What doesn't get talked about enough is that Joey on their season is IMO the biggest or top 3 biggest a $%holes ever to do the show for how he treated her. Ayiiia had a cutting issue and this man put glass all over the place and triggering notes and told her to her face to cut herself. That's some serious stuff.
And at the time, they may have put up a PSA about self harm that episode when Jonna went into the bathroom to check on her and hold her after she did do it. But this guy Joey still had the most fans of anyone on the cast. Sad, really.

I read the blog after my last post and it is about the incident. She's still not wrong about it. However, she seems bitter about not being cast on All Stars as well because why retweet someone wishing she was on season 2 of All Stars when in the midst of her giving focus to such a serious topic?
I don't know who Joey is or anything about Ayiiia other than Cutthroat where she claimed to be mentally tough but the timing of this is weird. She feels the way she does and that's fine but why share it now? All Stars is a good guess but the climate also blindly supports anyone claiming mental health for anything now. The season was 12 years ago. Ayiiia was in a lot of drama with everyone at various points. I specifically remember the boys in the house did not like her because they said she constantly did stuff for attention. They thought Emilee was a b. Jonna and Jasmine were their favorite girls. Joey took it too far in his hatred towards her though.
Ayiiia also talked in an interview recently about maintaining sobriety. In a fight with Emilee on the show, Emilee brought up a past heroin problem, but I don't know what she's struggled with lately. Maybe it stung that she's the only Cancun girl not over there. She seemed excited to be invited to Mark's birthday party.

What episode is this? I'm ashamed to admit as THE Jonna Stan I haven't watched that season outside of the first episode. It just seems pointless to go back and watch old stuff since they've all changed so much.
Cancun was one of the better new school seasons, I always felt so bad for Ayiia she was my favorite that season. Her story was so raw and real she has real strength
I always though the guys putting sticking notes around the suite telling Ayiiia to cut again and kill herself after finding out she was cutting was horrible on their part. Production should have stopped that them moment they brought up doing it.
The entire cast obsession of Joey liking them was pathetic now looking back as an adult and not a teen watching the first time.
I don't think she would have been anything as a competitor, she got eliminated by a 30+ year old Katie in her only season
I would have live for her drama and hookups. Even though I have never expect her to be a good competitor that elimination setup was horrible.
Agreed Cutthroat had pretty solid eliminations but Swat was poorly designed.
Only good thing about it was that it sent Big Easy home
