I think this episode, from what I saw and paid attention to, was my a really great episode. I liked it better than the Preston/Ryan drama.
This episode was amazing! Jemmey reminded me of Paula in her season..maybe thats why i love her so much!
Jemmye talking to her mom about it made me cry. Her mom is such a sweet lady.
This was a fantastic episode! This season is seriously so amazing.

McKenzie made me like her this episode. NEXT EPISODE looks insane! Who fought, who threw the lamp. I wasn't payin attention clearly. Do you think this episode also increased in ratings.
I think this season is getting better and better. I wouldn't be shocked for high ratings once again. :D

This is my favorite episode so far. It was very powerful. Jemmye is a strong girl and i admire her for that.
Good episode, the middle was kinda boring, where each room mates keeps repeating what happened to each other, but the start and end were really good. The scene at the end where they all hugged was really emotional. /tear Ryan was pretty funny a couple times. From an editing point of view, I don't know why they showed the two telephone calls from Knight's friend, it was pointless and had nothing to do with the storyline. I assumed that he would come over and start some drunken ruckus, but nothing happened.

Wow watched it twice and still have the same effect.
Wow watched it twice and still have the same effect.
That's exactly what I was thinking. I still cried again when Jemmye called her mom to tell her about the abuse.
Loved this episode. Jemmye <3
a drunken pity party=downer
Oh. My. God. This might be one of my favorite Real World episodes EVER. This is exactly how the Real World should be! Some party, some drama, some underlying issues... It definitely changed my mind about Jemmye!

Mckenzi, Jemmye, Preston, Ryan and Knight all have some serious issues.
McKenzie was spending alot of time with Grant. You guys think anything is gonna happen? She was critizing Jemmye and Knight about their relations. Then again, this Grant guy is a charmer and he's a good-looking fella.

And I def agree - the episodes have been a good mix between party/drama/real issues so they've all been very interesting... The episode was really sad and hard to watch - poor Jemmye. What a terrible situation...I'm glad she finally got the help she needed and I hope it has all worked out for her. Also - surprised MTV didn't do a PSA about domestic violence. It totally would've been appropriate.
I cannot stand to watch whiney drunks on TV spilling their issues out. I guess I am fed up with that sort of stuff in my own life. I would far rather watch drunks fight it out over stuff we can see happening as opposed to stuff from their past.
I can't believe I didn't notice this until Joel McHale brought it to my attention...but I found it hilarious that after Ryan complained about what Jemmye's ******** looked like and how "gross" it was, he then proceeded to get inside a closet.

I don't give a **** if they go to bars and get into stupid, childish fights over hook-ups, dirty looks, or anything concerning that idiot Ryan. Jemmye's issue is a deeply-seeded real life problem that ended up resurfacing because of her new environment. It's exactly the type of thing that works best on The Real World (and in the past, Road Rules). You didn't see Pedro get aids, but it served his story well and worked to educate young people in America at the time. We didn't see Anne's friend commit suicide, but we watched her deal and grieve through it (RR: Northern Trail). There's so many other examples of this same type of scenario and most of the stories go down as some of the best episodes in RW/RR history. I mean...if you want to see some drunk fights that mean nothing, I guess you should probably watch Jersey Shore or I Love Money. Even though The Real World isn't exactly what it used to be, I still like to believe that there's occasional meaning to it. And in Jemmye's situation, I feel for her. I really do.

Beacuse running away from a a ******** screams straight ;)
I didn't see the Pedro season, but from I can glean, he never rolled around on the floor drunk crying he wanted to go home because he had AIDS. There is a difference IMO between telling one's story in a level-headed constructive way and telling one's story in a destructive way. I wouldn't care if they never got drunk and never got into a fight, but when they do, I would rather it be about something the viewers can judge on their own. A recent example I can think of is in Brooklyn. While alcohol was not involved, for what reason did Ryan come to hate Sarah so much? Wasn't shown or explained in such a way that the viewers could really judge whether or not Ryan was justified in the passion with which he spoke out negatively about Sarah---that would have been far more interesting than the stupid and not entertaining rat prank episode. In Cancun, on the other hand, viewers at least got to see why Joey and Ayiia hated each other.
I haven't cried over an episode of the real world since Brooklyn when Ryan found out he was going back to Iraq. Before that, I honestly don't think it's been since Danny's mom passed away on Austin. This is definitely turning out to be a great season. I just wish they showcased more Ashlee, Sahar, and Eric. It seems like all the episodes have been either about Ryan, Jemmye, Preston & Ryan, Knight, Jemmye & Knight, Kenzie, Preston, Ryan & Preston again, and then Jemmye and Knight again with Kenzie thrown in, haha.
