I liked Mike's storyline highlight of the episode.
Erica and Josh both need to stop pursuing music because it will NEVER happen for either of them.
Did anyone notice that Andrew and Ty were nowhere to be found in this episode?
Mike's brother is like.. "Who's gay?" oops.
Hahah Brilliant. "My brother isn't gay, he's bi." Obviously it's hard for Mike's brother to admit it. Sometimes it's easier to say BI than GAY.
Although this episode (and for the most part this season) was boring, I did like Mikes mother. I am not sure if she put up the "accepting" act because of the camera's or if she is truly genuine about her son's decision.
Ericka seems like one of the coolest chicks in the house. I feel like she had really bad PMS for 2 weeks and the film and editing crew dwelled on that. For the first few episodes she was in the background and now she is big focus. I honestly don't see her being that whiney and clingy usually. I feel like we missed something with her. (And Ashley calling her spoiled last week was not cool).
I actually feel bad for Josh. He really can't sing. He's the type of guy who goes into karoke bars, sings, thinks he's the *** and than gets boos off the stage.
Sorry to tell you Josh... You aren't good. Your voice is like finger nails scratching a chalk board.

You dont notice the production crew after a few hours.
I'm very confused. The majority of the episode was about Mike admitting that he was gay not bi (I think?). But in the after show he states that he thinks Callie is hot, and has always wanted to hook up with her. It is also strongly implied that he and Ashley had sex (what the?). So wouldn't he still be considerred bi, even though he prefers men at the moment?

I agree to some extent... I heard some castmembers are very cautious with the camera's for the first few weeks. That's why some cast members have make-up on 24/7. I am not necessarily saying cast members from this season, but I know that was the case with some castmembers in previous seasons.
So for a parent, who's visiting, it must be difficult not to notice a camera and mic in your face. If it can take some castmember's getting used to all the camera's for the first few weeks (who applied to be on the show and have their lives taped) it must be more difficult to visitors.

I think the episode was more of understanding who he is as a person. He might still like girls, but at the time being, he is putting down his gaurd and dating guys. (I might be wrong, but that's what I understood) and even if he is gay, he can still think Callie is hot. Hetero-sexual people think people of the same sex is hot and vice versa. It doesn't make you gay or straight. It's normal.
I don't think it was ever implied Ashley and Mike had sex, I think they just made out.

For me it was more of an annoyance. Hubby and I went out for the day with Colie. As I tried to get into the front seat I was politely pushed out of it by production. They don't talk yet they are funny.
Overall I liked this episode...However, like someone posted a while back, what are they doing with the editing?! They skip over people completely fo 2 or 3 episodes then the next 2 or 3 are all about them...it really annoys me.
Also, Josh...should just, like, give up on singing. It's not working. However, I think Erika's a good singer and should just be more confident in trying to find a band.
Also, I also get the vibe that all Emily says is "happiness comes from yourself blah blah blah". She sounds like a broken record.
Also I really liked the aftershow! I have a question, how long exactly is it filmed after they move out the house?

Politely pushed out, that is a nice way of saying it :) Colie invited me to Carnival for Purim! I thought she forgot about me hahah...
Back to the episode, the after show is filmed areound 2 weeks before the actual episode premiers, so it's a few months after taping is done.
There have been seasons where cast members have been pushed to the side for a few episodes. I remember one year, for a few episodes one castmember was barely noticeable. I remember telling my sister (when she still watched) I think the person went home for a few days. (I forgot who it was) But then the next episode he/she showed up again.
I am not talking about Simon from Paris, there were episodes where he wasn't even in it.

In the after show, he and Ashley were directly asked if they had sex with each other during the course of the show. Neither one of them answered directly, but their facial expressions and their reactions stongly implied that they did indeed...do the deed (I kinda like puns). And while I'm am aware you can be a gay man and find a woman hot, it seems (from the aftershow at least) that Mike still has romantic and/or sexual interest in women as a whole.

Thanks for clearing that up Sister Grimm. I like puns too. I guess I didn't know about their interaction (Mike's and Ashley's) or that he still has an interest in women, romantic/sexually, because I don't watch the Aftershows. I am sure it clears up a lot of questions.
This episode for me was okay. They are doing a good job of playing out the Mike story and him coming into his own. Though I didn't like that Andrew wasn't in the episode at all and hasn't really been in much of the series actually. Minus a couple of episodes. Next week looks crazy can't wait for the balcony scene to actually happen.
Keep in mind that there are gay men who force themselves sleep with women to sort of "take the gay out of them" or sleep with them to cover up that they are gay. But Mike still may be sexually attracted to women. Who knows.
I still don't know what to think about him, his aftershow comments differ from how he was in this latest episode. Even when everyone was calling him gay in the episode he didn't stand up for himself and say "No, I'm ********". So it seemed like he was accepting himself as a gay man, I don't know... He still seems like he's not sure of himself and uncomfortable when answering questions about his sexuality.

I have seen him indicate at some point that the gays could be just as hateful toward ******** men as the gay-haters though that is not exactly how he phrased it. It is kind of wierd if he calls himself bi and is in love with a man people see him as gay but if he called himself bi and was in love with a woman I doubt they would call him straight. I don't care what he is. I just find his "struggle/conflict" more interesting than anything else on this season thus far.
Did Ashley dress herself for that Aftershow? What on Earth.... the dress... the hair... is that crimping... extensions? She's a mess... but she has *****... should be great on the challenges.
Nice moment between Mike and his mom.
Josh is uh... yeah..
I don't know what to think about this season, I think im going through my phase where I'm not interested in BMP shows. Its like when Denver was on, I just didn't give a crap about Denver, Inferno 3, and then Sydney sort of drew me back but that was only when I they started to show previews for Gauntlet 3.
I don't know how to explain it, when I watch it, I'm interested, but if I miss it, I have no desire to find time to watch unless im flipping channels. To be honest, Andrew and Mike are the only reason why I continue to watch it, I think.
