Worth a shot lol. Trishelle favorited it, responded and retweeted it.
Sorry, I was laughing because MTV has a bunch of PR people who troll the internet looking for everything related to their programming.
Wait, what happened with Dave and MTV? I don't even remember why he left The Island.
Because he "didn't feel like it".
It believe it began as an effort to produce more drama which those responsible believed would lead to a better rated show. The producer wanted constant and growing friction among the cast. Anything uncomfortable or divisive was good. Everything else was bad.
Here is one contrasting example:
During the shooting of Gauntlet 3 in Puerta Villarta, Mexico, Beth called me one afternoon, telling me she and some of the cast needed to escape for an evening on a down day. She asked me to book a table (I think for 10) for dinner at a nearby 5-star resort hotel the cast had seen on their way from the airport to their location. I made a call. All they needed to do was inform production and find their own transportation. I'm told it was a good escape and a bit of bonding for some away from the challenge environment.
During the shooting of The Island, however, a cast member felt the need to escape without production's knowledge several miles down the road from their location to a store to secure edible food and liquor. Cast members were not allowed to leave the location, and the food was so bad that one cast member stole food from a crew member's lunch. Deprivation was one of production's key factors to influence cast behavior on that challenge.
I could go on for pages...
Am I the only one who actually enjoed the island?? I thought it started going downhill after cutthroat but that might be because I haven't enjoyed any of the new cast like I did the old. I miss the old challenges.

Honestly you just might be.
Well think about it this way, they can't real do these long *** story lines because, people get eliminated left and right and unexpected. You don't want to be in a good story line and one of the main people just get eliminated early on.
Pretty sure they start editing only after everything's been filmed, so they already know when each cast member gets eliminated.
EDIT: Also, what the author of this article wrote about isn't exactly breaking news.
Am I the only one who actually enjoed the island??
You aren't! I'd love to see an Island 2. Perhaps without them being starved to death, though. I guess BMP might consider that to be taking away part of the "charm", sadly. :)

English please?
before the fresh meat era the weekley challenges were called missions
road rules cast members were at most of the challenges
the challenges back then had cast members from road rules and real world who were at only 1 to 3 challenges
the weekley challenges were not super extreme back then as it is now
and the show was called the real world rules challenge
