Real World Hollywood: Ep. 3 - The Devil Inside
Joey reveals his struggle with addiction; the roommates start their job; Dave and Kim try to establish a "friends with benefits" relationship.
The title seems quite telling. From the preview it looks as though we are going to see the worst of Joey come out this week. Joey in the Depths of Hell - w/ resident Trisha I am looking forward to the cast job at iO West. Hopefully it plays a bigger part in this season then we have seen with the mandatory play job in the last few years. The whole Contiki thing last year was practically worthless. We really only got one episode that was actually work centric. This is supposed to be the "Real World" and I expect people to work ****it! ;)
I can't wait for tonight...not only do I get ANTM but I also get RW...So much drama to come!! I feel bad for Joey because I think this could have been a great learning experience for him had he not ended up in the middle of a city that runs off of drug fueled nights...that and if he had a better roommate than Dave.

(Oh and I am taping that Carrier mini-series on PBS.) It feels a little off not having Big Brother this week.
I feel bad for Joey because I think this could have been a great learning experience for him had he not ended up in the middle of a city that runs off of drug fueled nights.
I am sure he will be fine. I really hope he gets a gig on the next season of Bravo's Work Out. He'd be perfect!

I missed the first 10 minutes of tonight's episode, but Brianna has no self-respect for herself. I cannot believe she hooked up with that vermin called "Jo-Jo." He was skeevy, old and nasty-looking! I will never be a fan of the forced group job, but improv's a lot of fun. And I thought it was funny when Greg said he didn't know who Andy **** was, to his face no less. I don't care how unprofessional it was for Greg to do that---Andy ****'s on the freaking Z-list.
I missed the first 30-40 minutes, But I am recording the rerun so I will watch it soon.
I feel bad for the guy...he has some seriously deep issues...he said he tries to spend his days working out and doing good things to keep himself busy and my heart sank for him...LOL just because i know what its like to feel like everyday sucks..and he is addicted to working out and how he looks..to the point where he wont even let himself eat some pizza???? he is extreme with everything he does you can tell...I think Brianna really did like him at first i dont think she was playing with him ...but he does make everything about himself even if he isnt meaning to..girls like attention and she isnt going to sick back and get none so he can have it all...shes going to find it somewhere else ..
I really feel for Joey. He seems like a real sweet, genuine guy. And he likes Bri. And what does Bri do? She brings home a total *******. That's pretty ******. She can't be with Joey because of his baggage, but this Jo Jo guy is not exactly Mr. Right.

Although, I understand where Bri was coming from as far as liking him at first (because he is a good looking guy) and then having second thoughts once she saw the way he acted under the influence (or releasing rage in the backyard.) Joey is definitely exhibiting all the signs of a human time bomb at this point in the season. That Jo-Jo dude was probably the biggest loser ever to be brought back to a Real World house (at least that made the air.) It does go to show a pattern with Bri and the type of person that she is attracted to at first sight. However, Joey's response to Jo-Jo was far less then endearing and made him seem quite self centered. Sure, there is probably a lot of truth in that he works inordinate amounts of time daily to look great and he eats right to try and use his body to get forward in life - but you don't actually tell people that! Modesty is truly a virtue. He needs to hop out of his Lamborghini mindset and jump into a Prius one if he plans to get a little more mileage out of his assets. I am not sure what to say about Kim and Dave. Sure, they are cute, but we know they will implode soon - so I am not investing much stock in the tryst. I guess the only entertaining part about it will be finding out which one wants out first (I have $50 on Dave.) I have been through the whole, "You love me and I hate you" spiel before and I promise you Dave (from experience) - that means......run! As for Greg, I thought the idea of dissing Andy **** was funny (as that guy is a waste) but still there is a level of common sense that must be used in order to not come off as a total ***** in daily life. Greg doesn't seem to have that "sense gene" and it just reinforced my notion of him.....and then skipping out on the mandatory performance? What a tool. You are given an opportunity like this by the fans and you decide that hooking up with some random girl is worth jeopardizing it? I am still looking forward to his departure and will welcome his replacement. Overall a very good episode. Keep them coming!
i missed what joey said to that jojo guy. what did he say? and i so agree with you bacchus on the whole kim/dave scenario. also, i couldn't help but laugh when greg said that to andy ****. i know it was way out of line, but i really can't stand mr. ****. my opinion keeps changing regarding bri. i am not to sure what to make of her, other than she needs to think higher of herself, regardless of her past.
i missed what joey said to that jojo guy. what did he say?
I wasn't commenting on Joey saying something directly to Jo-Jo, but rather what he said to Bri about looking at himself in the mirror and wondering how she could pass up such a treasure (for Blow-Jo.) That was a bit over the top and stole some of the positive strides that he had made in my eyes just minutes earlier in the episode. There is nothing worse then dealing with an "egomaniac" and that is exactly how he came off when talking to Brianna. There was no need to verbally make the comparison between himself and the other guy. All he had to do was offer up his thoughts as a friend about the guy and let Bri make the comparison on her own. It would have worked much better for him as he could have come off as sensitive and caring rather then self centered and grating. I have a sneaking suspicion things are going to get worse before they get better in Joeyland.
I feel for Joey as well, when he kept saying Joey's not gonna be here. Sounds like he has some suicidal thought's, or maybe he just need's alot of attention. Then Bri and Kim in the car and Bri says "I do play with Joey to much", and Kim says" why do you", Bri says" because it makes me feel good" What the hell! joey is probably the last guy in the world that deserve's this kind of treatment from a woman, especially with his emotional state. Hey B...are will and Parisa still together? If not I think Joey could use a good woman!!!!

When watching Kimberly and Dave last night, all I could think of was the best know phrase from the 1965–1968 CBS television series Lost In Space, "Danger, Will Robinson, danger!" (Ok, so you already know I'm from a distant generation.) I've written the following thought before, but i think it bears repeating, if only to remind myself. The Real World works best when it is a show about the cast's journey toward self-discovery. While it is easy to "love" or "hate" someone in any episode, I find it much more enlightening to suspend immediate reaction and try to put myself in that cast member's position and view the experience through their eyes. When I do this, I find that I have much more empathy for them and a much deeper appreciation that each episode is, though very cliche, a journey and not a destination. With the Sydney cast, there didn't seem much concern with personal growth other than from Kelly Anne, and it may have been more of an accidental discovery on her part than an intentional goal. With the Hollywood cast, however, I feel like there is more than one cathartic home run or touchdown in each episode, and I'm excited and find myself on the edge of my seat as a viewer. I have to think back to the Chicago season before I find another Real World that so captured what Mary Alice envisioned when she created the show, and it gives me a very warm feeling.
Hey B...are will and Parisa still together? If not I think Joey could use a good woman!!!!
Willisa is a thing of the past, but I am not too sure that Joey is Parisa's type. I was thinking more along the lines of Gregisa actually. /me runs for cover! This really does feel like a special season all around.
I am with you V1man. This really does feel like a special season all around.
agreed, I missed the first half of last nights episode but I am really enjoying this season.
bri has had a rough childhood, listen to the stuff she says in the show....pregnancy scares, stripping, being beat, being kicked out of her house, meth addiction, coke addiction, wow.............to be 20 years old and having dealt with ALL that stuff already is scary. no wonder why she has no direction.

Jojo Was A Deckface Fail He Failed Harder Than Greg Last Night Who I Fount Funny At Times Jo Jo Had The Most Lame One Liners I Have Ever Heard
It's pretty amazing how seemingly put together she is for somebody who has really been run through the mill. Considering she just stopped doing cocaine two months ago (more likely when she found out she may be cast), I doubt she's ever hit rock bottom. She sure doesn't seem to actively resist the torments of her past (eg, dancing and bad guys). It appears that she may be getting somewhere with the music now, but unless she realizes why she makes the decisions she does so that she can start making healthy ones, she'll always be in risk of ending up right back where she came from. (My Ph.d hasn't arrived in the mail yet, so take that for whatever it's worth. ;))
Here's jojo's myspace!!!!!!!! He writes a blog about Bri and the other castmates. MySpace.com - JOE JOE aka Jo Jo - 28 - Male - HOLLYWOOD / Los Angeles, CALIFORNIA - www.myspace.com/joejoepellegrino He doesn't look so bad cleaned up...but he's still a ****** bag. p.s. What's up with his profile song?
I absoutely love this season so far. I thought that Joey and Brianna "were" cute together. But Joey really does have some serious problems that he needs to work through. As far as the stuff in his childhood, and some of his adulthood I don't think that he's fully dealt with it all. So he just has it all balled up inside and when he gets angry he explodes all of his emotions. Dave should have stopped forcing him to drink when he said he used to have a proble with alcohol. Joey didn't have to take it but the tempation was probaly just to hard for him to resist. But that guy Brianna brought home was just nasty. You could tell that Joey was kinda jealous, that he was hanging all over the way he was. Secondly I don't know what she saw or wanted in JoJo, when she had Joey at home.
P.S. Why do I get the feeling that you guys found his myspace months ago and now I look like an idiot?
No Lucky....lol we didn't know about him a month ago!!! Good work! :victory:
Well, he knows about us...lol. The pictures on that Real World Hollywood blog post are taken straight off this site. I know because I cropped them and made them all black & white to create a fluid look. ;)
...Mary *Ellis* Yeah, I feel for Joey too. Deep down he seems like a good guy, but just troubled. Bri too. Great season. I like how they casted more mature people this time around. Good stuff.
...Mary *Ellis*
Thanks for the polite "fix." Someday I will take the time to proofread what comes off my fingers when speed typing. To much time has passed for me to make the edit in my earlier post. Apologies to all.

I do like Bri, and she has a bangin' bod...But I wish she would chill on the stripper wear. I mean, a bikini top in a bar??? She would look just as beautiful in things less revealing. Greg is such a weirdo.....with the things in the bed?? (Um, yeah cause everyone else had crap and Greg had $100 bills placed on his bed??) Come on! My heart broke for Joey and I REALLY hope we get to see him overcome his addictions and come out on top in the end!! Oh, Sarah and Kim....get off of your high horses and quit acting like you have to save Bri. You're not doing it in a condusive way....you are being judgemental and *****y!
I really wanted Bri and Joey to have some type of "romance" I think they would be so much cuter than Dave and Kimberly. If Joey wasn't so nuts. imo
I really wanted Bri and Joey to have some type of "romance" I think they would be so much cuter than Dave and Kimberly. If Joey wasn't so nuts. imo
Same here. But Bri said something about his drinking turned her off. Which really is a big turn off, but I would have like to seen them spend a litte more time together.
Ya no kidding when i was watching one of the last episodes and she walked away from the camera on the street and it showed her whole outfit...my mouth dropped i was speechless ...LOLLLLLLL I dont know how she has the guts to wear that stuff..actually i dont even know why she would want to...it doesnt even flatter her body...those black stripper shorts she wears makes her look like she has no ***....LOL she looks so much cutter in a pair of pj's then all that junk..she just doesnt need it.
I don't see why she would want to wear the stuff she wear's either. Remember that dress/shirt/rag she wore when her and Kim got into it? And when JoJo was over, those pink "shorts" she wore looked like underwear.
