when a real world season comes on for me, I tend to gravitate to people with winning personalities and not based on looks

I may have said it wrong, but I meant that they usually cast hot young people, and it is going to lose more viewers if they see just average people. I know it sounds dumb, but I think it is the truth. I don't think it will be a bad season, I just think some people who care about how they look will find this season boring because they don't look like the people from Hollywood.

How does one know that the cast is not good looking? I'll admit that I don't think BMP has the best casting people in the business, but they are not stupid.

I never said they were stupid. But they don't look like a typical cast at all. Sure we could be saying this too quick, but they don't look too exciting.

I liked how the seasons before Vegas had mostly regular looking people (Julie, Beth, Rachel, Cory, Sarah Miamai, Montanta...the list goes on and one). I'm surprised that that would disappoint some people.
And "regular people" is by no means an insult to anyone. :wink:

I agree with OPD saying they used to be average looking people, but with today's standards they can't just be average people to them. They tend to pick pretty, young people.

I just feel that they could have cast a bit better. I mean look-wise. I like a person by personality, but so many of the new viewers watch to see hot, young people fight.
Am I looking at different photo's cause everyone is saying how ugly they are and I can barely see anything of them. How can you judge someone by looking at the back of their shirt or from a camera 25 feet away.

Yeah there isn't much that you can tell from those pics that can really tell how they look except at a distance. It's cool to possibly see the cast though and I can't wait to see them up close.

Yeah. I am glad that OPD got us some pictures though. So I am still not sure what to think about the guy in the rolled-up pants? Is it his form of style, gay, etc.?
Yeah since the photos are showing theyre backsides, it can be difficult to know if theyre ugly or not but in some cases you can. A way a person dresses says a lot about them half of the time (personality and appearance wise). These people just don't look like a typical Real World cast-group unless MTV did this intentionally.

I agree. i think style and appearance says a lot about characters at times. They just seem a little bland?

When this series airs, I'm definitely going to revisit each comment above and see if your powers of observation, based on so little, qualify you for the CIA or if they just belong in the *******. Maybe some of you can find the missing weapons of mass destruction...

Perhaps everyone just had a bad day all at the same time. I'm sure it will pass and largely be forgotten when the show comes out and we will all adopt our favorites characters as though they were stay kittens in need of a good home.
I'm so glad to read that someone else sees what I see. Which is nothing.
You can not tell who these folks are by looking at their backsides and to have spent so much time writing negative stuff about this group before you see their faces is very sad.
Spend time talking about something you know and not assuming.
