I think you're watching the wrong show if you want to see people being best friends and promises coming true and everyone dances along a rainbow to a nice pot of gold to share with each other. Countless people have sold each other out or played unfair to win or try to win and a lot of succeeded in winning without doing so but it's so rare for anyone to win without cheating other people. JEKD have learned the best way for them to win and they're capitalizing on that. Veronica did it before and she was all for it but now she is against that style of playing the game, only because she was getting the short end of the stick. Everyone who is on this show should know the name of the game and shouldn't sound surprised when someone tries to screw them over. Everyone even says that the social game is more important then physical, so why does it come as a shock to half of vevmo and the people on the show that people play the way they do?
I dislike Johnny and Kenny cause theyre all talk little game, Evan talks a big game but has proven countless times he can back it up.
But I like the show with JEKD, thats why this show is fun to watch, you root for "david", but in order to do that you need a "goliath", which is JEKD. JEKD makes it fun to watch cuz you hate them and you hope that by some miracle the challengers beat them in the final and take what they deserve cause the challengers have been playin real fair up till now.
The ultimate example is Gauntlet 3, where everything goes the way the Vets want it too, until the final where team rookies (or team Frank) pull a super huge surprise win!
Why do people automatically assume that because we say Derrick is being cowardly it is just because he is friendly with KE? That is like when people say that everyone hates Evan because he is from Fresh Meat. I hate Evan because he is an annoying *******. I think that Derrick is being cowardly because he refuses to go against Evan and Kenny not because he is friendly with them.
I respect that Derrick doesnt want to argue or fight with anybody, but dude just man up and tell everybody that youre in an alliance with JEK. Stop actin like you dont know if your gonna vote syrus or johnny, you damn well know youre gonna put syrus under the bus. and you would do it to your "pal" darrell too.
I used to like Derrick but that was before he was in that sneaky alliance on the island which he wanted to win for his family (which he did), and then now hes back again for the ruins? seriously?
Above that I dislike the way Derrick uses his family as an excuse/reason for a lot of things. Didnt he already win two challenges(which is a lot of money)? How long is he going to do these? I think after this challenge he should give it a rest, and actually BE with his family and stop doing these shows. And also stop being drunk on tv, thats not setting a good example for your kid.
I used to like Derrick but that was before he was in that sneaky alliance on the island which he wanted to win for his family (which he did)
I'm with you. Derrick was my favorite challenge competitor by miles and miles previous to The Island - but that place changed him. I understand he wanted to win one for his family and don't fault him for it, but the behavior inherited from the demons which he dealt have shaped how I view him.
Did anyone think that Veronica was going to own this challenge once they saw the log? I flash backed to The Gauntlet when they had to straddle & shimmy across that pole to climb into the car stories above the ground. She humped her way to first place on that mission. I'll miss V, but I'm glad KellyAnne is still in the game.
Derrick acts like he doesn't know who he's gonna vote for in every deliberation, and really he could be conflicted he has said quite a few times that he doesn't always like they way JEK play the game, however once again it's a game the point is to win. I think voting for Sy over Johnny was a smart move for Derrick he knows Johnny has HIS back can he say the same about Sy.
hi so it seems that Veronica left. who left for the guys and against who?
i've been backreading but i'm getting impatient. :)
Syrus Vs. Cohutta, and Syrus went home.
I found this episode boring for the most part :/.
Did anyone find it funny when Kim tried to throw the fruits and they just hit the wall and she says "I cant throw!"? I don't know why but I found myself having to replay this part several times and couldn't stop laughing haha. Same when the same thing hapenned to Veronica.
I paused it when Kellyanne was reading the note that Wes left for her. Some things that I saw:
1) He says that Brad is in an alliance with Evan and Dunbar
2) He tells Kellyanne to send Johanna home
I don't know, those were 2 things that caught my attention.

Exactly!!! Atleast someone around here gets it.

I did. Pretty much the reason I expected her to do better in the ruins.
Please give us a good ruins, I wanna see wrestling, physical contact!
As to Derrick, why would he betray Johnny when he knows that he'll throw himself under the bus by doing that? I don't think Derrick has done anything wrong.
With Veronica gone I'm now rooting for KellyAnne and only KellyAnne.
Also, I find it extremely annoying that for most of the MTV.com interviews they only consist of Evan, Kenny, Ibis and Johanna. Like seriously? Come on! Stop it MTV!

In the dailies, Susie stole the letter and read it to Kenny, Dunbar and I assume some others. It says how important Johanna was to him but it unfortunately ended and that she taught him as much about life as his mother but he knows she's not the one and she makes life decisions that make "***** cringe." Casey has growing up to do and is throwing the challenges, warn Brad. Trust Evan he has faults, but will tell you the truth to your face. Brad has an alliance with Kenny and Evan. Veronica is trustworthy, tell her your ****** boyfriend said so. Send Johanna home, it is worth the money and 90% possible.

I hope KellyAnne finds out and calls her out on it. But I don't think that will happen.

Aww, I like Evan and Wes's dysfunctional friendship...LMAO.
Ugh, between the chunks comment on V and the stealing the letter, Susie has become unbearable for me. I hope she gets a rude awakening in this alliance and the reunion reactions.
I really get where Derrick is coming from regarding the alliance. BUT...it would be very nice to see these fringe members wise up and realize that the alliance will take you so far, and then it's time to flip it. Once all the non-alliance people are gone, they start picking out their fringe. Why not get the fringe together and pick off JEK once you get to six guys? Darrell, Syrus and Derrick could have then run that show.
Another question, Evan just called Derrick's kid baby awesome in the ruins replay, he mentioned that awesome was Derrick's son name before, is his name really Awesome? That is weird.

I don't think so. I think they just came up "Awesome" as a nickname. Like they have been for everyone on this show. Derrick - Diesel, Syrus - Sly, Darrell - Daryl, etc.
Apperently your right people don't like JEKD. I peronally find them smart, it's a game and if they can others to do what they want to ensure that they win, then hay more power to em.
The reason why people hate JEK is IMO, because they arent so smart... if others around them would wake up it would be soooo easy to take them down.
Its so fustrating because in the begining they dont have the numbers. If anyone had half a brain they would be able to take them down fast and hard. I think people just vent their fustration towards JEK because the rest are so dumb.

You hit the nail on the head in so many ways.

Agree, also the rules should not be in favor of alliances. I think at some point everyone that wants to get into the final, needs to proof himself/herself.
Derrick did an interview on Blog Talk Radio at the beginning of The Island and said that he wanted to name his son Awesome.
Derrick, please!!! We all love you, but get your mind out of the gutter. Especially when it comes to naming your offspring. Sure, everybody will be raving on how awesome "Awesome" is when he's a baby but consider the child's school years before making the final decision. He'll be a surefire guarantee for being picked on due to having such a "awesome" name.
Not so much to say about this episode. I've found that ever since I've been forced to watch them online I'm just not paying as much attention to things.
The note Wes left KellyAnne was really intresting to me. I have read some spoilers so some things are finally starting to click with me now. I am really surprised in Cohutta, and I'm going to admit that I have underestimated him alot, first taking out Wes and now Syrus. I may be an extreme minority here but I really do feel bad for Johnny. I'm sure that he Kenny and Evan are still close friends outside of the show, but when it comes to these games he always seems to get pushed to the side and Kenny and Evan always seem to do their own thing.
The whole Derrick thing I am really indifferent too. I don't see much wrong with what Derrick did, so he and Johnny wrestled a little... all of the boys seem to wrestle on these things what's the big deal? I think that at first Johnny didn't realize how mad Derrick really was so that is why it escalated to what did.
In all honesty, I think Veronica called Derrick a coward because things weren't going her way. Even if Derrick did vote another way (which would not have helped his situation in the game) Veronica would have been going in against KellyAnne anyway. Just like on Fresh Meat, when Kenny voted himself and Tina into the exile, he was going to go in anyway no matter which way he voted so who cares?
On to the next episode, which looks to be filled with Casey doing what she does best... oh joy.
Just as a general statement... but lately I have realized that I have many different opinions about alot of things than the majority of people on this site, and that many people take certain situations way too seriously. To be completely honest I'm not sure if there are some things that I'm just not seeing or understanding, because I feel like some things are being blown way out of proportion.

How would that put his mind in the gutter?
Some times people give their children names to make them tougher, and I could see Derrick being one of those people.
Have you ever heard Johnny Cash's " A boy named Sue?" If not it is a great song, with a great story.

Yes, i've heard Johnny Cash's work. No, i've never heard his song "A Boy Named Sue."
My Johnny Cash listening experience is limited so far to only two songs: "Ring of Fire" and "The Man Comes Around". Sad but true.
And unfortunately, i really don't see how a name like "Awesome" is gonna make the kid tougher... I just don't see it. Maybe i need some special glasses that deal with this sort of thing.
