I would like to see a season where no cast members were allowed to smoke. Season 9 of ANTM did this.

Yes, withdrawls are a *****!
Topics that haven't been covered or should be covered again: - Someone with OCD - Someone with psychic abilities - Someone who was or is homeless - A recovering drug/meth addict - Someone with cancer ( I realize that this was partially covered with Kevin from B2NY, but it would be interesting to have someone struggling with cancer on the show) - Someone with a severe disability - Someone who may have had a limb amputated - An extreme racist who is unwilling to change - A bi-racial person that hates one side of their culture - An adopted person - Someone who recently found out they had HIV - Someone with schizophrenia - A reformed sex-addict (may include prostitutes) - Someone who recently immigrated to the United States - An anti-social narcissist - A right wing conservative/ traditionalist - Someone who is considered a little person - A guy struggling with anorexia
These would likely not happen, IMO. Homeless, possibly, but is associated with shame by the people who experience it, not too many individuals would want to announce it. And if I could give BMP any advice, it would be to not seek out someone with schizophrenia. That is asking to harm someone, as the symptoms experienced by a person with schizpphrenia would be intensified by the situation, and could easily turn into physical violence. I have worked for several years with these populations and I honestly think I could not watch someone with serious mental illness put themselves in this high stress situation.
Will the real world ever have: -An Asian Male -An atheist and a Christian -An Overweight person -A racist person or close minded -A Homophobic -Someone with a mental disorder -Someone with Diabetes -A person who has or had Depression -Obesity (didn't put it with overweight, because I think there is a difference) -Someone who "hates" their own culture or Religion -Even a person considered a "dork" or "geek" I will love to see the Real World include different stories from my list. Those are issues that we face today, and no one likes to speak about it, and be real. When will society "stop being polite, and start getting REAL"?
Paula I think was considered depressed, among other things (eating disorder, battered woman). Having her on RW brought up ethical debates in the media. Is it fair to exploit a person with problems for TV? Or, since the show is The Real World, should these problems be addressed because they do occur? For me, I don't think it's for the best to put people who are at the peak of having serious problems on the show. It makes things uncomfortable for the rest of the cast and the viewers. And sometimes it's dangerous as well. Don't get me wrong, I do like that RW addresses different issues. I prefer the older seasons or more serious seasons. I'm not asking for the dealing with really big real life situations to go away. But I think it's better when a person who has serious issues has addressed their problems and has them somewhat under control - at least enough to be able to have a bit of a stable routine in life, instead of completely struggling or being unpredictable. Paula was a mess and hadn't gotten any help prior to the show. I do understand BMP claims she told them she'd ended things with her abusive boyfriend and ended up deceiving them, but still, it was uncomfortable. I'm glad she did end up doing the show, since she did get some help. Same for Joey, however, no one in the house should have had to go through that night when he was extremely drunk and wild. Those girls were really scared of him. Frankie reportedly was trying out for Starting Over, so she was interested in getting help, but they didn't cast her on there and asked her to try for RW instead. Atheist - I think Paula was considered an atheist? Christian - a number of those, most notably, Jon from LA. Not everyone who was a Christian (or who believed in Jesus but wasn't super religious) wore it on their sleeve, so to speak. Racist or homophobic - there have been a few people who have sort of been borderline racist or homophobic, or at least, some people who have had views that been negative or wrongful stereotypes of groups of people. Or there have been people who have made certain comments that were offensive. Dork/geek - I'm sure a couple of people from the shows could be put in these categories by viewers of the show. But maybe you mean someone who is more of a stereotypical type. It's an interesting show that has dealt with several of these issues. Psychic abilities - I guess this wouldn't completely count, but it's the closest thing I've seen of it on RW. Coral, during her season, said her mom was an astrologer and that she learned how to read Tarot Cards from her. Though I don't think she hated one side of her race, Nicole was a biracial woman who strongly identified with one side of her race and seemed to have a little bit of an issue with considering herself biracial.
Lamb Chop, season 20 was originally Back 2 LA, but instead subtitled Hollywood. Its the same idea though. RW 1-NY Rw 10- B2NY RW 2-Los Angeles RW 20-Hollywood
Haha.. How did I not get that? I guess I'm a little slow. Thanks though! And they have had a few homophobics before, haven't they? Wasn't Stephen from Denver a homophobe?

In Las Vegas Alton was slightly homophobic. Brynn had issues with that because she said that her dad is gay.
Oh yeah I remember that and then I think he eventually began to accept it.
Oh- I forgot to mention earlier, but I am pretty sure Kate from Brooklynn called herself a geek many times, at least on here. It just wasn't the main trait of her character for BMP.

Personally, I don't like or dislike her. To change things up a bit, Brooklyn didn't have the internet winner right? Why is that? Anybody have any idea?
To change things up a bit, Brooklyn didn't have the internet winner right? Why is that? Anybody have any idea?
They are alternating part season/ serious season. I just think the casting may be different. DC didn't have the inernet contest either, so there will probably be a season 24 internet contest. I just think the casting is different for each season.

i hate the internet thing.
i hate the internet thing.
You're gonna have to be a bit more specific...
So who all from Real World has been from the same town as you? Devyn (Brooklyn) was from KC, Frankie (San Diego, R.I.P.) was also from KC. David Leech from Road Rules: Viewer's Revenge was from here too.
Shane was from Raleigh. I am close to Raleigh.
JD (Brooklyn), Pedro (San Francisco), and Melissa (Miami) are all from Miami. I don't know if there was anymore. Rachel (Campus Crawl) currently lives in Miami, I believe but I don't know if she is from somewhere else.
So who all from Real World has been from the same town as you?
If you guys actually go here, we've already covered that.
No one I can think of is from my specific town, but today I found out that Emilee works (or worked) in the Hooters thats about 5 mintues from me.
I don't really know anyone who was from Atlanta. But I know Ace lives here now and Cohuuta works with him at his bar.
When was the last time that BMP cast an 18 year old? I'll be 18 next year and I'll probably audition. lol.
The closest one to me would be a tossup between Will (Hollywood) and Andre (NY)...they both lived about an hour away. Lindsay (Seattle) and I did go to the same school though, so I guess you could say we lived in the same town for four years.
When was the last time that BMP cast an 18 year old? It'll give you all of the info you asked for (and more). To answer in short though, Paris was the last season to feature an 18 year old.
I guess for me the closest would be Jasmine from Friendswood which is near houston...which is like 4 1/2 hours from here, LOL.
To answer in short though, Paris was the last season to feature an 18 year old.
Incorrect, wasn't Charlie from San Diego 18 during filming?
Incorrect, wasn't Charlie from San Diego 18 during filming?
MTV says so, but his birthdate compared to the filming dates suggest otherwise. SAN DIEGO (Filming dates August-December 2003): Charlie: 5/4/1984 (19)
MTV says so, but his birthdate compared to the filming dates suggest otherwise.
Oh okay, never mind molds. You were correct. :)
