Okay, I have to thank the editor who decided to use the soundbite of Leroy saying "I seen you with a **** in your hand" as the soundbite in the ending credits. I laughed for an inappropriate amount of time after that.
Yep, lol.
Seriously. Dustin is sooo delusional. He needs to know what he did is ok. I don't think he's gay for doing what he did but just own the **** up to it!

Thought they nailed it when they said Dustin was obsessed with Heather to try to prove he wasn't gay.
It seems like he's trying to please both sides - those who have no problem with his past, and those who do. In addition, he isn't honest, or is confused about his own opinion of the matter.
I feel like Dustin and Heather are a good match in a bad way. They seem to have the exact same opinions and never disagree. Take each others sides no matter what, so there's nothing to break them up. Not even gay ****. If that doesn't kill a relationship, nothing will
I could see them getting married - they've stuck together through a lot and seem compatible.
I think she's set her long term goal far higher...
That's harsh. Is he a stepping stone to a better boyfriend?
That's harsh. Is he a stepping stone to a better boyfriend?
I was thinking "life partner" not boyfriend. "Boy friend" sounds strangely high school or teen oriented to me. I meet a great many young women in their mid-twenties to mid-thirties in my business. Many have told me they what they are looking for in a long-term relationship. Economic potential, gene pool, cultural background, profession, and education are all serious checklist items. I expect that Heather has her own version.
I was thinking the reunion was going to be intense. Pretty much knew what each cast member was going to say before they said it. But I don't want to take away the fact that it was a great season. Thanks for reviving the series Real World 25.

To me, someone who stays with someone (who obviously loves them), until better options open up is pretty rotten. That's something you do with jobs, houses, and cars maybe, not people. I'm not judging her at all, by the way, just the speculative comment you posted about her (if it were actually true).

My record, however, is much better than double the best batting average in the major leagues thus far this season. For Heather, I think her behavior is about living fully her experience and exploiting the income opportunities which are better for bookings with Dustin in her life than without him. Then there is the sex... Heck, as long as she's living her 15 minutes of fame, the more infamous she can be, the better deal she'll have. At some point, she will likely decide it's time to grow up.

Prior to this she had 2 long term relationships and now she is acting inconsistent with that past record with Dustin. She strings him along and there seems to be a lot more Dustin-Heather or just Dustin bookings than just Heather bookings. I would add that she also has said she went to a school for rich kids even though she isn't--that's bound to have rubbed off on her. She is wanting the money the other kids had and she is probably relishing in the attention/acceptance. Nany and Leroy are the only ones who seem to have real jobs so the others are just using this as their cash cow and are going to be in a world of financial hurt before they know it (except maybe Dustin whom I suspect may have/will get some backroom cash under the table deal with Fratpad)
I don't think Heather is stringing him along, nor do I think he is using her to prove he's not gay. I think she had to wait awhile to do club bookings because she actually went back to school to finish her degree, just like Mike who is just now reaping the rewards. She wants to work behind the scenes in production. I found out Dustin owns a bar in Louisiana, OB's, so he has a job himself.

Of course there is a chance they may break up in the future, that is what relationships are about. But I think she is with him because she cares for him not for bookings.

That's how these RW romances work.

Nany has a job. Big difference.

Not sure the reference. I think of it like Ryan and Baya. They were all cute and coy about it for awhile. When he came back home on leave they became facebook official, and a few weeks later when he was back to Iraq for several months, she dumped him.
Clearly you are a newer viewer... Let me google that for you
The NY Times article about their wedding makes me think they are a little kookie. That she became an AIDS researcher after that roommate's death from it really is cool though. Clearly he had a positive impact on her.

The situation was far more complex than something so simple.
Baya did not "dump" Ryan, but that is the popular myth. The situation was far more complex than something so simple.
Okay. Ryan posted a youtube when it happened that was only up a day or two in which he said "Baya dumped me" and how he felt like she had kicked him in the teeth or put a boot in his teeth or something like that. Since people generally don't brag when they are on the losing end of something far more complex, I'll stick with "dumped" as opposed to "decided the relationship was one in which she could not commit her time and energies given the divergent interests and career paths of the two parties, and therefore withdrew from all future participation in their common romantic endeavor as a rational conclusion free of emotional considerations".

Perhaps one day I can convince Baya to sit for an open interview.

Perhaps one day I can convince Baya to sit for an open interview.
LOL. I wouldn't expect you to and it really isn't something I care about one way or the other since I do not ever expect to see either of them on TV ever again. I have heard some things and seen some little clues here and there in things others have said/tweeted/posted that lead me to believe that he is not the person behind closed doors that he puts forward to the public as being, but I guess we are all guilty of that from time to time. I just always assumed he probably overwhelmed her but not in the good sweep you off your feet sort of way--that was a lot to deal with.
I can definitely see them having a reunited season because this is the most followed cast ever (in the history of everdom!) I hope they make their presence known on The Challenges. Heather: 76,113 Nany: 74,454 Dustin: 70,352 Roylee: 57,870 Naomi: 56,715 D-Bag from Vegas: 50,543 Mike Mike: 48,903 Cooke: 38,254
How the fudge did Heather get so many Twitter followers? Did people flock to her page because of the reunion or what?
Was kind of surprised at Heather's attitude on the reunion, like when Mike asked if she thought he had a crush on her. I guess we didn't see everything that happened, but it bothers me that it was never discussed how Heather got up and kissed Mike for that dare. I honestly don't think Mike was interested in a relationship with her, and the face she made at him when he asked her that was kind of shocking.
How the fudge did Heather get so many Twitter followers? Did people flock to her page because of the reunion or what?
I don't trust these numbers as being true followers. The cast members I sometimes read the tweets of have had their volume of mentions rise some going into and since the reunion. Since there has been an almost even spike across the board for the cast, I am suspecting that somebody has gone to one of those companies that set you up with a bunch of followers for a fee--seems like they are all up about the same number--20K followers in recent weeks (Cooke with 40K followers, really? when it took Dustin almost the whole season to get that)
No CrazyHorse they didnt do that I know three of them personally. So I check there pages often. Never did I see them gain so many followers over one night. When you buy Twitter followers most services dump them on there page over night. This cast has alot of followers because it was aired after Jersey Shore. Two the cast is good friends with JS cast having met each other at the Vegas Premiere party. Adam was able to get five thousand followers in the first week due to Snooki(1 Million followers),Deena (400,000),Jenni (900,000 at that moment) promoting him. Adam proceding to promote his castmates of course and his season. They mainly have alot of followers though due to this being a awesome season cant take that from them. I mean come on a story like Dustin's? good drama. When Jersey Shore ended and the trailer first aired Leeroy,Real World,Nany were trending that whole night on Twitter.

I said I suspected somebody of doing it, and the follower packages come in smaller numbers and could be bought 1K at a time. It was a good season for sure, but they have put on an insane number of followers in a very short time at the tail end of a season where most of the big stories were come and gone. Sorry, but Cooke gets 40K followers for painting herself blue? She doesn't tweet much and doesn't seem to do appearances/interviews/podcasts and never had a ton of feature airtime and she has about the same number of followers Dustin did after months of stories, rumors leading up to and the actual Fratpad coming out episode. I just don't buy it.

In the past usually the most popular cast member would get up to 20,000 follows so seeing 74,000 is mind blowing (for a popular Real World member) and seeing high number across the board is pretty shocking/cool.

I think this was also the first time MTV posted all the cast twitter accounts from the beginning. I do not find that part of it suspicious--its the huge gains in the last couple weeks that I find suspect when the episodes were lackluster and reunion boring. Some cast members seem to have doubled or, almost trippled in Cooke's case, their number of followers in a really short period of time and they all seem to have picked up close to the same raw number of gains which makes it more suspicious to me. Maybe it is because school is out and people are more bored, but since not that many people like all the cast members, I find the symmetry in the gains a clue to something artificial going on.
Maybe it's because there was a whole segment about their twitters on the reunion.
