Real World: New Orleans - Season Finale

I always find the finale of every Real World to be drab and depressing. I might watch this one though.

The end of a great season but now it's time for Cutthroat. :D

The finales are always so sad :(.

SO excited to see Ryan at the house again :) Makes this season go out with a bang. To be honest, all these roommates are so unlikeable (with the exception of Ryan and Knight) that I couldn't care about seeing them leave.

I hated Jemmye, and yes Buck, I think he's the only one with some sort of personality. He seems like a pretty cool guy.

I didn't like Ryan one bit this season, I wish they wouldn't have brought him back. I must also question once again, Why is Sahar still with this guy???

IDK about you guys, but I felt like McKenzie has developed so much from a bad character to a loving character. I love her passion towards animals, she is very cool in my own opinion. Also the Real World is promoting Cutthroat very well right now with the promos. My top 4 castmates to end the season: 1. Knight 2. McKenzie 3. Ashlee 4. Jemmye

Do they really need a commercial with 8 minutes left? These hour-long episodes seemed to go SO MUCH SLOWER than other hour-long shows. Just get it over with already.

That was a pretty sad finale. On the plus side, the new trailer for Cut Throat looked good!

I'm watching this right now. Ryan is such an annoying human being. I'd put him right up there with he-who-shall-not-be-named.

I really, really, [B][I]really[/I][/B] thought I'd despise this season, and specifically, the character of Jemmye. The first few minutes of her footage from Ep 1 just seemed like she belonged with the Vegas cast instead of this one...but honestly, Jemmye was probably one of the best cast members since....I can't even remember when! Thumbs up on the season! Good stuff.

I personally can't wait to see what Joel McHale has to say about Ryan poking Eric's crotch before proceeding to the bedroom to get on the bed with Knight and put his arm around him.

Last 25 minutes of this episode (post-bathtub scene) were so boring. Great season overall, but Cutthroat can't come soon enough. [QUOTE]I'm watching this right now. All 3 were drama-starting pranksters who got kicked off. Not defending their actions or morals, but for TV I'd rather watch them. It's the Real World, not the Duggars.

It has been one of the best seasons I have ever seen! Amazing job! Jemmye is now in my top 5 Real World cast members ever (which includes Ayiiia, Coral, Svetlana, and Paula during her season). I hope Vegas could be just as good!

I must say that this season of the Real World New Orleans ranks as one of my favorites, (the original New Orleans season being my most favorite). I only have one (or, two) problems with this season and that is Ashlee and Eric. It amazes me that out of all of the people that try out for the Real World, that the casting directors could not find two more people that have more of a story to offer to the viewers other than wanting to be on the radio or do comedy. In my opinion, both of these characters were a big dud to the season. I think that a pair of pretty eyes and a nice pair of lips got them cast...just goes to show what happens when they pick based on looks and not personality/background. I think had Ashlee and Eric been replaced with interesting and intriguing cast members....this season could have been absolutely amazing.

It's all based on what the editors choose to show us. From random clips shown at the end of the finale, it seems like many pranks were started by Eric. Being into comedy, he's probably a big jokester and a lot of fun...and this probably came out during his auditions. But, unfortunately, the editors decided not to show any of it, I guess. As for Ashlee, I'm sure it's the same story. She probably had a lot more to offer but it didn't make the final cut. In my humble opinion, had the editors evened out the screentime a bit and had a little less of Ryan vs. Preston and drunk Jemmye getting upset with Knight from week to week, we would have had the chance to get to know Eric and Ashlee and perhaps feel differently on if they are "boring" or not.

I got a chance to check out some dailies and eric was pulling a few pranks. He scared preston and marty so bad one day, preston jumped, screamed like a girl, and kicked eric in the mouth (accidentally)

I agree with you Buck. I guess it really does have a lot to do with the editing but I just find it kind of annoying that the editors can't seem to bring out each and every character. They couldn't quite seem to do it with 7 and now we have 8 each season. Each season always has a character that leaves me wondering how in the world that person was picked to be on the real world. It's just an opinion, I do not dislike these characters. I just wish they had more to offer.
