He story is almost as limp as his wrists.
So he comes off as gay to you? Interesting...
Funny though cause isn't his twitter name now BrutallyMTV or something? I saw LaToya tweet at him.

He doesn't strike me as gay. To me, he sends off this impression that he is one of those annoying people who try so hard to fit in that they end up having vapor personalities like he does anything that he thinks other people might think is cool but has to do it to excess to try prove himself (the ears, the tats, the drugs). People like that end up annoying the **** out of me, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt even though my first impression is he has no sense of a core self whatsoever.
I don't think he is necessarily gay but he is putting forth a very masculine appearance, with his tattoos, his body modification, his stories from his childhood and even his Internet screen names. Whereas if you look at his body language (which is harder to control) in that video, it is very feminine.

It's not like he's Ryan(FM) lmao. And are we seriously tripping over screen names...

And while we're on the subject, I will have to agree with FishHooks' analysis. (surprisingly)
Thanks to Andy Denhart at RealityBlurred for the link below to a revealing article about Brandon Kane. Is MTV’s Real World Bad Boy Brandon Kane Actually From Southie? Here are the first few paragraphs...
In Massachusetts, representing your neighborhood and establishing where you’re from is like a badge of honor. But often people claim they were born and raised in places they don’t actually hail from. Branding yourself in order to create a character can paint a bad picture for a neighborhood, based on how a person acts, especially if that person were to represent a place already plagued by a negative past, fueled with drug use and organized crime—like South Boston. Even worse would be to do it on national television. That could be what is happening with MTV’s newest reality star, Brandon Kane.

a place already plagued by a negative past, fueled with drug use and organized crime—like South Boston.
Having lived in South Boston, I can say it is nothing like it was in the 80's. Heck, it is turning into a yuppie haven with gentrification slowly blurring the lines between the old neighborhoods and new condos on the waterfront. A&E is doing a reality series about just that - Southie Rules. Anyway, Brandon does look like a suburbanite mall rat.
I agree it's a second attempt at the Joey kovar storyline it didn't work then why should it work now...MTV has really killed this show it's really hard to find interesting kids now for this but not impossible yes I realize MTV has to roll with what's fresh and current at the time but it's resurrected castmembers each season. If you notice go back past few seasons they cast kids that look like celebrities I do believe this is on purpose MTV know's what it's doing. Jemmye for ex: looks just like Emma Stone. How long is MTV going to make drunk college kids famous.
That's an insult to Emma Stone.
Agreed, I don't see it.
Now there's some controversy on Brandon....people are saying he's not really from Boston and he made up this whole Southie persona fake accent in all just to get on the show. I wouldn't put it past anyone nowadays in their 20's to do this. These kids aren't dumb when it comes to that they know how to get famous now. Any idiot can put up a video and become famous, it's sickening. I wouldn't be surprised if MTV put him up to this. We live in a celebrity obsessed microwave fame society right now. Build them up just to crush them down how long will people get exploited just for minimal fame is the question?

There's a video that was posted somewhere on this board I think. He stated he grew up in Quincy & went to school there, but ended up living with his grandma in Southie or something...I don't remember. But I don't think he made up anything honestly 0_o If anything, they casted him to share his story on addiction and being homeless & now recovering, not the fact that he lied about where he grew up (whether he's lying or not).
Yeah honestly to me, I think a lot of people are misreading Brandon and already writing him off as an attention seeker who has too many problems. I may not be into the same stuff he's into and I don't drink and have never done drugs, but there are some things I could relate to him with what he was saying. He's not "looking for attention," he's lonely. He's already looking at the situation like "It's day one and everyone's paired off already, how is this better?" He wants to fit in but is essentially telling himself that he's not going to instead of letting it actually happen later on, hence why he had all that stuff to say about Trey and was drinking when he said he didn't want to drink that much. Could I be wrong? Of course I could be, but I've had similar feelings that's he's had, minus all the stuff that really messed his life up.
He wants to fit in but is essentially telling himself that he's not going to instead of letting it actually happen later on
Sounds like a self-fulfilling prophecy to me :/
I have a feeling he'll either end up like Frank because of how he doesn't fit in, or be like Joey K because of his drug problems.
or like Vanilla Ice because his rap is stolen :victory:
???? I don't get it. I know who Vanilla Ice is and everything, but what does that have to do with Brandon?

I would feel kinda left out if I was him because everyone made it pretty obvious who they were interested in getting to know after a few hours.
I think it is wrong to throw this guy in there..who is obviously going to be alone and the black sheep. Then he is an addict yet, who is barely in recovery. Also, he was obviously trying to fit in already..because he knows he is going to be the black sheep. Which ended up making him look even worse. They could have at least gotten someone who wasn't an addict.

In fact, if he was actually in serious recovery a large Real World house stocked with tons of booze in a vacation hotspot is the last place he needs to be.
Well the roommates didn't know where they were going when they signed up for the show, he probably had no idea he was going to the Virgin Islands with lots of booze and partying. He probably thought he was gonna be in a different place, more of a Brooklyn-type season or something. But the casting people obviously put him on this season on purpose, so I don't think that was cool.

Who would think that RW is not going to be filmed somewhere that there will be drunken drama?
Seriously? Who would think that RW is not going to be filmed somewhere that there will be drunken drama?
Well I know that obviously most places/seasons are filled with drunken drama, but he maybe he thought he'd be in a place that wasn't so much drunken drama like Brooklyn or DC, those seasons had hardly any drunken drama that I recall, with a couple exceptions. But if you're going to sign up for RW at all, you should be open to any type of environment, drinking or no drinking, and I don't think BMP should have cast a recovering addict in the Virgin Islands, he would've been better in a season with 8 people (so he had a better chance at having a partner) in a different location, possibly, like Brooklyn or DC.

It has nothing to do with location. A location does not cause drunken drama; the roommates cause drunken drama.
I feel bad for him because he just seemed sad and depressed on the first episode.
I feel bad for him because he just seemed sad and depressed on the first episode.
I feel bad for anyone in his life, it must be exhausting if he is actually like that in real life.
moobs in second pic
haha Foreshadowing of episode 1? "I can't compete with these guys and their bodies..."
