I loved it. way better than D.C. so far. I can tell that Ryan will bring the drama. MAYBE this season will pick up for D.C. and MTV will renew the contract to at least 30.
I just remembered something. Lol. When Jemmye got mad at Ryan for saying something along the lines of "you're just asking to be thrown on a couch and gorilla ****ed for wearing that" he was right. That sounds like something I would say as I am a very blunt person, lol. He was completely in the right, she dresses like a ***** but I love her. But she doesn't need to get mad because first off, that was a compliment. He was sort of saying she's attractive if you think about it. Just in a really weird off color way. Second, if you dress like that you have to expect to be told stuff like that duh!

He basically said that she was asking to be raped because of the clothes she wore. You really agree with that? If so, you are a sad individual. I don't care if a woman was naked walking in the street. It's wrong to FEEL LIKE the woman is asking to get raped. Sorry buddy, Ryan's comment wasn't a compliment AT ALL.
I had low LOW expectations for this season - but all in all I thought this was a very decent premiere. I think this season will at least be better than Cancun for sure (although I cant think of a season that was worse, lol). Some thoughts:
Ryan - as soon as they showed him and he started talking, I was like oh great, another Puck with better hair - then as the episode progressed I realize just how much of a DB he has - and yes I am almost positive he is in the closet or dont fully realize he's not straight.
Preston - I know alot of guys like him, so I'm use to that type of personality, it doesnt bother me. But I can see how some would find him abrasive. I think he's hilarious.
Eric - what a nice guy - I agree with the poster who said "show more of him" because I am intrigued - and he's the only guy in the house who is even remotely close to being cute.
Knight - not sure what I think about him - didnt show him enough. I did not care for the lead-in though. Like I'm sure he's about more than just his prescription drug addiction - if I were him I would have been pissed about that intro.
McKenzie - I'm really mixed with her - she's a beautiful girl (definitely the prettiest in the house) and she seems nice - but the whole not wanting to room with a guy thing kind bugged me - live a little, girl! I'm thinking she may be the next Ruthie? Looks like she definitely loves to drink to excess.
Ashlee - did they show her for more than a few seconds? I'm not recalling anything about her at this time. Next Baya perhaps?
Sahar - very pretty girl - didn't see too much of her tonight either. Just enough to intrigue me.
Jemmye (sp?) - a fellow Mississippian - bout time! I am amazed that two people from our little state made it on to the Real World within 5 or 6 seasons of each other. Oh and to the rude people talking about her accent, we cannot help it - thats the way most of us talk. Anyways I adore her, I think she's spunky!
Like I said, very good premiere. I don't want to get my hopes up, because I started out liking DC as well then I started falling asleep during each episode. However, I must say, this cast is nowhere near as good (or as attractive) as the first RW New Orleans. I seriously doubt it will compare. But as of right now, I think it will be the best season since Brooklyn.
The last time I checked, "you're asking to be raped in that skirt" isn't a compliment. Infact, it's a terribly rude and WRONG thing to say to someone.
Agreed - that was a really s****y thing to say I don't care if he was joking or "complimenting" her.

well by compliment I mean...no unnatractive women you would think atleast is going to get raped...

Are you serious right now? How old are you?
There is a difference between saying to a girl, "You are dressed like a *****," and "You are asking to be raped in that outfit."
Both are offensive, but one is more extreme than the other (can you guess which one?).
Just like there is a difference between being honest and being an ******* -- and we know which one Ryan was tonight.
If Ryan, like, says, like, "like" one more time.. I'll, like, scream.
Just like Jemmye can't help the way she talks, he can't help the way he talks. I'm not from Arizona, but where I am from everyone tends to say "like" a lot, myself included. We don't even realize we're doing it most of the time.
Also, I'm not mad at Ryan for freaking out after that guy kissed his neck. I wouldn't want anyone I don't know kissing my neck, that's really creepy.
Although I'm defending him, Ryan really is getting on my nerves so far. I really don't like that he freaked out over having to room with Knight and I really don't like what he said to Jemmye. Implying that anyone is asking to be raped is just...do I even have to say it?
This is a good season so far. But ALL the cast members are SOO ANNOYING. I don't know if I can put up with them past 2 more episodes. I all have things I don't like about all of them.
Great premiere, but my only problem is that most of the drama in the trailer was in the premier, I know the producers don't put everything out on the table in the premier but I'm a bit worried.
Cool premiere. Pretty sad all the people on here trashing Ryan- he's energetic and speaks his mind, but doesn't deserve half the things people are saying. Guess it beats all the people who hate the real world, yet feel the desire to watch and post about it.
If you look at the "drama" that happened their first night out, it was started by Preston by overreacting to Ryan's comment, and then preceding with a "5 minute rule" in order to cause Ryan to boil over, knowing that Ryan is very sensitive+hyper, and would want to immediately resolve the miscommunication, which drove him nuts.
Anyway the season looks like it'll be good - half a house of drama, the other half, boring people...and Jersey Shore 2 looked amazing.
This episode was so awesome I couldn't believe when it was over that it was indeed over. Ryan Leslie is annoying man. Like I can't stand him after the first 30 minutes but before that he was major cool.
The opening credits were kinda dull. Other than that it was a cool premiere.
Ryan is hands down my favorite. He's complicated, layered, dramatic, energetic, fun, crazy...whatever, he's entertaining. The premiere would have been so boring had it not been for him. A lot of the roomies are kind of boring... I was hoping they'd be more interesting. There's still time though.
IA Xeri99, Jersey Shore 2 looks so freaking amazing. It had me laughing like crazy.
I loved the premiere... I like the intro this season too. Ryan made the show. Theres drama next week between Ryan and Knight as well. Ashlee seems nice! All of the girls are beautiful. I like everyone so far, but Ryan is nuts. I'm looking forward to the rest of the season, this should be a good one!
Ryan vs. Preston is gonna be the next great real world feud along the same lines as all the other feuds:
Ayiiya vs. Joey
Parisa vs. Tricia
Brooke vs. Jenn
Svetlana vs. Tyler
Theo vs. Tonya
Mike vs. Coral
Puck vs. Pedro...
you know how it goes...lol
I really enjoyed this premiere! It was actually much better than I expected. Preston is my favorite so far! Ryan...umm I think I have had enough of him already.

Preston needed 5 minutes to compose himself and to give Ryan those 5 minutes to think about the stupid thing he just said. You don't think Preston should have reacted to a comment like "You guys (gays) touch me and I feel like killing MYSELF" ? What kind of sh-- is that? Ryan must be dealing with his own closeted gay issues or something to react that way and also just that whole gay club experience. He was having more fun there then at the straight club.

I think of it as a typical dumb thing someone says when they are very worked up, stressed feeling (over a girl), and drunk..he didn't really mean it. I can see Preston reacting if you took the words literally without everything considered, but they were on two different wavelengths at the time. It's a dumb little incident and not worth all the hate Ryan is getting. People should give the dude a chance, at least he's interesting.
Just watched the premiere again and Jemmye's response to the trailer trash comment was absolutely hilarious. I actually LOL'd
I cannot agree with this more, when I was watching that, I was laughing SOOOO hard!!

:laugh3:
I love Jemmye!!
I have to say, you guys; I loved the premiere!! Hands down the best since Brooklyn. One of the better premieres in what feels like a long time. It left me wanting more and feeling good and hopeful that this season will be a good one. I feel like the cast is perfect- yes, even Ryan for the sole purpose of drama-, NOLA is perfect, Jemmye and Preston and Knight and Sahar and Ashlee and Eric and Mckenzie seem like cool folks, and I'm just thrilled that we're finally getting what seems like another great season of The Real World. FINALLY!!!
Can't wait to tune in to watch this season as it unfolds and learn more about each of the roommates.
Nice job, BMP! ;)
