Did anyone else see on Afterbuzz TV that Swift took a lie detector test (about sleeping w/Toya) and FAILED??
Marie tweeted something about it earlier, but I can't find it now...maybe she deleted it?
You can watch it here (fast fwd to the 42 min mark to see them discuss the results of the lie detector test): Real World St. Thomas S:27 | Should I Stay or Should I Blow?
I'm kind of baffled though that Trey would cheat on a girl like Chelsea, who's clearly better looking than Laura, and possibly not so creepy?
I don't know, I think Laura is very attractive too. But Chelsey does seem a lot more mature than Laura and less annoying, so I don't understand why he was going back and forth between the two for the longest time. But I guess Trey was thinking with his hormones, it's not like he really fell for Laura, from what I can tell.
4thewin, yeah, I saw that too. Well, the lie detector test said he wasn't lying about 3 things (he doesn't think Trey is fake, he would date a black girl, he's never had sex with a man) but that he was lying about sleeping with LaToya. I'm not sure how accurate those tests are, but when he was talking and explaining himself, I felt like the hosts didn't really believe him. Or maybe I was just projecting because I don't believe him.

Well Chelsea also seemed pissed that Trey wouldn't leave the show and give up this once in a lifetime opportunity just to be with her. Granted, I don't know what happened to her, but if it was REALLY huge, I think it'd be a little more obvious by now.
It could have to do with her arm, but the phone conversation is still strange since she didn't sound all that upset and he had a hunch as to what it was. There was also some "thing" that happened between the two of them.
I think Swift crying was legit. I don't dislike Swift but I think he postures a lot. There are times when I was on his side of things though. He just handles arguments terribly. I also don't believe he slept with LaToya, they very well may had made out and possibly did some touching but I'd venture that is as far as it went.
I liked the little goobye party they had for Brandon. And despite the whole sobriety thing being a bust for him, I like Brandon and it's sad that the cast won't get to leave together.
Wow the Whole Chelsea/Laura thing was just underwhelming...I was kinda hoping Chelsea would ***** Laura out but it didn't happen.

Why would Chelsea do anything to Laura? If she did anything to anyone, it should have been Trey and not Laura.

He didn't sleep with LaToya. He went onto Afterbuzz TV and took a lie detector test and failed. It was quite humorous.
Lie detectors work based on your breathing, stress levels, ect. So when that question came up he was probably like nfebaofnyveiskfxhdosab. Which made it false
But I could care less about the situation the truth won't ever come out.
I didn't watch the Afterbuzz so I don't know how the question was phrased but during the episode where him and LaToya argued about it I think the term they each used was "hooked up". From all my years of watching reality tv the term seems to mean anything from fooling around/foreplay to sex, so I think it depends on what context each of them were using it in. Whatever the case I think something did happen. Early in the season they were in each other beds so I think its reasonable to believe at minimum some touching, kissing may have happened. Sure its possible nothing happened but not really probable. What would Swift have to gain about lying about it as opposed to what would LaToya stand to gain from denying it?As far as LaToya she was really likable and seemed to have her head on her shoulders until I heard about her behaviour at the reunion. I think Marie is a bad influence. Their posts on Twitter make it seems like they were more suited for the Bad Girls Club.
So what is the big deal about Trey and Chelsea? Fill me in, I've only seen one other episode. Was the chick pregnant? Very strange situation for sure.
It's not ever been confirmed what exactly was up with Chelsea, just speculated on.
Why would Chelsea do anything to Laura? If she did anything to anyone, it should have been Trey and not Laura.

Because She knew about the situation and STILL kept ******* with him. It would be one thing if she didn't know but she full well knew what was going on and she still kept messing with Trey and that's just scummy and disrespectful.
And Trey he definetly need his *** kicked by Chelsea. I'm not saying he should go unscathed in this situation...He disrespected thier relationship by doing what he did. He deserves just as much **** as Laura(acutally more when you think about it).
I'm going to take a step up and say that all 3 of them needed an *** kicking. I like Chelsea but she's not innocent.
I agree that Laura and Trey both messed but what did Chelsea do wrong?
In the preview for this episode, they show a scene with Marie tells Brandon that he is a good liar like his brother. I don't remember it being in the actual episode. Did I miss it?

Yes, it was in the episode. Was kinda funny actually.
Ugh... so the final episode is going to be a prank episode. Looks like this season's gonna go out with a whimper. That will definitely leave a bad taste in my mouth.
She cheated on him as well. She even remarks about it this week that the other guy is just a guy or something like that.
She sure did...I forgot about that....So I'm gonna go with Nostalgia. All 3 of them are pathetic.
One thing I don't get is why some people have taken off drunk driving, others have destroyed massive amounts of property, a couple have completely gone off the rails, yet a small amount on a failed drug test is a "line in the sand". I feel like something else is up. It just seems so trivial watching the episode.
Apparently the contract says they will stay clean while filming & that there's a random drug test sometime during filming. Obvi we didn't know because nobody else failed it in a season so they never had a reason to show a random drug test. At least that's what I'm getting out of it.
There's a podcast with elizabethany where Brandon states production "knew" (or suspected, at least) that he had done drugs because they can hear everything w/the mics they wear. He was tested the day after, so it seems like they must've known. too big of a coincidence otherwise!

The reunion gives an explanation for what may have caused such a quick drug test to happen.

There is absolutely nothing in their contract that says a random drug test is given sometime during filming. The contract states that if production has any reason to believe that someone has done something illegal, they have the right to test the cast. Everyone in the cast signed the contract that said they would abstain from drugs during filming.
Obvi we did know because the Real World contract has been posted on the Internet and I have a copy as recent as San Diego.

Swift explained it on afterbuzz. He says some of his friends came to visit him and one of them was being very vocal about doing drugs and was trying to get drugs while he was in St Thomas. Swift was telling him to stop talking about it because he didn't wanna be associated with that type of behavior, but it was too late. After his friend left, production asked Swift to take a drug test because they thought he'd done drugs with his friend, and "since they couldn't single him out, they made everyone else take a test too" (I'm not sure how valid that last statement is, but that's what he believes).
Can't believe I forgot this:
Brandon (Real World, Kang), 120 points: Brandon is a recovering drug addict who was drug tested as part of Real World policy. After his test, he had this exchange with an off-camera producer:
Producer: “Is there a reason why you might have coke in your system?”
Brandon: “No.”
Producer: “You definitely tested positive for coke.”
Brandon: “That's something that should be sent to a lab then, because the last thing I'm going to do is spend my money on coke while I'm out here.”
OK, as if the positive drug test wasn’t enough to prove that he had dabbled in a little nose candy while in St. Thomas, his explanation for not doing drugs was basically, “I can’t afford it.” But let’s not get too tied up with details of Brandon’s case ... THEY DRUG TEST ON MTV REALITY SHOWS!? Ronnie on Jersey Shore passed a drug test? Malik from Real World passed a drug test? CT from The Challenge passed a drug test? This must be a new policy.
Anyway, Brandon eventually fessed up to getting Charlie Sheeny while he was out: “The night before my drug test, the girl grabs me and drags me into the bathroom and we did a bump. This island was hands down the biggest test of my character. I kind of expected more out of myself. I am sorry to those that I let down. If it means I have to go home, I have to go home.”
He did have to go home (100 points). And when he told his boy Swifty he was leaving, Swifty dropped a sneaky insight into their life on St. Thomas: “I see you turn it down nonstop. Nonstop. All the time.” Wait, what? The Real World cast is getting plied with cocaine “nonstop”? People are offering cocaine to a group of people being trailed by a production crew 24/7? None of this makes any sense. What the hell is happening down there?
Anyway, he decided to have one last night out and got all sobby while saying good-bye to Swifty (20 points). I got a little sobby myself realizing that this whole thing has ruined the reunion. I won’t be able to enjoy it because I'll spend the entire episode feverishly evaluating how cocainey Brandon is. I might just skip it and save myself that kind of stress.
Swifty (Real World, House), 20 points: Swifty got all man-sad when Brandon was leaving (20 points). I got all man-sad when I found out that Swifty has a personal website with more content than Grantland. My favorite part about his site is that he lists three different e-mail addresses: one for booking, one for general inquiries, and one for fans.
C’mon, Swifty, give up the charade; we all know all three of them go right to your phone.
Trey and Laura (Real World, Simmons), 5 points: Trey found himself in the classic Real World “I flew in my girl from home to spend some time with the girl at the Real World house who I have been sleeping with for the past few months” scenario. It didn’t go well. He got in a fight with the girl back home (5 points), broke the heart of the girl in the house, and proved himself to be the worst consoler in the history of mankind:
Sobbing, Broken-Hearted Roommate Laura: “I’m sorry, Trey, I have to excuse myself for a little bit.”
Trey, the Worst Consoler in the History of Mankind: “Will you stop? Seriously?”
Sobbing, Broken-Hearted Roommate Laura: [Unable to speak through the sobbing]
Trey, the Worst Consoler in the History of Mankind: “This is ridiculous. You want me to walk away?”
Sobbing, Broken-Hearted Roommate Laura: “Go.”
Trey, the Worst Consoler in the History of Mankind: “OK.”
Trey, she didn’t want you to walk away, dude. They never want you to walk away.
