata!!
I would love to see the look on some of the "top dog" male challengers if you walked into a challenge...
Especially on Evan's; good lord! :tv_horror:
Hey everyone, I dont want to create new thread just to ask so I'll write it here:
I'm kinda new in sport "stuff" etc. so can anybody tell me differences between Fitness and Bodybuilding? I know it's a lot of hard work in gym, but the male rw/rr challengers are more Fitness or Bodybuilding "shape"?
It's kinda hard to explain for me, I don't speak English very well, hope you guys understand.
Scott good job. I watch sometimes your videos on fitness via youtube. You definitely are telling a lot of the things in which you have to do in order to develop great fitness levels and help people in their quest to get fit. In that me and you are similar as I to want to see people reach there higher goals through fitness and using the internet as an outlet is great. Bravo. Good luck on the television show. I had a couple of questions? How often and at what level do you work at? Are you at a point were you are just maintaining or are still adding mass? Thanks and I'm pretty sure I'll answer the basics of the post prior.

Fitness is something that you basically do for yourself. It's your personnel goals and it's has all to do with you.
Body Building: This is the case in which you are putting on as much muscle and mass that you can and then you cut weight for the show.
A major difference is body building is a job in which you compete against other people in a judging situation.
Body Building: also I will clarify what cutting weight is it's dropping water weight and excess fat i.e. not muscle a prolonged period before. In this case though when the people compete. They are actually at their weakest state as their body is functioning on less. If you have anymore question then I can elaborate.
So if I understood right, challengers aren't bodybuilders? their more like fitness guys (setting their own goals) right? And they work with free weights etc. or body weights (like push ups and other stuff) or theres something more ?
I just want to know how exactly they get such a good shape like CT (RW Paris), Landon (RW Philadelphia) & others.
Challenges inspired me to set up some life goals but I'm still young and inexperienced.
Thanks for the info.
MT.
There is more if you are body builder you tend to stay away from cardio except light cardio as it really doesn't help that muscle production or show shape. Lots of the competitors are either athletes from University i.e. Landon, M.J though he doesn't train as hard anymore, and Dave Sky. These guys have acquired there fitness levels from a variation of sports and weight training. Then there is the weight trainers i.e. Dunbar, and Wes they don't have a sport discipline but they do train in the gym.
I will explain this as short as possible. Body Builders get big for shows and cut weight, they don't have to perform all they do is showcase there muscles. So in that I think you got body building mixed up with weight training. Weight training and fitness all kind of tie in together.
Also body building is more similar to a beauty pageant then an iron man show.
So if I want something like Wes body, its all about healthy food, home trainings, high cardio (running, biking etc.) and weight work?
And fitness guys cant be as big as bodybuilders because of high cardio right?
How often and at what level do you work at? Are you at a point were you are just maintaining or are still adding mass? Thanks and I'm pretty sure I'll answer the basics of the post prior.
I workout 5-6 times a week at the highest intensity my body can handle. But I am not "trying" to gain mass. I let my body do its thing and I focus on strength or "power" I have gained about 2lbs of muscle a year since 11th grade. This has allowed me to always be lean which is the look I go for.
feel free to send me messages via youtube.. I am constantly on there.
Talk soon!
Great feedback on fitness vs. bodybuilding!
Well that depends on what kind of body builder you are talking about. I body build but will never be huge.. I turned the Steroids down if you know what I mean. But to each his own... POWER doesn't come with size.. it comes with the hard training.
Thank you guys for your help.
I'm inspired to set up life/body goals for myself.
As fitness guy not massive bodybuilder what should I eat more hydrocarbon or protein products or it doesnt matter while I'm active?
Thanks,
MT.
I heard some crazy news. Scott Herman said on one of his youtube videos that he says that he will in fact do a challenge. Let the discussions begin but this guy is for real and will challenge anyone for their place on the challenge. Yeah I hope Scott does do a challenge. Not only is a genuinely nice guy (which I think will help him maybe making friends or an alliance), I also hope he shows some of these guys *cough*Evan/Kenny*cough* what is up!!! ;)

It's about to get real! I'm hoping that he isn't the only one to look forward to in this Challenge, though. I want to see some Brooklyn and Cancun people with him too.
Scott is for real and hopefully this will not be his last time on a challenge as he has allot to offer. He brings new view and by his actions of giving Katelyn that money shows that he is a great person who has class. Hope he does well.

Probably not the next challenge or two but I would not be surprised to see Conklin end up on them eventually despite what he says. I wish Scott luck. He may be physical but I do not see him as being naturally manipulative which is 80% of the game IMO.
