Real World Sydney: Releasing Tension
Shauvon still struggles with her decision to remain in Australia and not return to the United States to rekindle the relationship with her crybaby ex-fiancé. This can't be dragged out that much longer, can it? Kelly Anne tells her that if she's ready to get married then she should return home like a good little Stepford Wife to be... At Contiki Tours, Chris, the Operations Supervisor, gives the group their next eating and drinking assignment for the week, investigating Sydney's food and nightlife scene, and making recommendations for a travel package itinerary. Dunbar and Parisa have another childish disagreement, this time over when to leave to go out. Dunbar points out that it's 7:45, and they should leave at 9:30. Parisa prefers to work out for 2 hours, and says it's too short notice. It only takes a few moments for fireworks to ensue. They get into a heated argument over the cleanliness of the house. Dunbar screams at Parisa, accusing her of being inconsiderate toward the other six people in the house. Dunbar's girlfriend later Julie comes to visit, much to the relief of Parisa, who, echoing Isaac's comments in Episode 7, is hopeful that sexual activity will calm Dunbar down. Oh...and I wonder if Julie has seen the hot tub footage of Dunbar and Kelly Ann yet? In the end, Dubar comes off looking like an ******** at work while Parisa looks uber mature in they way she handled the situation- which is crazy! You know you are in the wrong when Parisa comes off as the better person!
I watched the 'sneak preview' of next week's episode and Shavaun finally leaves rather than go with the gang to northern Australia. Thank God!! I'm glad to see her go, even though I think the reasoning behind it is stupid! So, onto Dunbar/Parisa. Parisa is annoying. However, Dunbar is a flipping basketcase. Seriously, when his veins were popping out of his neck like that I was just waiting for him to have an anuerism! I watched this episode at about three AM last night online. I was a leetle intoxicated, and indignant about Dunbars behavior, (especially the way he was talking to her at their JOB at the end) I decided to tell him what I thought via myspace message. Yep. I am officially a reality star myspace stalker. Oh well. Anyway, I completely forgot about the message until I checked in this morning and found this reply from Dunbar.........
I hope you realize that what you see on tv is horribly edited, and designed to make me come off a certain way. Parisa was a complete ***** to me for several weeks, including the week Julie was visiting, The reason I go off on her at the beginning of the episode is because for 30 min I listened to her talk shit about me in the confessional just prior ( you didn't see that, and you would be pretty angry too), at work she lost our petty cash receipts, which cost me several hundred dollars of my money, it was her only job to get those receipts, she didn't, and worse wasn't apologetic about the situation. If that were a "real" job she would have been fired. I desperately needed money at the time and she, in a very Parisa way, tried to blame it on everyone in the room instead of take responsibility for it. Not to mention she was a complete ***** to Julie. In short, at that moment, if Parisa were a guy, I would of beat the shit out of her. Gain some perspective
Of course he used the old editing excuse, which I'll admit is probably true. Still I think he should have handled it a lot better. His girlfriend Julie seems really sweet, I wonder if seeing him act like this on television has made her question what kind of future husband/father he would be???
I wonder if he just has that reply canned at this point from massive amounts of hate mail? LOL! I can see his side in that I am sure it was important for him to have that money while being in a far off land, and it was wrong of Parisa to lose the receipts and then pass the buck on the blame - but in the end he just acted like an ****** AND at work none-the-less! Sure there is editing, but MTV did not make him act vulgar at the conference table at Contiki Tours. That was of his own doing. Note: I highly doubt Parisa was "Threatened" by Dunbar. It was wrong of her to say that to Chris. Did she feel he was being abusive? Of Course! ....but you could tell from her reaction that it was not a threatened look but rather a feeling of disappointment that he was verbally abusing her while she is practically in love with him....
Ya I kind of felt bad for him while reading it, until I got to the part about wishing Parisa was a guy so he could have kicked her butt. I mean, get over it Dunbar, let it go! Parisa was in the wrong too of course. But if it were a 'real' job, he very well could have been fired for talking to her like that in the workplace. You're right, she didn't feel threataned persay. But she still shouldn't have to be Dunbars verbal punching bag all the time either, whether his tirades are threatening to her or not. Sidenote: Have we seen the last of Alex?
Sidenote: Have we seen the last of Alex?
Maybe he got smart and ran like hell for stage right. ;)
Well, I came across Alex's profile. From the looks of it, I think he thinks he's famous... http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=103707536
Ok...now that I have seen his Myspace page, Alex is a much bigger loser then I initially thought......and I thought he was a pretty big loser! He is all splayed out in his profile pictures like he is Brad Pitt or something posing for Vanity Fair~!
